1997 Quinta do Noval Vintage Port
Bid on this bottle of 1997 Quinta do Noval Vintage Port (96WS, 94ST, 93RP). Wine Spectator: "Juicy and fleshy in feel, with rather youthful notes of plum, blackberry and boysenberry compote pumping out from the core, backed by sweet black licorice and warm fruitcake flavors. Tempting now for the abundance of fruit, but there's a ton of brambly energy through the finish, so this isn't going anywhere anytime soon. (JM, Web-2017)"

Jacques Selosse "Le Bout du Clos Ambonnay" Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut Champagne
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of Jacques Selosse "Le Bout du Clos Ambonnay" Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut Champagne (96RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The NV Extra-Brut Grand Cru Le Bout du Clos is all about power, depth and pure structure. The weight and gravitas of Ambonnay comes through beautifully in this intense, layered Champagne. Hard candy, wild flowers, mint and spice are some of the many notes that take shape in the glass. The current release is a blend of vintages 2004 and 2005, two years that are very much complimentary in nature. I drank several bottles of the Bout du Clos during a recent trip in Italy, and was never let down. This is a gorgeous showing. Today the Bout du Clos has an implosive, huge minerality that keeps the wine from being fully expressive, but in another few years, the wine should start to be even better than it is today. Disgorgement date: April 13, 2012. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020. (AG)" (10/2012)

1991 Quintarelli Amarone della Valpolicella Classico
Bid on this bottle of 1991 Quintarelli Amarone della Valpolicella Classico (92WS). Wine Spectator: "Here's an example of why Amarone is unique in the world of wine. A beauty, from the deep, espressolike color and smoky, exotic aromas to the overripe berry and botrytis flavors. Glycerinlike in texture, yet muscular and high in alcohol, with a lingering finish. 2003 Graham's Vintage Port
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Graham's Vintage Port (96W&S, 96WE, 95RP, 95ST, 94WS). Wine Enthusiast: " *Best of 2005* This is a great Port, from a great brand. It is packed with solid, structured, rich and intense black fruit flavors. Its tannins show considerable aging potential. It is a big, ripe wine, balanced by a long, lingering dark aftertaste. 1960 Barbeito Boal Madeira
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1960 Barbeito Boal Madeira . Barbeito has an impressive collection of old, vintage Madeiras, that is swiftly diminishing as these wines gain greater popularity and acclaim. Boal is a medium-sweet grape that also shows incredible acidity and minerality. As with any vintage Madeira, particularly those made by master blender Ricardo Freitas, the acidity here is a defining feature and gives the wine--despite its richness and sweetness--remarkable complexity and staying power. At over 55-years old (with much of this time spent in a wood barrel), this wine is a true treat. You can have vintage Madeira open for many months, even years, without much noticeable degradation in quality. Also, please note that these wines love air, and will greatly reward decanting prior to service.

1998 Taittinger "Comtes de Champagne" Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 1998 Taittinger "Comtes de Champagne" Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne (94WE). Wine Enthusiast: "A delicious, welcoming, generous wine that also manages to keep the pure, mineral character of Chardonnay. It has a very direct, linear, steely taste. Great acidity plays a part, as do ripe, fruity flavors and fine balance. This wine should develop well, but it’s delicious now." (11/1/2006)

2005&2006 Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Superiore Vertical
Bid on this 3-bottle 2005&2006 Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Superiore Vertical, including 2-bottles of 2005 Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Superiore (95RP) and 1-bottle of 2006 Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Superiore (92WE, 91RP, 91WS). Of the 2005 Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Superiore,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Dal Forno should really change the name of his 2005 Valpolicella Superiore. It is really an Amarone for all practical intents and purposes, as it is made entirely from fruit that has been dried, albeit for less time than that legally required for Amarone. Firm, sturdy tannins frame blackberries, blueberries, violets and new leather in the 2005 Valpolicella. This is an especially structured, shut-down wine, even within the context of Dal Forno. The wine’s gorgeous inner perfume and sheer depth suggest that all that is required is patience. With time in the glass the tannins soften just enough to get a glimpse of what is in store for those who can wait a few years.
