2010 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape (99RP, 98WS, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape flirts with perfection. A classic blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre and the rest Syrah, Vaccarese and Counoise, all aged in large foudres in Clos des Papes's air-conditioned and humidity-controlled wine cellar, the wine boasts a dense purple color along with lots of gorgeously pure black raspberry, black currant and kirsch liqueur notes intermixed with notions of spring flowers, tapenade, licorice and spice box. This dense, full-bodied, powerful Chateauneuf is also remarkably fresh and well-delineated. It even exceeded the 2007 in natural alcohol, coming in at 15.9%. With an extraordinary texture and considerable tannin in the finish, it will benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age, and is built for 25-30 years of cellaring. Don't miss it! This admirably run estate has essentially been practicing biodynamic farming for nearly 15 years, but

2007 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96RP, 95WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Vieux Telegraphe may be the greatest wine made at this property since the 2005 and 1998. Dense ruby/purple-tinged with an exquisite nose of salty sea breezes, licorice, ground pepper, jammy black cherries, black currants, figs, and plums, this is a full-bodied, rich, Provencal-styled offering with lots of sweet, ripe tannin. It is surprisingly accessible for a Vieux Telegraphe (this wine normally shuts down several years after bottling), but it should have great longevity (25+ years) given its power, full-bodied mouthfeel, and enormous length and richness. This is a brilliant effort from brothers Frederic and Daniel Brunier. (96+, RP)" (10/2009)

2009 Domaine du Pégaü "Cuvée Réservée" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine du Pégaü "Cuvée Réservée" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (98RP, 95WS, 94WE, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The bottled 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Reservee is as compelling as I thought it would be after tasting it last year. A blend of 85% Grenache with the rest Syrah, Mourvedre and small dollops of the other authorized varietals, this wine tends to come from the estate’s holdings in the eastern sector of Chateauneuf du Pape. The opaque purple-colored 2009 exhibits magnificent, rich berry fruit intertwined with cedar, Christmas fruitcake, licorice, charcuterie, roasted meats, smoked duck, kirsch, blackberries and god knows what else. It is an amazingly complex, rich, full-throttle wine that reminds me somewhat of what the 1990 tasted like in 1994/1995. It is a magnificent Chateauneuf du Pape. If you are looking for the garrigue component, it's also there. (RP)" (10/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 E. Guigal "Château d'Ampuis" Côte-Rotie (97RP, 96WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More ripe, voluptuous and decadent, the 2009 Cote Rotie Chateau d’Ampuis offers rocking dark fruits, cured meats, dried flowers, licorice and toasty/graphite-like qualities to go with a full-bodied, pedal-to-the-metal style on the palate. Gaining more and more freshness as it sat in the glass, this prodigious effort can be consumed anytime over the coming 2-3 decades. (JD)" (08/2014)

2011 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96RP, 95WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the stars of the vintage and coming from absurdly low yields of 18 hectoliters per hectare, the 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape is a full-bodied, seamless effort that exhibits copious kirsch, ground pepper, dried flowers and underbrush as well as incredibly fine tannin, great mid-palate concentration and ample length on the finish. Relatively forward by this estate’s standards, it will be approachable at an earlier age than normal. Nevertheless, it will have 20+ years of evolution and is an awesome effort in the vintage. Drink 2015-2030. (JD)" (10/2013)

2010 Domaine du Pégaü "Cuvée Réservée" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine du Pégaü "Cuvée Réservée" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (98RP, 97WS, 94ST, 93W&S, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Looking at the 2010s and a brilliant vintage for Laurence, the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape offers up classic Pegau aromas and flavors of ripe dark fruits, garrigue, cured meats, tobacco leaf, saddle leather and hints of game. Full-bodied and beautifully concentrated, it offers a seamless, layered profile on the palate with thrilling mid-palate depth, sweet, yet substantial tannin, and a blockbuster finish that stays fresh and beautifully focused. Quite polished by this estates standards, it nevertheless screams southern France and I doubt it’s possible to have too much of this beauty in the cellar. It will absolutely thrill over the coming 2-3 decades. (JD)" (10/2013)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (94WS, 93ST, 92RP). Wine Spectator: "This is crammed with fruit, spice and structure, as braised fig, plum skin, cassis and anise notes wrestle with roasted apple wood, melted red licorice and tar for now. The embedded grip should carry the finish until this assimilates fully. Best from 2014 through 2024." (10/2011)

Wine Spectator: "Still tight, but this has a solid core of muscular fig paste, currant, tobacco, black olive and iron notes, followed by a long, well-structured finish. Shows the heat of the vintage, but isn't roasted. Best from 2008 through 2015. " (05/2007)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the finest cuvees of regular Hermitage Guigal has ever produced is the 2003 Hermitage. Copiously fruity with a blackberry/cassis liqueur note, huge, flowery, almost chocolatey richness with superb freshness, purity, and a stunning thickness and opulence, this is spectacular Hermitage that should drink well for 30+ years. 2010 Domaine Grand Veneur "Vieilles Vignes" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Grand Veneur "Vieilles Vignes" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100RP, 95ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A monumental effort meriting a perfect score, the super-rich 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes is a 4,000-bottle blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah from 55- to 105-year-old vines and was aged for 18 months in small oak. The wine offers majestic blackberry and cassis fruit intermixed with kirsch, licorice and subtle Provencal herbs in the background. It is akin to chewing meat in the mouth given its viscosity and thickness. This utterly amazing wine comes close to being over the top, but it pulls back just in time. A massive Chateauneuf du Pape (even for a 2010), it needs 5-6 years of cellaring and should age effortlessly for 25-30 years. Bravo! (RP)" (10/2012)

1993 Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this bottle of 1993 Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In 1993, Vieux-Telegraphe was able to harvest virtually all of its crop at sugar levels that produced a wine of 14% alcohol. The outstanding 1993 reveals an impressively saturated dark ruby/purple color, and a spicy, Provencal herb, pepper, black-cherry and raspberry-scented nose with a touch of licorice. Full-bodied, with firm tannin and structure (reminiscent of the 1989), as well as layered richness, this Chateauneuf du Pape has 10-15 years of aging potential. Last tasted 8/96. (RP)" (01/1997)

Wine Spectator: " *Ranked #8 in the Top 100 Wines of 2008 & a Collectibles designation* Really dense and locked up now, this is packed with dark fig, currant and blackberry fruit shrouded by layers of tar, hot stone, bittersweet licorice and espresso. The long, dense finish has a great tug of iron buried within it. Best from 2011 through 2030." (04/2008)

The long finish has great briary grip, with notes of garrigue and hot stone checking in. Best from 2010 through 2030." (04/2008)

2010 Domaine Faury Côte-Rôtie
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Faury Côte-Rôtie (93ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Inky ruby. Smoke-accented cherry, cassis and blueberry on the nose, with hints of olive, violet and dark chocolate. Big, palate-coating and chewy, with good depth to its dark berry and floral pastille flavors. Shows alluring sweetness on the finish, with supple tannins adding support and shape. More fleshy and open-knit than the Saint-Joseph Vieilles Vignes, which will likely outlive this wine.
