2007 Domaine de Montille Volnay 1er Cru "Les Taillepieds"
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine de Montille Volnay 1er Cru "Les Taillepieds" ((91-93BH), 93ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, full red. Highly complex, pretty aromas of raspberry and flowers hint at the sweetness of the vintage. Lively, nuanced and deep, with a sappy minerality that would have had me guessing Côte de Nuits. Really resounds on the broad, sweet, very long finish. This has delivered on its early potential and is an outstanding effort for the vintage. (ST)" (03/2010)

2007 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 93VN, 92CG, 91W&S, 91WS, 90JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the finest Private Reserves made over the last two decades, this phenomenal wine is obviously still an infant in terms of development, but it exhibits a dense purple color as well as an extraordinary nose of blackberries, white chocolate, licorice, tobacco leaf, smoky barbecue, charcoal and a burning ember-like note reminiscent of a Graves from Bordeaux. A dense, luscious, full-bodied, opulent style, with sweet tannin, this locked and loaded, intense, full throttle Private Reserve should be accessible in 5-6 years and last for 25-30. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the perfect wines from Shafer is the 2007 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select. Think it over – in the first decade of the 21st century, Shafer scored three perfect scores and two 99s – that’s about as high a praise as I can give any producer in the world. Opaque purple in color, the 2007 has a stunning nose of sweet crème de cassis, black cherries, licorice, and toasty oak, a multilayered, full-throttle personality, and a texture that builds and builds. Great purity, fabulous fruit intensity and a richness without heaviness characterize this massive, prodigious effort from Shafer. It’s still very young, despite this vintage, which seems to be maturing precociously. I don’t believe this wine will hit its stride for at least another 5-10 years and drink well for at least 2-3 decades. (RP) " (12/2014)

Of the 2007 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Wine Spectator writes: "Exhibits deep, penetrating aromas of cedar, mocha and graphite, with layers of dark berry scents centered around blackberry and wild berry. Full-bodied, dense and chewy, this is a muscular and chiseled work of beauty, ending with chewy, fruit- and tobacco-infused flavors. Best from 2012 through 2025. (JL)" (10/2010)

2007 Screaming Eagle "Second Flight" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Screaming Eagle "Second Flight" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The essence of this generous, voluptuous vintage comes through loud and clear in the 2007 Second Flight. A jewel of a wine, the 2007 is endowed with gorgeous depth and tons of personality. Raspberry jam, freshly cut flowers and licorice all flow through to a deep, enveloping finish that is pure 2007. This is another great showing from Screaming Eagle. In 2007 the blend is 59% Cabernet Sauvignon and 41% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2022. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 93ST, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Palengat Proprietary Red Wine is made up of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Cabernet Franc, with the balance Merlot and Petit Verdot. Deep purple in color, it delivers a captivating nose of olives, herbs, Asian spices, blackberry, and plum. Medium to full-bodied and elegant on the palate, it has outstanding volume and concentration, an opulent texture, and a suave personality. Already complex, it will continue to evolve with another 5-7 years of cellaring. Drink it from 2015 to 2027. Quilceda Creek remains Washington's benchmark for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. The Golitzins were ecstatic about the fruit quality in 2007, a near-perfect vintage from their perspective. (JM)" (08/2010)

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Ripe, mineral-driven aromas of lemon zest, menthol, lavender and powdered stone. Creamy-sweet and palate-staining, with superb layered concentration and ripeness. Wonderfully fat, old-school grand cru combining uncanny viscosity with strong mineral spine. Finishes with superb length. This may yet go into a shell, but it's spectacular today." (09/2009)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Utter perfection, and one of the most profound Rhone Ranger wines I have ever tasted... As with many prodigious wines, the extraordinary freshness, purity, equilibrium, and singularity of this effort is breathtaking. Its dense purple color is accompanied by an extraordinary, incredibly pure, all enveloping, intense, sweet nose of black raspberries, kirsch, spring flowers, spice box, and pepper. Full-bodied with not a hard edge to be found, it is stunningly concentrated with unreal purity, a voluptuous texture, and remarkable freshness for a wine of such power, depth, and concentration. 2007 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrieres"
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrieres" (95W&S, 94RP, 94ST, 93BH, 92WS). Wine & Spirits: "Perrières is the site of an old stone quarry, a walled vineyard near the border with Puligny, where Pierre Morey purchased 1.28 acres in 1987. He has farmed this parcel under biodynamic practices since 1998. It produced a flashy, Old World style of Burgundy in 2007, a heady mix of beeswax, wildflower honey, freshly churned butter, earthier notes of mushrooms and fresher scents of lemon zest. The wine's grand complexity all emanates from the chalky stone character at its center. One of our panelists, Mariko Kobayashi, commented that 'the wine has identity rather than personality.' It's all about the terroir rather than the winemaker, and it is magnificent terroir." (10/2009)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 98JS, 95WS, 94ST, 94VN, 94W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Retasting the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon was a treat as I believe it is the greatest Cabernet Sauvignon Spottswoode has ever produced. Wonderful aromas of black raspberries, blueberries, black currants and flowers jump from the glass of this dark ruby/purple-tinged Cabernet. As I have stated before, if Chateau Margaux were in Napa Valley, it would be Spottswoode. The purity, balance and delicacy of this wine are impressive. Perhaps slightly less dense and powerful than the 2008, the 2007 is flawlessly put together with nothing out of place. It, too, should age effortlessly for 20-30+ years. (RP)" (12/2010)

2007 Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair Vosne-Romanee
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair Vosne-Romanee. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Liger-Belair’s 2007 Vosne-Romanee rather unusually mingles scents of cherry, cinnamon, toasted pecan, resin, and tomato foliage. The wine’s pungency and tactile impingement of cinnamon spice help convey a more emphatic palate presence and at the same time this is less delicate than the corresponding 2008. That it sends out somewhat mixed messages in terms of ripeness does not prevent if from being intriguingly delicious. (DS)" (06/2010)

2007 Chante Cigale Châteauneuf-du-Pape "Vieilles Vignes"
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Chante Cigale Châteauneuf-du-Pape "Vieilles Vignes" (95RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The compelling 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes (78% Grenache and the rest Syrah and Mourvedre) is made from 60- to 120-year-old vines. Its dense plum/purple hue is followed by knock-out aromas of incense, crushed pepper, cedar, black currant jam, licorice, and sweet cherries. Voluptuously textured, opulent, and round with well-formed, moderately high tannins that are nearly covered by the wine’s fruit and glycerin, it will easily last 15-20 years in a cold, damp cellar. I wish I saw more of these wines in the marketplace as I have been a big fan of this estate since I first tasted their 1978s. (RP)" (10/2009)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Showing the quality of the vintage, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape is an incredible wine. Possessing the classic kirsch liqueur, incense, flowers and licorice aromas and flavors that always show here, it flows onto the palate with a jaw dropping good texture that carries massive amounts of fruit, beautiful mid-palate concentration and a layered, silky feel. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine Saint Siffrein Chateauneuf-du-Pape (94RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The finest effort I have yet tasted from this estate, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape is composed of 65% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre, and 5% Cinsault. Its traditional upbringing included 100% aging in old foudres. Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by a big, sweet, juicy kiss of kirsch liqueur intermixed with blacker fruits, raspberries, licorice, camphor, and hints of lavender and incense. The wine exhibits terrific concentration, full-bodied intensity, and a 45-50-second finish. This sensational Chateauneuf du Pape will benefit from another 2-3 years of bottle age, and should drink well for 15-20 years. (RP)" (10/2009)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine Senechaux Châteauneuf-du-Pape (94RP, 92WS, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The fabulous 2007 Châteauneuf-du-Pape (a blend of 64% Grenache, 19% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre, and the rest Cinsault and Vaccarese) boasts a deep plum/ruby/purple color as well as a super expressive perfume that represents the essence of Provence. Fresh bouquet garni, roasted Provencal herbs, licorice, black cherries, and black currant aromas soar from the glass of this full-bodied, incredibly deep, savory wine. Juicy and succulent with terrific acidity, freshness, and length, it is accessible now, and should continue to drink well for 12-15 or more years. Bravo to the Cazes family! This 60+ acre estate was acquired by the Cazes family (proprietors of Château Lynch-Bages in Pauillac) in late 2006. Veeder displays a dense purple color in addition to a beautiful perfume of spring flowers, blueberries, raspberries, and cool black currants as well as power and richness allied to elegance and burgeoning complexity. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Cepparello comes across as rich, round and totally seductive in this tasting. Stylistically, it shares many attributes with the 1990 and 1997, although in my view it is more elegant than those wines. There is an immediacy about the 2007 that is highly appealing, and which will make the wine accessible relatively early. Layers of fruit build beautifully to an exciting crescendo of aromas and flavors. This is an undeniably sexy Cepparello. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2027 ... (AG)" (06/2012)

2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WE, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A monumental wine in the making, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of those wines that presents such an over the top array of aromas and flavors that it’s hard to figure out what you think about it with just a quick glance. It’s only with the second or third sip that you really start to see how special this effort truly is. Offering up perfumed, intense aromas of plum, violets, ink, licorice and black currants, it flows onto the palate with a massive, incredibly full-bodied texture that builds through the mid-palate and carries layers of polished tannins, awesome purity of fruit and blockbuster length. Most likely not for everyone given the sheer size, it is an incredible wine in my opinion. Still tasting like a barrel sample, it will have 30+ total years of longevity. Drink 2017-2037. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine de la Charbonnière "Les Hauts Brusquières Cuvée Spéciale" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine is composed of a selection the Maret family makes from their holdings in one of the great sites in all of Chateauneuf du Pape, the lieux-dit known as La Crau. The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Hautes Brusquieres Cuvee Speciale is a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah. The Grenache is aged in large oak foudres and most of the Syrah in smaller barrels. This fabulous, inky/ruby/purple-tinged wine offers up sweet, jammy aromas of black raspberries, licorice, truffles, underbrush, and Provencal herbs. It is the deepest colored of these four wines, and is also profoundly rich and layered, with sweet tannins as well as refreshing vibrancy and acidity. 2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (98RP, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had always believed the 2007 Pinot Noir was the finest Helen Turley and John Wetlaufer had produced at their Estate Vineyard, but after doing this vertical and seeing the performances of the 1998, 2002 and 2004, that belief rings somewhat hollow. The still young, incredible 2007 has all the potential needed to achieve a three-digit rating in a few years. A dense plum/purple color is followed by notes of subtle smoke, barbecue spice, blueberries, red and black currants, flowers, and a smoky meat-like character that I first compared to the aroma of Peking duck. There is something exotic about this full-bodied, dense 2007. Young and vibrant, it should hit its peak in 5-6 years, and last until 2030-2035. This world-class, prodigious Pinot Noir is probably better than 90% of the red Burgundies being produced. (RP)" (06/2014)

As always, it is a great value offering a fragrant, already complex nose of confiture of black fruits, incense, and Asian spices. On the palate it is savory and elegant with a plush texture. 2007 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JS, 100RP, 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 550-cases of the perfect 2007 Cariad (original rating was 99), a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot and the rest equal parts Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. One of northern California’s watershed vintages for Bordeaux varietals, according to Allison Tauziet, this wine revealed great potential from the day the first grapes were crushed. It possesses a dense purple color, massive fruit, soft but high tannin, and a structural profile somewhat similar to the 2002. There appears to be more underlying minerality in the 2007, but the sweetness of the tannin, the enormous concentration of fruit (blackberry, blueberry, cherry) intermixed with graphite, chocolate, coffee and crushed rock characteristics is striking. This is a compelling, even prodigious wine that hits all the palate’s sweet spots, possesses phenomenal upside potential, and is a mod

2007 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 97JS, 94ST, 94W&S, 92RP, 92WS) in original wood. James Suckling: "Blueberries, currants and flowers. The nose just pops out. Intense. Full body, with a round and velvety tannin structure and lots of currants, ripe strawberries. Very intense every. Black pepper at the finish. Muscular yet toned. Very structured yet balanced. This needs a minimum of four to five years of aging. Paul Draper says that perhaps this is as great as the legendary 1991. Made for aging." (05/2012)

2007 Domaine Sylvain Cathiard Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru "Aux Reignots"
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Sylvain Cathiard Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru "Aux Reignots" ((91-93RP), 91BH, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the Domaine. The Reignots had not been racked so had a slightly leesy nose, very good definition, floral with touches of peony and violets. Great purity once again. The palate still has some CO2, but appears to have great depth, very supple, lavished in new oak but in proportion to the level of fruit. Very well poised with lush red-berried fruit and a hint of coconut right on the finish. Superb. (NM)" (10/2009)

2007 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC)
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100RP, 100VN, 98WS, 96JS, 96ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As impossible as it might seem, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon takes things to another level. An exquisite, celestial bouquet melds into endless layers of fruit as this rich, voluptuous wine blossoms on the palate. Full-bodied and seductive, the 2007 conquers all of the senses with its head spinning, beautiful personality. As always, Screaming Eagle is a bit more restrained next to Napa Valley's other heavy hitters, yet the pedigree of this opulent vintage comes through in spades. A kaleidoscope of aromas and flavors flows through to the creamy, textured finish. I have tasted the 2007 several times recently and it has always been magnificent. The 2007 appears to be shutting down just a touch, but that is probably a good thing for the future. (AG)" (12/2012)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 97WE, 96W&S, 94ST, 93JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Dominus, the quintessential model of haute couture, is pure elegance exhibiting a seamless integration of wood, tannin, alcohol and acidity as well as a complex bouquet of cedar, new saddle leather, sweet kirsch, black currant and plum fruit and a notion of licorice. Both the 2007 and 2008 Dominus should drink well for 25-30 years. (RP)" (12/2010)
