2004 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Châteauneuf-du-Pape (94VN, 93RP, 93WS). Vinous: "Bright ruby. Vibrant red berry and cherry aromas, with a complex array of fresh floral and garrigue qualities adding complexity. Nervy, sharply focused raspberry and bitter cherry flavors stain the palate and zesty acidity adds lift on the close. More energetic and finely etched than the 2005 today. (JR)" (01/2008)

2005 Le Clos du Caillou "La Réserve" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Le Clos du Caillou "La Réserve" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100RP, 97WS, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The best bottle of this I've ever had, the 2005 Châteauneuf du Pape Reserve was utter perfection on this occasion. Made from a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Mourvèdre that was raised mostly in demi-muids, it exhibits awesome notes of blackberry, licorice, smoked herbs, graphite and tinges of minerality. Decadent, massively full-bodied and with sweet tannin, this thrilling Châteauneuf is hard to resist now, yet should continue to knock it out of the park for another decade or more. (JD)" (02/2015)

1995 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1995 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (95WS, 92RP). Wine Spectator: "Very youthful, with a ripe core of red currant and raspberry fruit and licorice flavor surrounded by creamy tannins. Plenty of smoke, mineral and tobacco notes chiming in, but this still has a ways to go, with plenty of grip still on the finish." (03/2006)

2001 Domaine du Clos du Caillou "Les Quartz" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Domaine du Clos du Caillou "Les Quartz" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (99RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Quartz was a total shocker, and was easily the best bottle of this I’ve had; more than one taster at this retrospective had it as their wine of the tasting. Giving up phenomenal notes of blackcurrants, beef blood, ground pepper and crushed rock, it flows onto the palate with full-bodied richness, outrageous concentration and a finish that won’t quit. I’ve had a few bottles that possessed excessive volatile acidity, but not this bottle, and I seriously toyed with the idea of adding another point on here. Regardless, it’s profound stuff to drink over the coming 3-4 years. (JD)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2007 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (95RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A beautiful wine that's just now hitting maturity, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape from Jean-Paul Daumen is still ruby colored to the rim and offers up a classic bouquet of black raspberries, black licorice, fruit cake, garrigue and roasted meats. Full-bodied and concentrated, yet with a seamless, impeccably balanced profile, it's drinking beautifully today but has another 10-15 years of overall longevity. (JD)" (02/2017)

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Domaine de la Janasse "Chaupin" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96RP, 96WS, 94VN). Wine Spectator: "This gushes with boysenberry reduction, linzer torte and loganberry flavors allied to a rich, creamy mouthfeel. But there's also plenty of grip, with underlying notes of mocha, mineral, sweet toast and incense that add volume and definition to the lengthy finish. Drink now through 2030. 350 cases imported. Bid on this bottle of 2010 E. Guigal "La Doriane" Condrieu (100RP, 97JD, 94VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The finest Condrieu I’ve ever tasted is unquestionably the 2010 Condrieu la Doriane. Possessing over the top richness and depth, as well as phenomenal purity and elegance, it offers to-die-for notes of white flowers, apricots, liquid rocks, caramelized citrus and toasted bread. Full-bodied, layered, multi-dimensional and with blockbuster length, Viognier just doesn’t get any better. (JD) " (12/2016)

1998 Delas "Les Bessards" Hermitage
Bid on this bottle of 1998 Delas "Les Bessards" Hermitage (96RP, 92ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another sensational wine was the 1998 Hermitage les Bessards, which was poured from magnum. Showing a touch of maturity in its rich, full-bodied and concentrated style, it offers lots of dusty minerality, cured meats, smoked earth and mulled spices to go with a core of currant and cassis-like fruit. Balanced, layered and elegant, yet certainly not lacking in depth or density, it's drinking beautifully today but will hold nicely for another 15-20 years (JD)" (07/2015)

1998 Tardieu-Laurent Côte-Rôtie
Bid on this bottle of 1998 Tardieu-Laurent Côte-Rôtie ((94-96RP), 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An amazing effort is the 1998 Cote Rotie, which comes from three hillside vineyards - La Landonne, Les Grandes Places, and Cote Rozier. The wine's dark purple color is followed by an explosive, exotic bouquet of bacon fat, cherry liqueur, black olives, roasted meats, and toasty wood. This expressive, voluptuously-textured, full-bodied, powerful, concentrated Cote Rotie reveals some tannin in the finish. (RP)" (10/1999)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 E. Guigal "Château D'Ampuis" Côte-Rôtie (96RP, 94WS, 92VN, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A wine I’ve been lucky enough to have numerous times recently, the 2003 Cote Rotie Chateau d’Ampuis is an off-the-hook effort that gives up plenty of plum sauce, smoked duck, licorice, tar, vanilla bean and violet aromas and flavors. Never acidified, it has awesome freshness and focus to go with full-bodied richness, a hedonistic texture and a blockbuster-styled finish. While it’s not for those craving delicate-styled aromas and textures, I think it’s a gorgeous effort that will continue to drink nicely over the coming decade or more. (JD)" (08/2014)

2009 Domaine Santa Duc "Prestige des Hautes Garrigues" Gigondas
Bid on this 9-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Santa Duc "Prestige des Hautes Garrigues" Gigondas (96RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A big, rich and massively endowed wine is the 2009 Gigondas Prestigue des Hautes Garrigues. About as hedonistic as Gigondas gets, with overflowing notes of cassis, black raspberries, garrigue and spice, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, sweet, sweet tannin and a stacked mid-palate. I doubt it will be as long lived as the 2010, but it will offer incredible amounts of pleasure over the coming 10-15 years. (JD)" (10/2016)

2010 Alain Voge Cornas Vieilles Vignes
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Alain Voge Cornas Vieilles Vignes (98RP, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cornas Vieilles Vignes is jaw-dropping stuff. Inky colored and incredibly concentrated, with sensational notes of bouquet garni, iron (blind I might have guess 2010 Clape), violets, crushed rock and decent black and blue fruits all soaring from the glass. Full-bodied, layered and pure, with awesome freshness despite it massive size and concentration, it's a profound Cornas that needs another 3-4 years of bottle age yet will have three decades of overall longevity. 2003 Domaine des Remizières "L'Essentiel" Hermitage
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Domaine des Remizières "L'Essentiel" Hermitage (98RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Only 3,000 bottles of the 2003 Hermitage l’Essentiel were produced from the most concentrated, port-like, atypical, but extraordinary barrels. A remarkable black/purple color to the rim is accompanied by a wine of tremendous unctuosity, surprising minerality and definition, prodigious concentration and glycerin, and high alcohol (15.6%) for Hermitage. Representing the essence of wine, it should drink well in 3-4 years, and last for three decades or more. Once all the baby fat falls away, it should be regarded as classic, although nothing like this has ever emerged from Hermitage in any vigneron’s lifetime. (RP)" (02/2006)

1998 Château La Nerthe "Cuvée des Cadettes" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1998 Château La Nerthe "Cuvée des Cadettes" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (96RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Possibly the greatest vintage ever for this cuvee (we'll see if the 2010 tops it in another decade), the 1998 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee des Cadettes is up with the creme de la creme of the vintage. Still fresh, concentrated and lively, with medium to full-bodied richness and polished tannin, it reveals a vibrant ruby color to go with tons of garrigue, leather, chocolate, cured meats and spice. A blend of 37% Mourvedre, 36% Grenache and the rest Syrah that spent 12 months in small barrels followed by six months in tank, it's an incredible, modern-styled Chateauneuf du Pape that's drinking spectacularly today. Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Chateauneuf-du-Pape (97JD, 95RP, 94WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "I reviewed the 2007 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Châteauneuf-du-Pape in Issue #1, and this bottle was consistent with that review. One of the top successes in the vintage, this goes from strength to strength with stunning aromatics and a blockbuster palate that delivers full bodied power, yet is light, perfectly balanced and incredibly long. I’m a huge fan and this should be a long lived Châteauneuf." (08/2010)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96JD, 96JS, 96RP, 93WS, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beaucastel has been on a terrific qualitative roll over the last four vintages, and the 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape (which Francois Perrin feels is similar to the 1990, although I don’t see that as of yet) is a 15,000-case blend of 30% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre, 10% Syrah, 10% Counoise, and the balance split among the other permitted varietals of the appellation. This inky/ruby/purple-colored cuvee offers a classic Beaucastel bouquet of new saddle leather, cigar smoke, roasted herbs, black truffles, underbrush, and blackberry as well as cherry fruit. It is a superb, earthy expression of this Mourvedre-dominated cuvee. Full-bodied and powerful, it will undoubtedly close down over the next several years, not to re-emerge for 7-8 years. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (94W&S, 93JD, 93WS, 92RP, 92WE). Wine & Spirits: "From the Plateau de la Crau in the southeast portion of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Bruniers produce this wine from vines averaging 50 years of age. The brooding, densely ripe 2003 feels richer and bigger than the 2001 or 1998, yet the weight is perfectly supported by its tannic structure. Velvety flavors of blackberry, black cherry, chocolate and clove are gripping and focused. As lovely as this is now, it will be even more expressive with another five years in the cellar." Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Mas de Boislauzon Châteauneuf-du-Pape (93RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The stunning 2009s include the 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape, which is showing even better than it did last year. This strong, powerful, concentrated effort exhibits a dense purple color as well as loads of blueberry, black currant and black cherry fruit. A blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 15% Mourvedre, it is a sexy, opulent, voluptuous, seductive, head-turning Chateauneuf that should drink beautifully for 10-12 years. (RP)" (10/2011)

Wine Spectator: "Really dense and locked up now, this is packed with dark fig, currant and blackberry fruit shrouded by layers of tar, hot stone, bittersweet licorice and espresso. The long, dense finish has a great tug of iron buried within it. Best from 2011 through 2030. *Collectibles, #8 of Top 100 Wines of 2008* (JM) " (04/2008)
