2009 Domaine Didier Dagueneau "Pur Sang" Pouilly-Fumé
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Didier Dagueneau "Pur Sang" Pouilly-Fumé ((92-93RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Based primarily on fruit from a relatively clay-rich site in Saint Laurent, the Dagueneau 2009 Blanc Fume de Pouilly Pur Sang smells deliciously of elder flower white peach, and cassis. Vividly peachy and with rock-licking minerality, in the mouth this could be mistaken for a great Riesling. Nettle and grapefruit lend brightness in a long, luscious, vibrant finish that also incorporates rich, saline oyster liqueur and oyster meat-like elements. This is going to be both accessible and at the same time worthy of careful attention to its nuances over the coming decade or so. (DS)" (08/2010)

2009 Tablas Creek "Esprit de Beaucastel Rouge" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Tablas Creek "Esprit de Beaucastel Rouge" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (94RP, 93JS, 93ST, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I am thrilled to see the 2009 Esprit de Beaucastel burst from the glass with an exciting melange of dark red cherries, flowers, sweet herbs, mint and spices. Exotic spiced notes linger on the finish. The 2009 boasts serious intensity, richness and depth, but it remains quite tannic and in need of further bottle age. The vintage saw both frost and drought, two conditions that are a little unusual in the same year. Now that it is in bottle, the 2009 meets all of the expectations I had when I tasted it from barrel last year. The blend is 40% Mourvedre, 28% Syrah, 27% Grenache and 5% Counoise. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. (AG)" (08/2012)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Gerard Raphet Gevrey-Chambertin "Champs Chenys" Cuvée Unique Vieilles Vignes. "The wines of Gérard Raphet are a Burgundy lover’s Burgundy. While the wine’s color in the glass is a delicate ruby, aromas and flavors surprise with their forceful intensity. This contrast often catches the uninitiated off guard, yet it is part of the attraction and seduction of these limited and highly sought-after wines. Indeed of all our Burgundy partners, Raphet inspires the most emotion when trying to describe what exactly makes these wines so captivating. Raphet Burgundy surprises and delights; it opens the possibilities of what great, old-vine Burgundy can do, and just how intimate and special that experience can be. Gérard took over the domaine in 2005 with his wife Sylviane, and today, it’s their daughter Virginie who helps out in the cellar and fields. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (92ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Opaque ruby. Pungent, expressive bouquet offers dark berry compote, cola, vanilla bean and incense qualities, along with slow-building spiciness and notes of clove and mocha. Lush, palate-coating blackberry and mulberry flavors are lifted by gentle acidity and complicated by notes of spicecake and candied violet. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From an enclave just outside the cuverie in Saint Andelain, the Dagueneau 2009 Blanc Fume de Pouilly Silex delivers an almost inordinate diversity of floral, herbal, citrus (predominately grapefruit), and pit-fruit (predominately nectarine) elements, with the bitterness of fruit pits, smoky pungency of red currant and crushed stone, as well as notes of shrimp shell reduction and iodine inflecting a long, bittersweet, yet at the same time vibrant, buoyant finish. But it’s so rich in fruit, mocha and spices, so elegant, with such a delicacy despite the power, you have to admire it. " (02/2012)

2009 Etienne Sauzet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Referts"
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Etienne Sauzet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Referts" (92RP, 91BH, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Puligny Montrachet Les Referts (from 50+ year-old vines) is round, sweet and impeccably harmonious. It shows the influence of these compact soils in its plush fruit and extroverted, generous personality. I especially like the way the fruit continues to build toward the round, enveloping finish. This parcel is right next to the estate’s parcel in Perrieres, yet the wines are strikingly different owing to the greater presence of clay and the moisture-retentive soils. Anticipated maturity: 2012+. (AG)" (08/2011)

2009 Malescot-St-Exupéry, Margaux
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Malescot-St-Exupéry, Margaux (98JS, 96RP, 94WS, 91ST). James Suckling: "A wine, with intense spice and berry character, with hints of sweet tobacco. It changes all the time from flowers to fruit and wet earth. Full-bodied, with super fine tannins and ripe fruit. It's long and juicy with lovely fruit. Super long and beautiful, with fine tannins that last for minutes. Tight now, but juicy and gorgeous. Best ever from here. Try in 2020." (02/2012)

2009 Tor Kenward "To Kalon Clone 4" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Tor Kenward "To Kalon Clone 4" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94ST, 92RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep ruby-red. Captivating aromas of black raspberry, blackberry pastille and licorice. Large-scaled, soft and rich, offering compelling generosity to its sweet cassis and licorice flavors. Finishes very long and balanced, with big but sweet tannins and outstanding breadth. Note that "clone 4" is only indicated with a "4" in the upper lefthand corner of the label. (ST)" (05/2012)

2009 Ramey "Pedregal" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Ramey "Pedregal" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a site in Oakville, 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Pedregal Vineyard is another huge, intense wine that also possesses wonderful nuance and delineation, a rare attribute for such a big Cabernet. Espresso, mocha, black cherries, grilled herbs and sweet spices lead to a huge core of blue/black fruit in this brooding, full-bodied wine. There is a lot to like in the 2009 Pedregal, but I can’t imagine the wine being fully expressive until at least age ten. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2039. ...In my mind, Ramey is one of the top wineries in the United States. Readers who aren’t familiar with these wines owe it to themselves to check them out. 2009 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (98RP, 97WS, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Light gold in color, with an extraordinary nose of poached pears, citrus honey and a touch of orange rind, the 2009 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard has beautiful fruit, a full-bodied mouthfeel, penetrating acids and an underlying minerality and richness. The finish goes on for a good 40-45 seconds. This is sensational Chardonnay and very much in keeping with this vineyard. Drink now-2020. (RP)" (08/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (OWC - 97RP, 97WE, 93WS, 92ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A much more voluptuous, concentrated and obviously great Syrah, the 2009 Syrah Armada Vineyard yields lots of plum sauce, spice, licorice and crushed rock aromas and flavors to go with a full-bodied, layered, pedal-to-the-metal style. This is a great wine that will have 20-25 years of longevity. 97+ Points (JD)" (05/2015)

2009 Williams Selyem "Precious Mountain" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Williams Selyem "Precious Mountain" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (99WE, 94ST, 93JS, 91WS). Wine Enthusiast: " *Top 100 Wines of 2012* A stupendous Pinot Noir, this shows how beautifully this vineyard performs in the remote Sonoma Coast above Fort Ross. Williams Selyem’s last few vintages of Precious Mountain have been extraordinary, but this 2009 tops them all. The wine is as light as a feather in the mouth, modest in alcohol and delicately feminine, like pure satin. However, few Pinot Noirs in the world achieve this level of concentration. Notes of wild raspberries and cherries, cola, sleek minerals, dusty baking spices and smoky oak combine for flavors that are utterly delicious. After all that, it possesses an indefinable attribute of fascination. Will age well for a long time, if you can keep your hands off it. Now-2021." (02/2012)

2009 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97WE, 93WS, 91CG). Wine Enthusiast: "So delicious now, you can hardly keep your hands off it. Blackberry tart, ripe blueberry, cassis, milk chocolate, licorice and sweet, smoky cedar flavors flood the mouth, dramatically huge and memorable, and lasting long into the finish. The tannins are obvious, but sweetly ripe and soft. A brilliant evocation of Napa Cabernet, despite a high production level of nearly 30,000 cases, which is about the same size as a Bordeaux first growth. Shows the class and potency this bottling has exhibited for many years, and believe it or not, the price is a is a relative bargain these days." (03/2012)

2009 Levy & McClellan "Ampersand" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Levy & McClellan "Ampersand" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94VN). Vinous: "Levy and McClellan's 2009 Red Wine is a dark, sumptuous beauty. Mocha, espresso, black plums and menthol wrap around the palate in this rich, totally seductive wine. With some time in bottle, the 2009 is beginning to show its creamy, silky texture, while the oak is also integrating nicely. Darker notes of tar, smoke and black currants flesh out on the enveloping finish. A dollop of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot adds complexity. (Antonio Galloni)" (12/2012)

2009 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 98WE, 96WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon (98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot) is a ripe, flamboyant and brilliantly proportioned effort that oozes kirsch, licorice, lead pencil shavings and dried spice on the nose. Showing the perfume and headiness of the vintage, it nevertheless stays vibrant and lively on the palate while delivering layers of fruit and texture. While formidably structured and tannic, it can be enjoyed now due to the overall tannin quality and purity of fruit. It will evolve and drink well for over two decades. (JD)" (06/2013)
