1997 Domaine Anne Gros Richebourg Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1997 Domaine Anne Gros Richebourg Grand Cru (94RP, (91-94ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The dark ruby-colored 1997 Richebourg is a super wine. Its violet, herbal, spicy, and toasty nose leads to a silky textured core of amazing depth, ripeness, and harmony. It is expansive, crammed with jellied black fruits that seemingly linger forever on the oak spice-infused finish. This Richebourg will be the most pleasurable in its youth. (PR)" (10/1999)

2002 Domaine Jayer-Gilles Echezeaux du Dessus Grand Cru
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Domaine Jayer-Gilles Echezeaux du Dessus Grand Cru ((92-95RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Sporting a nose of spicy, tobacco-laced red fruits, the 2002 Echezeaux du Dessus displays a softly textured, medium-bodied core of cherries, raspberries, flowers, and earth. This wine’s gorgeously expressive personality displays exceptional depth, focus, and length. The Jayers, both Gilles and his retired father Robert, have produced more massive, concentrated Echezeauxs but this is the most elegant, feminine, and graceful I’ve tasted from this estate. 2009 Domaine de Courcel Pommard 1er Cru "Grand Clos des Epenots" (1.5L)
Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2009 Domaine de Courcel Pommard 1er Cru "Grand Clos des Epenots" (1.5L) (94BH, 94RP, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " Medium saturated color. Lovely, open fruit-filled nose is sweet and floral with scents of black cherry, raspberry, herbs, minerals, violets, and a little greenness in the background. On the palate, this juicy wine is quite similar to #10, displaying chocolate richness, excellent structure, concentration, firm tannins, good grip, and strong supporting acids. Very long, penetrating finish. Really superb, with a bright future! (NM-Wine Journal)" (08/2012)

2007 Domaine de Courcel Pommard 1er Cru "Rugiens"
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine de Courcel Pommard 1er Cru "Rugiens" (94ST, 94WE, 92BH, 92WS, 91RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium red, a bit less saturated than the Clos des Epenots. Explosive aromas of smoky minerality and earth; at once more pungent and nobler than the Grand Clos des Epenots. Then darker in its fruit character, with superconcentrated flavors of blackberry, black cherry, iron and minerals. Perfectly integrated acids give this a very suave texture and bring out the wine's sweetness. Finishes with superb building length. The Clos des Epenots is classic Pommard while this is more aristocratic. Made from a crop of just 22 hectoliters per hectare, according to Courcel. One of my favorite reds from the Cote de Beaune in 2007. (ST)" (03/2010)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Cherbaudes" Vieille Vigne ((89-92BH), 92ST, 90RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good medium red. Red raspberry, smoky minerality and a whiff of crushed rocks on the inviting nose. Dense, ripe and impressively rich, with the rocky quality carrying through in the mouth and leavening the wine's impression of glyceral sweetness. Wonderfully round, broad wine with a very long, ripely tannic, building finish. (ST)" (03/2010)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Louis Jadot Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (OWC - 96ST, (93-94RP), (91-93BH)) in original wood. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium red. Pungent red berry and mocha aromas are lifted by powerful crushed-stone minerality and complicated by an ineffable floral/earthy perfume. A real essence of 2008 on the palate, with outstanding sappy cut and penetration to the flavors of cherry, red berries, minerals and spice oil. The building finish spreads out inexorably to saturate the palate. Rigorous and stimulating: a wine of extraordinary complexity, energy and depth. This was one of my top 2008s from barrel a year ago and it's at least as impressive in bottle. (ST)" (04/2011)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru "Champans" ((94-96RP), 94BH, 94ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Volnay Champans wafts from the glass with an ethereal, nearly weightless personality that is hard to describe. There is plenty of length and sensuality, but in a suspended state that seems to hover above the palate. The Champans is delicate, feminine and flat-out beautiful. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2040. 1995 Domaine Dujac Echezeaux Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1995 Domaine Dujac Echezeaux Grand Cru (91RP, 90BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Dujac's light-colored wines are a testament to how much punch a deceptively shallow-looking Pinot Noir can deliver. The medium ruby-colored Echezeaux displays sweet, plummy fruits in the nose and an extremely refined, silky-textured, violet and cherry-filled, beautifully intense flavor profile. Elegant, this delicate gem should be at its best between 2004-2012. This note is the result of tastings I did in Burgundy between January 7 and January 29. (PR)" (06/1997)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Méo-Camuzet Corton "Clos Rognet" Grand Cru ((92-95BH), (92-94RP), 93ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is slightly riper and decidedly more complex than either of its two Corton stable mates with a broad ranging nose of plum and dark berry fruit that is liberally laced with sauvage and earth notes. This is a big wine with rich and very concentrated large-bodied flavors where the supporting tannins are buried beneath an impressive reserve of dry extract, all wrapped in a long, deep and powerful finish. Along with the Echézeaux, this may be the most overlooked wine in the Méo portfolio which I find quite curious given how consistently it delivers." (01/2012)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Michel Lafarge Volnay 1er Cru "Clos des Chenes" (94BH, 93RP, 93ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This too serves up a remarkably layered if extremely reserved nose that displays plenty of earth and spice as well as very fresh and cool aromas of red and blue pinot, floral notes and an obvious mineral influence that continues onto the tautly muscular and overtly powerful big-bodied flavors that are long, serious and focused on the presently austere finish. It's interesting to compare the quality of the tannins between this and the Caillerets - here they are denser but less fine and as a consequence, this will need a few extra years of cellar time." Allen Meadows - Burghound: "*Sweet spot Outstanding* This is more aromatically complex still with a beautifully floral nose of rose petal, violet and lavender as well as liqueur of red currant and black cherry. The hallmark minerality of this wine is very much in evidence on the palate staining flavors that possess a silky and highly sophisticated mouth feel while culminating in a dusty, explosive and gorgeously long finish. This does that wonderful slow build from the mid-palate to the finale and this should age exceptionally well." (04/2012)

Wonderful mineral tang lifts the complex aromas of raspberry, cherry, pomegranate, coffee, pepper and spices. Fat, sweet and deep, with the piquant minerality and a peppery element giving lift and energy to the middle palate. Notes of candied strawberry and raspberry are complicated by saline soil tones. Powerfully structured wine with long, bright finishing flavors that saturate the sides of the mouth. (ST)" (02/2012)

Delicious, precise, pure and fully suffused with an intense minerality, all complemented by sappy, fresh and deep old vine sap and complexity. It is another implosive, young wine that will require considerable patience. The energy and verve both bode well for the future. Exotic spices and dark fruit emerge even more fully as the wine fleshes out on the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2039. It shows superb delineation: glistening mineral notes, flint and granite with a background scent of apricot blossom. Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2010 Château de Puligny Montrachet Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru (1.5L) ((91-94BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An unusually expressive nose of yellow orchard fruits includes overt hints of the exotic as well as an abundance of wet stone notes. There is excellent richness and volume to the plush and extract-rich large-scaled flavors that possess a seductive texture on the delicious, complex and lingering finish that is linear, citrus-inflected and quite dry, all wrapped in plenty of toasty oak. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Nuits St. Georges Les Cailles comes across as cool, mineral infused and a bit reticent. With time in the glass the aromas and flavors begin to take shape. The Cailles remains a firm, structured Nuits that will require considerable patience, but its expressive fruit and gorgeous inner perfume bode very well for the future. Menthol, graphite, spices, tar and licorice wrap around the persistent, saline finish. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2035. I have to say, this is a stunning set of wines from Denis and Bertrand Chevillon. The Chevillons told me they were surprised by the quality of the wines given the challenges of the growing season. The 2010s saw 5-10 days of cold soak, followed by 15-21 days of cuvaison. The wines were aged on their lees in French oak barrels, 30% new for the top wines and less for the mid- and entry-le

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Boisson-Vadot Meursault 1er Cru "Les Chevalières" (90ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium yellow. Captivating, high-pitched nose combines lemon, white peach, powdered stone, smoke, flint and iodine. Then broad, dense and sweet but with brisk acids, a pungent crushed stone element and strong extract keeping the mid-palate under wraps today. Silky and quite full for the year but with firm acid/mineral spine giving this wine real grip. Finishes long and quite refined. A lovely 2007 for cellaring. (ST)" (09/2010)

2010 Domaine Ramonet Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Ramonet Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (95BH, 93WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A restrained, elegant and ultra-pure nose of honeysuckle, white peach, pear and soft green apple aromas gives way to wonderfully refined and equally pure flavors that display glimpses of a fine minerality on the intense and impeccably well-balanced finish that delivers sneaky length because just when you think that it's gone, it reappears. This doesn't wow you with power or punch or even intensity; instead, it's the harmony and completeness that make this so special. I would give it at least 8 years of cellar time and 10 to 12 will probably ultimately be ideal in the end." (06/2013)

2010 Domaine Ramonet Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Ramonet Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru . Praise from Clive Coates for the producer: "'Père' Ramonet was more than a character. He was, to use the old cliché - but it is true in this instance - a legend in his own lifetime. More or less from scratch, by dint of sheer hard work and a genius for wine, he built up one of the finest white wine domaines in Burgundy. Today the name of Ramonet is synonymous with top Chardonnay. The allocations for bottles are fought over, for every collector considers it his or her right to own some. They sell at auction for astronomical sums whenever they appear....I find the Ramonet reds refreshingly direct. They are full, ample and plump, nicely concentrated but nicely succulent at the same time. Chassagne reds will never be great, and can be over-extracted. But the Ramonets get theirs right. The whites, on the other hand, are exceptional. They are distinctive, full-bodied and long-lasting. They are rich and mascu

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine de la Pousse d'Or Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru ((92-95ST), 94BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(just three barrels made, one new; from darker soil): Good dark red. Soil-driven aromas of blackberry, coffee, mocha, brown spices and menthol. Silky, thick and impressively concentrated, with an explosive flavor of black cherry jelly complicated by spicy oak. Most impressive today on the building, very long finish, which features noble tannins. (ST)" (01/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Armand Rousseau Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru ((89-92BH), 18JR). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This too is quite ripe though by no means surmature, offering a mix of black cherry and blue berry accompanied by ample earth and game hints that continue onto the rich, sweet, textured and fleshy flavors that are generous but not soft on the opulent and deep finish. Like the Gevrey, this is more expressive and accessible than usual at this stage though there is an underlying tannic spine that will enable to improve for up to a decade. Drink: 2013+" (01/2007)

2011 Domaine Bruno Clair Chambertin-Clos de Beze Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Bruno Clair Chambertin-Clos de Beze Grand Cru (94RP, 93BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. The Chambertin Clos de Bèze 2011 from Bruno Clair has a very succinct bouquet with red cherries, crushed strawberry and a deft touch of bergamot that is detailed and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent, ripe tannins and very well-judged acidity that keeps the whole thing tense and poised. This feels natural and refined with wonderful poise and grace on the delineated finish. There is some oak to be fully absorbed here, but the class shows through. (NM)" (11/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Denis Bachelet Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes ((91-94BH), 94RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Pre-selection and rigorous sorting appear to have eliminated any negative impact of hail in Bachelet's 2006 Charmes-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes, but with the result that this virtually always intense and well-structured wine from 80 year old vines is even more so than usual. Bitter-sweet herbal, tarry, and almost liqueur-like dark berry concentrates (cassis and black raspberry) – along with low-toned roast meatiness – inform a seamless palate, softer to the touch and with a more restrained impression of acidity than the old vines village Gevrey, yet still plenty of vivacious primary fruit juiciness. Hints of sealing wax and inner-mouth perfume of peony, heliotrope, and rose add intrigue and allure. Resin, iodine, and wet stone convey a sense of depth in the lingering finish, and speaking of 'lingering,' the empty glass smells so sweetly fr

Vinous: "Dark red berries, plums, spices, licorice and mint jump from the 2012 Morey-St. Denis Clos Solon. Deep, rich and beautifully layered in the glass, the Clos Solon is a great introduction to the vintage at Fourrier. The 2012 is silky, powerful and absolutely impeccable from start to finish. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine J-F Mugnier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Fuées" (92RP, (88-91ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuees impresses for its superb textural richness. Dark red cherries, flowers, mint and spices are woven together in a fabric of notable beauty. There is plenty of tannic material, but the fruit is so dense the wine’s structural elements are a bit in the background. The wine continued to close down in the glass, which is likely to be quite positive for its aging potential. Despite the massive temptation to drink this early, my impression is that patience will be rewarded. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029. (AG)" (04/2012)

Of the 2010 Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les St. Georges",Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Bright medium red. Lovely high-toned aromas of currant, dried flowers, stone, tobacco, leather and earth. Silky and concentrated, with terrific lift and noble rusticity to its rich, sharply delineated red fruit flavors. Really saturates the entire mouth without leaving any impression of weight. The tannins are completely enrobed by the wine's velvety texture. This impeccably balanced wine leaves the taste buds vibrating. Boasts the class and texture of a grand cru.
