2009 Anderson's Conn Valley "Estate Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Anderson's Conn Valley "Estate Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Reserve is rich, sumptuous and totally gorgeous. Plums, black currants, blackberries, menthol, licorice and sweet herbs jump from the glass as this intense, full-bodied wine shows off its considerable personality. Layers of fruit flow effortlessly as the 2009 continues to open up over time. This is a gorgeous 2009. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029. 96+ Points (AG)" (12/2012)

2013 Domaine Jean-Marc Morey Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Domaine Jean-Marc Morey Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (93BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "The fresh and admirably dense nose is inexpressive to the point of being almost mute and only aggressive swirling succeeds in liberating glimpses of the acacia blossom, white and yellow orchard fruit and softly oaky aromas. There is excellent density, power and punch to the broad-shouldered flavors that exhibit an exquisitely balanced, long and wonderfully complex finish. This is terrific and possesses excellent development potential though note well that plenty of time will be required before this is completely ready for prime time." (06/2015)

2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L)
Bid on this 3L-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L) (96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " ... Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. It is so good now, why wait? However, I’m sure that like most vintages of Caymus, it will last for 20-25 years. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)

1986 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1986 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (100JS, 100RP, 99VN, 99WS, 98ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-black colour. An incredible array of aromas on the nose: blackberry, black cherry, tobacco, espresso, leather, black olive and loam. The palate is absolutely seamless from first impression to finish, effortlessly building layers of complexity in the mouth and leading to a very long, earth and spice finish. I can’t see how this could possibly be improvement so have no alternative but concede perfection. Drink now to 2045+. Tasted March 2009. (LPB)" (05/2009)

2012 Gaja Ca'Marcanda "Magari" Toscana
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Gaja Ca'Marcanda "Magari" Toscana (94RP, 93JS, 92WS, 91VN, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Upped to a Bolgheri status (previously this wine was identified as a Toscana IGT), the 2012 Bolgheri Magari is simply delightful. This vintage shows extra heft and dimension that allows the wine to spread smoothly over the palate. Merlot is blended with Cabernets Franc and Sauvignon, and the taste profile in the 2012 vintage definitely favors the Merlot component. Soft cherry and dark berry segue to spice and moist tobacco. The structure of the two Cabernet varieties shows in the mouth where the wine is elegant and tight. It needs more time for bottle evolution. (ML)" (10/2014)

1998 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1998 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP, 91ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard was bottled earlier than usual as this vintage is not as massive or concentrated as its predecessors. To my palate, the 1998 is good, although I am not convinced it will be long lived. There are 2,300 cases of this 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit-Verdot, and 3% Cabernet Franc blend. It is supple and elegant, with a complex, evolved bouquet of smoke, black currants, spice box, and cedar. In the mouth, the wine is forward with sweet tannin, gorgeously rich, concentrated fruit, and impressively integrated acidity and tannin. Drink this alluring charmer now and over the next 12-15 years. (RP)" (12/2000)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A beautiful wine from Beau-Séjour Bécot, the color of the 2005 is an opaque purple and the wine is loaded with notes of cedar wood, Asian spice, blackberry and cassis fruit. Full-bodied and tannic, but broad, huge, and massive, this wine is still an infant and needs another 7-10 years of cellaring. This is a 40- to 50-year wine from the Bécot family. 94+ points. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2001 Spottswoode "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94WE, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is a beautiful wine, although more recent vintages may ultimately prove to be even better, particularly the 2007. This blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, from one of Napa’s prestigious sites on the valley floor tucked behind the town of St. Helena, has a dense blue/purple color and a beautifully sweet nose of spring flowers intermixed with raspberry jam, blueberries and black currants. Some licorice and subtle oak are followed by a quintessentially elegant yet substantial wine with sweet tannins, medium to full body and a seamless texture. Drinkable already, the wine will continue to offer the more elegant, complex, evolved style of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon produced in 2001 for at least another 15-20 years. (RP)" (06/2011)

Of the 2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Santa Rita Hills Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A wine that needs to be forgotten in the cellar for 5-6 years, the 2011 Syrah Patine checks in as a blend of roughly 97% Syrah and the balance Roussanne and Viognier. It too comes all from the estate's Eleven Confessions Vineyard and saw 39 months in 63% new French oak. Backward, tight, concentrated and structured, with full-bodied richness and depth, it gives up Guigal La Landonne like aromas and flavors of graphite, sweet oak, smoked meats, pepper and black raspberry and cassis-like fruit. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Louis Carillon Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru (94BH, 92ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "As would be reasonably expected, the Bienvenues possesses a distinctly more elegant if presently highly restrained nose of airy notes of honeysuckle, subtle spice, lemon peel and cool green fruit that is in keeping with the refined, pure, dry and strikingly precise medium-full flavors that coat, and stain, the palate with ample dry extract and outstanding length on the citrusy finish. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Comte Armand Pommard 1er Cru "Clos des Epeneaux" (95BH, 95RP, 94ST, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Pommard Clos des Epeneaux could be Leroux’s finest so far. It has a convincing, elegant bouquet that at this early juncture bears semblances to the 2008, but ramps up the intensity without compensating on delineation, with subtle notes of spice and balsam coming through. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet, candied entry. This is very pure, soft and caressing in the mouth but around the sides you can feel the tannins gently exerting their grip. There is not a hair out of place on this glorious, shimmering Clos des Epeneaux. Magnifique! Drink 2015-2025+ (NM)" (08/2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even better, and topping out on my scale, the 2003 Ermitage le Pavillon comes all from the granite soils of the Les Bessards lieu-dit and was aged 100% in new barrels. Its inky ruby/black color is followed by off the hook aromas and flavors of plum, creme de cassis, licorice, crushed rocks and violet/incense-like qualities. This gives way to a full-bodied, dense, seamless and textured 2003 that has building tannin, awesome concentration and a blockbuster finish. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2013 Domaine Bertheau Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Charmes" (91BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A strikingly elegant if more restrained and more complex nose is comprised of airy and cool red and blue pinot fruit, spice and floral elements. There is a really lovely texture to the mouth coating and utterly delicious medium weight flavors that exude a fine bead of minerality on the bright, clean and distinctly saline-inflected finish. The intense flavors however are big, rich and sleekly muscled with a reserve of power that is impressive, underpinned by suave and dusty tannins that coat the mouth. There is outstanding intensity, richness and concentration to the big-bodied mineral-driven flavors that also display an abundance of palate coating dry extract on the tremendously long finish. Somewhat unusually, this is also quite finely detailed and while this is openly powerful, it's not at all rustic or tough though it is exceptionally tight and backward at present on the impeccably well-balanced finish. This blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 9% Petit Verdot shows notes of burning embers/charcoal, blackberry fruit, licorice and floral notes, followed by a full-bodied, dense, layered wine. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1998 Domaine Michel Lafarge Volnay 1er Cru "Clos du Chateau des Ducs" (91BH, 91ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright deep ruby-red. Very pure aromas of cherry, raspberry, licorice and flowers. Sharply defined and high-pitched on the palate, with pure, expressive red fruit flavors. Still rather tightly wound, owing to firm but ripe acidity. Finishes with ripe, fine tannins and lovely subtle persistence. Very elegant and distinctive Volnay. 91+ (ST)" (03/2001)

2007 Etienne Sauzet Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2007 Etienne Sauzet Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru (1.5L) (96BH, 96RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From right up against the rocks (just below the En Richard parcel that helps inform his Folatieres), Boudot’s 2007 Chevalier-Montrachet smells pungently and sweetly of lavender, buddleia, heliotrope, and citrus zest. Silken-textured and refined in texture yet positively gripping in its sense of implacable, enervative, vibratory persistence of chalk, citrus oils, white pepper, and herbal-floral concentrates, this superb representation of some of wine’s finest acreage should be worth following for a decade or more, but is another Sauzet 2007 not to be missed young. In Boudot’s view, it’s typical for Chevalier to deliver “the most immediate pleasure” of the Montrachet grand crus. Here you get surfeit of energy and near-indelible pungency as well as of uncannily seductive liquid flowers, yet with lift and supreme elegance. (DS)" (12/2009)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aubert's 2011 Pinot Noir UV-SL Vineyard is easily the most refined of the wines in this range of Pinots. Intensely perfumed and layered -- but not at all heavy -- the UV-SL has all its elements in perfect balance. Savory herbs, licorice, mint, plums and black cherries all come to life in the glass, but ultimately, the 2011 stands out most for its silkiness, grace and exceptional overall balance. Expressive floral notes add considerable freshness on the close. (AG)" (04/2013)

Of the 2012 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "There are 1,580 cases of the 2012 James Berry Vineyard and it reminds me of the 2009 Janasse Chaupin (which is one of Justin’s favorite wines). Incorporating more Mourvedre than normal, it’s made from 43% Grenache, 29% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah and 10% Counoise that’s aged in a combination of concrete and barrel. Firm-edged, intense flavors of citrus fruits, stone and minerals, perfectly framed by brisk acidity. Complicated by a flinty quality. This has density and persistence. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Ramonet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Champs Canet" (90BH, 90ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " A gentle touch of wood frames floral and very ripe orchard fruit aromas that include peach and apricot where these fruit characters continue onto the rich, full and notably sweet flavors that are nicely complex and deliver real breadth on the long finish where the wood resurfaces. This is surprisingly forward by the standards of this wine and already accessible." (Oct 01, 2007) 90 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale straw. 1999 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (93RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep plum, currant, and mineral notes emerge from the concentrated, beautifully balanced, pure 1999 Haut Brion. It seems to be cut from the same mold as years such as 1979 and 1985. There is a hint of graphite in the abundant fruit. The wine is medium to full-bodied, nuanced, subtle, deep, and provocatively elegant. It is made in a style that only Haut Brion appears capable of achieving. The finish is extremely long, the tannins sweet, and the overall impression one of delicacy interwoven with power and ripeness. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2025. (RP)" (04/2002)

Large-scaled, tactile and quite powerful, with captivating, utterly pure flavors of pineapple, wet stone and minerals. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Henri Boillot Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru ((93-96VN), 95BH, 94RP). Vinous: "Pale yellow. Musky, reduced nose suggests a tannic wine, offering hints of flint and petrol. Then superconcentrated and tactile but bone-dry, conveying a powerful impression of dry extract. Boasts terrific inner-mouth energy but this wine is very tightly coiled today, with its fruit totally hidden. The very long, slowly building finish is lifted by a spicy perfume. Bid on this 1.5 liter 1-bottle lot of 2013 Cayuse "Wallah Wallah Special #5" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (1.5L) (96RP, 93VN, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most complete, layered and elegant 2013s from Cayuse is the 2013 Syrah Walla Walla Special #5, which is made from two separate parcels that remind Christophe of the northern Rhone’s Jamet brother’s Cote Rotie. He also keeps the price low as a thank you to his customers. Giving up classic cool climate notes of green olives, black cherries, scorched earth, ash and ripe herbs, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, no hard edges, incredibly fine tannin and a finish that just keeps going. It offers up plenty of classic Quilceda character with notions of blackberry liqueur, toasted spice, graphite and licorice as well as full-bodied richness and depth on the palate. Frankly, I don’t know how elixirs such as this can be made, but they demand unreal patience as well as meticulous attention to detail in both the vineyard and the winery.
