2007 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Spätlese
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Spätlese (93W&S, 92WS, 91RP, 91ST). Wine & Spirits: "At this stage, this feels much more open and generous than its Sonnenuhr counterpart, showing bright, floral flavors of tangerine and white peach. Its bold, rounded depth of fruit reveals more nuance and complexity the longer this sits in the glass, and it should feel even more focused and complete in a few years, after shedding its initial puppy fat." Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the finest Private Reserves made over the last two decades, this phenomenal wine is obviously still an infant in terms of development, but it exhibits a dense purple color as well as an extraordinary nose of blackberries, white chocolate, licorice, tobacco leaf, smoky barbecue, charcoal and a burning ember-like note reminiscent of a Graves from Bordeaux. A dense, luscious, full-bodied, opulent style, with sweet tannin, this locked and loaded, intense, full throttle Private Reserve should be accessible in 5-6 years and last for 25-30. From opening scents of figs, berries and roasted coffee, on into a compact, potent midpalate that still seems quite young and fresh, this wine keeps adding layer upon layer as it breathes. Of the 2007 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2007 Bone Rock, which comes from the James Berry Vineyard (82% Syrah, 13% Mourvedre, and the rest Grenache, also aged 28 months in a combination of smaller barrels, demi-muids, and pungeons), is super as well. Like its late-released sibling, it has an inky/purple color to the rim and an extraordinary, soaring set of aromatics consisting of spring flowers, pepper, graphite, blackberry and blueberry fruit with hints of raspberry and licorice and jus de viande as well. Of the 2007 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A perfect wine, the 2007 Vecina provides a prodigious display of blackberries, charcoal, black currants, burning embers and a La Mission-Haut-Brion-like hot rock/gravelly character. The most tannic as well as most concentrated and layered of the 2007s, this is a long-term, but utterly brilliant wine. In many ways it reminds me of the Harlan Estate itself give

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Thorevilos is monumental, and stands out as one of the most singular and greatest Napa red wines I have ever tasted. An expansive fragrance of subtle barbecue smoke intermixed with graphite, blueberries, espresso, white chocolate and a liqueur of rocks soars from the glass of this full-bodied, prodigious effort. It has the texture of a skyscraper yet never becomes heavy or overbearing. This offering, which can send chills up your spine, is a candidate for one of the finest wines ever made in Napa Valley. 2007 Forman Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L) (OWC)
Bid on this 3L-bottle lot of 2007 Forman Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L) (OWC - 95RP, 92VN, 92WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate may be one of Ric Forman’s finest wines to date (keep in mind he was producing some of the great Sterling Cabernet Sauvignons of the early 1970s). The 2007 is a slightly more voluptuous, flamboyant, and exuberant version of the 2006. The color is a healthy dense purple, and the bouquet reveals plenty of creme de cassis, licorice, wood smoke, and forest floor notes, a soaring, multidimensional, velvety, full-bodied texture, and ripe tannins. The sweetness of the tannins and the wine’s lush, heady texture are reminiscent of a ripe Pomerol. It will evolve over two decades. (RP)" (12/2009)

Deep ruby/purple with crushed raspberries, violets, Chinese black tea, and chalky, almost wet stone-like notes, the wine is rich, full-bodied, multi-dimensional, with superb depth and length, and a remarkable finish. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (100RP, 98WS, 97ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Utter perfection, and one of the most profound Rhone Ranger wines I have ever tasted... As with many prodigious wines, the extraordinary freshness, purity, equilibrium, and singularity of this effort is breathtaking. Its dense purple color is accompanied by an extraordinary, incredibly pure, all enveloping, intense, sweet nose of black raspberries, kirsch, spring flowers, spice box, and pepper. Of the 2007 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Vinous writes: "Bright dark ruby. Very ripe aromas and flavors of dark berries, cocoa powder and bitter chocolate. Fine-grained and light on its feet, with the exotic oak character typical of Silver Oak nicely supported by its intense fruit. Harmonious acidity and a slightly herbal quality contribute to the suavity of this wine. Expands nicely on the back half, with the fine-grained tannins coating the palate. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese Mosel (95W&S, 93RP, 93WS, 92ST, 92WE). Wine & Spirits: "Some of Prüm's releases in this decade have been more fruit-forward and less overtly yeasty than in the past, but this wine feels like a Prüm Spätlese of old: Tightly restrained and stubbornly closed behind a wall of youthful fermentation aromas, it takes its time to reveal subtle detail and silky depth of fruit. It's infused by the haunting blue-slate character for which the vineyard is renowned, and while it undoubtedly packs more richness and ripeness than a Prüm wine of 20 years ago, it maintains a similar feeling of delicacy, purity and grace." 2007 J.F. Mugnier Musigny Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2007 J.F. Mugnier Musigny Grand Cru (93BH, 93ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, deep red. Knockout aromas and flavors of black cherry, black raspberry, crushed stone and smoky minerality. Wonderfully deep, tangy and sweet, with a captivating creamy texture making this deceptively tastable today. Impressive today for its volume, and finishes very long, broad and classically dry, with substantial fine-grained tannins. As delicious as this is right now, its overall balance suggests it will reward a decade of aging. For his part, Mugnier says that virtually every vintage of his Musigny needs ten years in the bottle. Bid on this bottle of 2007 Continuum Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 97WE, 97WS, 95VN, 94ST, 91CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A glorious blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Cabernet Franc and 18% Petit Verdot, it boasts an inky/purple color as well as an extraordinary perfume of blueberries, blackberries, spring flowers and subtle hints of burning embers and earth. Akin to the seamlessness of haute couture from the likes of Chanel, the integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood has been brilliantly accomplished by Mondavi. This textured, opulent, full-bodied wine cuts a lacy, graceful texture across the palate. A tour de force in winemaking, it is a profound wine from someone who has been front and center during the golden age of California Cabernet Sauvignon as well as the revolution in quality begun by his father. Drinkable now, drinkable in ten years and exquisite in two decades, it is not to be missed. (RP)" (12/2010)

2007 Domaine de Montille Pommard 1er Cru "Les Pezerolles"
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine de Montille Pommard 1er Cru "Les Pezerolles" ((90-93BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Outstanding* There is a persuasive, if not air tight, argument to be made that a fine Pézerolles is the most elegant of all the Pommard 1ers (yes, I acknowledge that there are at least two others one could legitimately mention) and this example will do nothing to suggest otherwise with its stunning array of red berry fruits, floral notes and mineral elements, all of which merge seamlessly into the pure, racy, detailed and linear flavors that are focused like a laser on the balanced and wonderfully persistent finish. Like the Taillepieds, this is defined by its extract of stone character and this is, along with the versions from Michel Lafarge and Joseph Voillot, reference standard juice." (04/2009)

Fleshy and round, this exhibits more tannins than the Echézeaux, yet its oak is well-absorbed. Fine length.—Non-blind 2007 DRC tasting (February 2010). Best from 2013 through 2028. (Web-2012)"

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 J.-F. Coche-Dury Meursault "Rougeots" (94ST, 92BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale, bright yellow. Full, powerful aromas of peach, orange and minerals; ripe, inviting and quintessential Meursault. Then broad and aromatic but classically dry in the middle palate, with captivating orange and tangerine fruit dominating. Opens dramatically on the back half to showcase the silkiness and gras of Meursault, but the long finish features superb grip. This was very promising from barrel, and it's even better in bottle. Very Cabernet on the nose and palate, offering complex notes of cassis, blackberry, blueberry, licorice, leather, tobacco leaf, peppery herbs and bitter tropical chocolate. A step up from the Perseid bottling in depth and texture, although this pliant, fine-grained wine is still partly hiding its inherent sweetness behind powerful stony volcanic minerality. Racy in acidity, silky in texture, yet powerful, it exudes the essence of Pinot Noir’s greatness. Shows great fruity ripeness in the cherry, Dr. Pepper cola, licorice and bacon flavors, and also a wild, forest quality of grilled mushrooms, thyme and fennel. 2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A staggering Chardonnay that’s still an infant, the light yellow/green/gold 2007 offers up notes of unbuttered popcorn, orange liqueur, lemon butter, quince and crushed rocks. It possesses terrific underlying acidity, a full-bodied mouthfeel and a youthfulness and freshness that suggest this wine has two decades of life ahead of it. This majestic Chardonnay seems more French than Californian, but again, this reflects the significance of the labor of these two overachieving, push-the-envelope visionaries. What California viticulture and high-class, minimalist winemaking can achieve is exhibited in bold fashion by this 2007. It will hit its prime in 5-7 years, and appears to be a replay of the 2002 stylistically as well as for its overall potential. 99+ points. (RP)" (06/2012)

Moreover, while not at all forward, the finish is less youthfully austere than usual with the barest hint of warmth. Lovely." (04/2009)

McClellan, who oversees this project as well as being the consultant for an up and coming small estate called Checkerboard as well as Sloan, is complemented by her husband Bob Levy, who has been at Harlan Estate from the beginning of that project in the late eighties."

2007 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 97JS, 97WE, 94ST, 92W&S, 92WS, 91CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the perfect wines from Shafer is the 2007 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select. Think it over – in the first decade of the 21st century, Shafer scored three perfect scores and two 99s – that’s about as high a praise as I can give any producer in the world. Opaque purple in color, the 2007 has a stunning nose of sweet crème de cassis, black cherries, licorice, and toasty oak, a multilayered, full-throttle personality, and a texture that builds and builds. Great purity, fabulous fruit intensity and a richness without heaviness characterize this massive, prodigious effort from Shafer. It’s still very young, despite this vintage, which seems to be maturing precociously. I don’t believe this wine will hit its stride for at least another 5-10 years and drink well for at least 2-3 decades. (RP) " (12/2014)

2007 Chalk Hill "Estate Red" Chalk Hill Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Chalk Hill "Estate Red" Chalk Hill Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 95WE, 93WS, 92CG, 92W&S, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Perhaps the finest Estate Red to date is the 2007. Its dense ruby/purple hue is followed by blackberry, cassis, cedar, and licorice characteristics, supple tannins, a more accessible personality, full body, and admirable purity, texture, and length. Drink this beauty over the next 2-3 decades. (RP)" (02/2010)
