2006 Domaine Leflaive Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Domaine Leflaive Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (97WE, 95ST, 95WS, 94W&S, 93BH). Wine Enthusiast: "The balance of this wine is what makes it so impressive. Spice and yellow fruit intermingle effortlessly. There is a core of tight, coiled steel, like a spring, which gives minerality along with the richness. At the end, acidity lifts the wine, finishing with freshness as well as intensity. (RV)" (05/2009)

2008 J.-F. Coche-Dury Meursault
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 J.-F. Coche-Dury Meursault (93RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Meursault Villages is quite simply a fabulous wine, as good a village cru as you will find anytime, anyplace, anywhere. It has a stunning bouquet with quite brilliant delineation and detail: wet limestone, fresh lime and sea spray. The palate is beautifully balanced and seems to have such electricity flowing through it. There is impressive minerality from start to its Puligny-like finish. One of the finest of recent vintages from Coche-Dury and highly recommended if you have the pennies. (NM)" (10/2014)

2002 Louis Jadot Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Louis Jadot Bonnes Mares Grand Cru ((97-99RP), 95ST, (92-94BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Armed with huge quantities of fruit and perfectly ripened tannin, the medium to full-bodied 2002 Bonnes Mares explodes from the glass with stunning aromas of candied blueberries, rocks, and red cherries. This massive, broad, enormously rich wine could ultimately, like the Chapelle and Clos de Beze, earn a perfect score. Its velvety waves of sensual red and black fruits are interspersed with nuanced notes of spices, mocha, flowers, and minerals. While enormously powerful and ripe, it magically retains its freshness and sports an ethereal quality that is difficult to put into words. It is a tour de force in winemaking! Anticipated maturity: 2009-2020+. (PR)" (06/2004)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Henri Boillot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos de la Mouchère" (95BH, 95ST, 94RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Sexy aromas of peach, orange oil and smoky silex. Concentrated, layered and utterly seamless, with peach and soft citrus fruit flavors lifted by powerful flinty minerality. A premier cru with grand cru perfume and inner-palate energy. This sharply delineated wine stains the palate and builds inexorably on the sappy aftertaste. Superb." (10/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 1996 Domaine Meo-Camuzet Richebourg Grand Cru ((93-95RP), (92-95ST), 95WS, 94BH). Wine Spectator: "Ripe and balanced, offering wet earth, mineral, smoke and red berry complexity, this is superbly intense on the finish, with a round, velvety mouthfeel. Grows on you as it kicks into high gear, rockets to a beautiful finish. This grand cru from Jean-Nicolas Méo tastes sweeter and more hedonistic than his minerally Clos de Vougeot, but both get the same classic rating. (PM)" (09/1998)

1999 Bertrand Ambroise Corton Grand Cru "Le Rognet"
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1999 Bertrand Ambroise Corton Grand Cru "Le Rognet" ((94-97RP), 92ST, 91BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The intense, black-colored 1999 Corton Le Rognet reveals black fruit, fresh herb, and Asian spice aromas. Ambroise generally produces 32 hectoliters per hectare from his 0.7 hectares of vines in this grand cru. In 1999, however, he harvested 40 hectoliters per hectare at 14.5% natural potential alcohol. This is a monster of a wine, crammed with blackberries, road tar, cherries, kirsch, and a myriad of spices. Its loads of exquisitely ripened tannins are soaked in sweet, candied fruits. This powerful, chewy offering coats the taster's palate and lasts for almost a minute. It is, at present, unformed, yet will become civilized with cellaring. (PR)" (06/2001)

1999 Domaine Anne Gros Richebourg Grand Cru
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Domaine Anne Gros Richebourg Grand Cru (96RP, 94BH, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Here is another great wine from Anne Gros, which will reward those with the patience and nouse to cellar for an extended period. The 1999 Richebourg Grand Cru is backward and reticent on the nose, but it only takes a few swirls of the glass and it reveals gorgeous black cherry and raspberry fruit mixed with a hint of dark chocolate from some residual new oak that will be subsumed. The palate is medium-bodied with fine acidity. There is a smorgasbord of lush raspberry and wild strawberry fruit cloaked in new oak, but the wood does not obscure the grape variety or vineyard, allowing the character of the wine to be expressed with hints of white pepper sprinkled over the finish. What a great Richebourg, but one that I would actually afford another five years in the cellar. This is long-term. (NM)" (11/2015)

1999 Domaine Cathiard Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Aux Malconsorts"
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Domaine Cathiard Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Aux Malconsorts" (94BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Though there are some mature notes in evidence, the expressive nose is still relatively primary with wonderfully spicy yet subtle aromas of black fruit, hoisin and soy that give way to rich, seductive flavors that are supported by rounded and ripe tannins, all wrapped in a gorgeously complex and highly persistent finish. While this could certainly be enjoyed now, for my taste I would suggest continuing to hold for a few more years. Either way, this is a very special Malconsorts that should continue to impress for many years to come. In a word, terrific." (07/2013)

1999 Domaine Cathiard Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Les Suchots"
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1999 Domaine Cathiard Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Les Suchots". Cilve Coates ranks the Suchots climat as grand cru quality, saying: "Les Suchots occupies a flattenned egg sort of mound between Richebourg and Romanée-Saint-Vivant, and Echézeaux, and is the largest of the Vosne-Romanée premiers crus. There are just over 13 hectares. This is the most noble of all the first growths. In the best hands we really do get grand cru quality. The wine is full bodied, less lush than Brulées, less finely spirited (in a racehorse sense) than Beaumonts, but of great breeding nonetheless." He also recommends Domaine Cathiard as one to seek out.

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes (96BH, 95ST, 93WS, (90-92RP)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "In contrast to the general style of the vintage, this is still aromatically austere though with coaxing, reveals wonderfully complex aromas of a simply incredible array of black fruits, earth, spice, crushed herbs and notes of chocolate with flavors that are huge but fine, powerful but subtle and rich yet detailed with a stupendously long finish that offers intense minerality. This is genuinely stunning juice and not to be missed if you have the chance. Tasted multiple times with consistent notes save for one recent bottle that displayed a lot of volatile acidity that may have been due to a faulty cork." (09/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Nicolas Rossignol Volnay 1er Cru "Chevret" (94BH, 90ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A beautiful array of floral nuances that include rose petal, lavender and violet adds elegance to the restrained, airy and cool red currant aromas. The understated and equally restrained medium-bodied flavors culminate in an exceptionally pure and tension-filled finish that is pure silk. This lacy and strikingly beautiful effort is a classic Volnay as the palate impression is gossamer fine yet this will need plenty of cellar time. (AM)" (04/2012)

1990 Louis Jadot Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1990 Louis Jadot Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (96RP, 92WS, 91BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Chambertin-Clos de Beze gets my nod as the wine in the Jadot portfolio that should hit the highest peak in quality and pleasure. It needs at least 5-7 years in the cellar, and has the potential to last for 25 or more years. The color is a saturated dark ruby/purple, and the closed nose offers sweet, jammy aromas framed by noticeable smoky new oak. The magnificent richness, highly structured and delineated style, as well as the explosively rich finish, all make for a show-stopping impression. (RP)" (10/1992)

Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2011 Domaine de Montille Volnay 1er Cru "Les Mitans" (1.5L) (92BH, (90-92ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(100% vendange entier; 20% new oak; small, concentrated berries from old vines): Good medium red. Lovely subtle perfume of cherry and raspberry liqueur lifted by a peppery element. Sweet, dense and lively but restrained on the palate, with distinctly dark flavors of blueberry, licorice and bitter chocolate. The brooding finish features broad, palate-coating tannins. I like the peppery stem element here as it contributes energy without overpowering the wine's fruit. (ST)" (01/2013)

The hugely long finish fans out like a peacock's tail and this delivers grand cru quality." (06/2010)

I was convinced Prieur had screwed up by placing the 2002 Clos Vougeot after his Chambertin and Musigny, particularly after tasting the heights they achieved in this stellar vintage. I was wrong, it deserved the place of honor. Monstrous amounts of spices imbued with blackberries are found in its powerful aromatics. It is full-bodied, revealing a massive breadth, a liqueur of syrupy cassis and blackberries that linger seemingly forever in the mouth. Its broad shoulders, perfect ripeness, and fabulous density of fruit must be experienced to be believed. Huge, superripe nose combines black plum, brown spices, mocha, chocolate and roasted herbs. Voluptuous, superripe and very sweet, with a lushness of texture rare for young Bonnes-Mares. This has freshness and thrust, thanks to the inherent structure of this grand cru, but seems almost too sweet for Bonnes-Mares. Finishes very long, with sweet, fine, building tannins. Here, it has a really quite entrancing bouquet, that transparency intact but the fruit enhanced with time: strawberry and red currant, almost a "flinty" mineralité underneath. This is a strikingly stylish and balanced effort that is seriously long." Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Pucelles from Henri Boillot has a tighter nose than the Mouchere, touches of kiwi, green apple and a little gooseberry, then with further aeration the minerality of the terroir begins to come through: granite and a touch of flint. The palate is well balanced, quite floral on the entry with delicate touches of orange peel, apricot and white peach, that underlying digestif quality less pronounced than the Mouchere, but just showing on the finish. 2007 Domaine Ramonet Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Ramonet Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru (96BH, 95WS, 93ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Given the almost extreme reticence of the Bâtard, I was moderately surprised to see how wonderfully expressive this positively brilliant wine is already. The nose is simply stunning with a supremely elegant and kaleidoscopic range of spice, floral, citrus, stone and pain grillé notes that is the perfect complement to the racy, detailed and equally complex middle weight flavors brimming with the underlying minerality advertised by the nose, all wrapped in a driving, delineated and explosive finish. As good as the Ramonet Chevalier is, in the 10 vintages that it has been made, I can't think of one where it's the equal of the Montrachet. However, 2007 just might be that vintage." (10/2009)

Wine Spectator: " *Collectibles* There's a candied quality to the fruit in this white, with a lemon drop character augmented by hints of mint, hazelnut, butterscotch and spice, balanced on a firm structure. Still tight on the finish, this remains intense and creamy. Needs some time to open up. (BS) " (06/2013)

2011 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (97VN, (92-95BH), 94RP, 94WS, 92ST). Vinous: "The 2011 Batard-Montrachet boasts serious richness, depth and structure. A wine of pure brawn and intensity, the 2011 impresses for its exceptional balance and harmony, but it is also very reticent and nowhere near ready to show the full breadth of its personality. The finish alone is simply sensational. Readers should give the 2011 at least a few years in bottle to settle down. The Batard is imposing, sensational and regal in every way. (AG)" (09/2013)

2002 Domaine Maume Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Domaine Maume Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru (93BH, 93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This 2002 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru tasted wonderful back in 2008 and it continues to drink beautifully. It has superb delineation on the nose with vibrant red berry fruit, briary and cold stones – the mineralite heightened with time. The palate is poised, leafy and fresh, an elegant and rather understated Pinot Noir that is full of personality and charm. Lovely. (NM)" (04/2014)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A touch of wood spice sets off exceptionally fresh, cool and airy aromas of wild red berries plus stone and earth tones. There is good richness and intensity to the refined and energetic flavors that culminate in a harmonious and persistent finish that is moderately austere. I like the balance and this should age well." (01/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Domaine Taupenot-Merme Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru (93BH, 92WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "As it almost always is, here the nose is deeper and more serious with more obvious earth and game notes that add depth to the red and dark berry fruit aromas that merge into delicious, round and distinctly more masculine and powerful flavors that are punchy, long and while not rustic, certainly more robust than those of the Charmes. This duo presents almost the contrast as it did in 2005 with their qualitative similarity but quite different personalities. A high class choice." (01/2008)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Francois Carillon Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos St. Jean" (92VN, (89-91BH)). Vinous: "An exotic, rich Chassagne, 2011 Clos St. Jean is laced with apricot, peach, honey, almonds and hazelnuts. The style here is decidedly vinous, an intense wine with considerable textural volume and breadth. The Clos St. Jean emerges from a parcel replanted in 2004, so there will be a lot to look forward to as the vines age. (AG)" (09/2013)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Outstanding* Extract of cassis, earth, game and a certain animale character offer the nuance behind a nose of simply fabulous black fruit that introduces incredibly powerful, deep, broad, muscular and robust flavors that are vigorously structured, culminating in a chewy, long, almost implausibly complex finish. This is a stunning wine, combining breathtaking power, complexity and length into a harmonious whole. A great, great Vaucrains." (01/2004)

Bid on this bottle of 2009 J.-F. Coche Dury Meursault "Rougeots" (94RP, 94ST, 92BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Raphael served this 2009 Meursault les Rougeot blind following my tasting through his 2012s. It has a gorgeous waxy, honeysuckle bouquet with apricot blossom and fig jam aromas. It is exotic compared to the Coche-Dury style, but you won't complain. The palate is very intense with great concentration, superb acidity and layers of walnut-tinged citrus fruit that fan out wonderfully on the finish. It is a fabulous wine, one of the finest Meursault Rougeot that I have tasted from the domaine. (NM)" (06/2015)

Wine Enthusiast: " *Cellar Selection* The nose demonstrates that this is obviously a wood-aged wine. The palate has a huge, dense structure, and the wood-derived tannins are buried within its powerful fruit and acidity. For those prepared to wait for 7–8 years, this has the potential to become rich and opulant." (04/2013)

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep, bright red. Knockout vibrant nose combines purple and red berries, crushed stone, violet and animal fur. Lush, thick and deep but with terrific chalky energy animating the middle palate. Conveys striking depth to its red fruit and floral flavors, with the 45% new oak practically invisible today. Finishes with huge but round, noble tannins and outstanding lingering sweetness. In a more opulent style than the potentially great 2013, and probably for drinking before that wine. (ST)" (03/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Domaine Joseph Roty Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru "Très Vieilles Vignes" (95ST, 93BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Saturated ruby. Knockout nose combines dark berries, violets, spices and smoked meat. A '98 of remarkable sweetness and depth. Huge but broad tannins are completely buffered by the wine's sheer concentration. Resounding, utterly fresh finish. This comes across as more accessible today than the Mazis or Griottes due to its sheer volume and sweetness, but it should age well for two decades. 95+ (ST)" (04/2001)

Tactile and broad on the palate but tightly wound in the early going, with intense lemon drop and mineral flavors displaying terrific inner-mouth energy. Comes across as much more backward than the Meursault Perrières today, finishing with terrific saline punch and persistence. 93+? (ST)" (09/2015)

Wine Spectator: "A dark side emerges with La Tâche, revealing profound scents of violet, black currant, bilberry and licorice. Definitely meaty and solid--as the French would say, carrée (square)--yet with great depth, richness and length, along with sweet fruit. A fabulous La Tâche, like a well-tuned Ferrari, this is a red Burgundy of classic proportions. (Web Only--2012) (BS)"

Vibrant, precise aromas of black fruits, violet, minerals and gun metal. A wine of great breadth and verve; still quite closed but already displays great energy in the middle palate. Flavors of raspberry and gunflint offer lovely restrained sweetness. Solidly structured but not hard; still, this wine firm acids and solid tannins call for a good 8 to 10 years of bottle aging."
