(07/2013) He's also said, "The ever reliable Tom Dehlinger continues to turn out some of the most fairly priced wine in all of California." 2008 Rochioli "Estate" Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Rochioli "Estate" Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc (91ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Light, bright yellow. Strikingly fresh citrus and green apple aromas display impressive purity and a strong mineral quality. Lively lime and lemongrass flavors deliver solid punch but carry no fat. Exotic floral and pungent herbal notes build on the long, incisive finish, which strongly echoes the lemongrass quality. This was bottled at the end of January, said Rochioli, 'because four months is really all it needs and I want the fruit to be as fresh as possible.' Most of these vines were planted in 1959. 2009 Flowers "Sea View Ridge" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Flowers "Sea View Ridge" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94W&S, 91WS). Wine & Spirits: "Selected from Flowers's most recent planting, 43 acres rising from 1,400 to 1,875 feet above the Pacific, with views of the fog and the ocean below. The best wines from this vineyard have shown glimmers of grand cru sophistication and this 2009 develops in a way that parallels a great Burgundy. It starts off meaty, seemingly simple in its directness, until it begins to deepen, the tannins going through an adolescent moment with a character like spiced tea and cheese rind. By the next day, those tannins have turned toward a ferrous minerality and the wine is racy, dense, floral, as red as persimmon, powerful in an oceanic sense. If you don't believe there is terroir character in California pinot noir, spend some time at this vineyard, then go home and taste this wine." (10/2011)

2009 Dehlinger "Estate" Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Dehlinger "Estate" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (91CG, 91RP, 91ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Chardonnay Estate emerges from the glass with lemon, citrus, white flowers and spices. This mid-weight, gracious wine impresses for its balance, energy and understated personality. I loved it. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2019. I tasted a large number of wines with Tom and Eva Dehlinger, including several older wines, all of which have held up beautifully. These remain some of the most fairly priced wines in California. 2006 d'Arenberg "The Dead Arm" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia
Bid on this bottle of 2006 d'Arenberg "The Dead Arm" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia (95JH, 95RP, 93ST, 91WS, 90WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "D’Arenberg’s flagship is the 2006 The Dead Arm Shiraz. Opaque purple-colored, the nose is reticent but gives up aromas of meat, bacon, game, truffles, blueberry, and blackberry. Firm, layered, and complex, this beautifully rendered Shiraz demands a decade of cellaring. (JM)" (02/2009)

1995 Climens, Barsac
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Climens, Barsac (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at Chateau Climens. The 1995 Climens has a butterscotch, dried pineapple, kumquat and wax-resin bouquet that is well defined and now fully open for business. The palate is spicy on the entry, chamomile, cinnamon and brown spices, just a touch of dryness on the finish. But there is great depth here with a long barley sugar and spice finish. This is a fabulous Château Climens that is just beginning to enter its stride. Drink now-2035+ Tasted April 2009. (NM)" (06/2015)

2010 Argiano Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Argiano Brunello di Montalcino (98JS, 95IWR, 95RP, 94VN, 92WE). James Suckling: "An unforgiving and powerfully structured wine with fabulous grilled meat and granite stone character with dried berry and flower petal. Full body, chewy and intense. Great structure and extremely long and intense. Sexy austerity. Gets the juices going. Best ever from here. Reminds me of the great Argianos of the 1970s but now! Better in 2017 or 2018. 2007 Ridge Vineyards "Geyserville" Sonoma County Zinfandel (375ml)
Bid on this 4-half-bottle lot of 2007 Ridge Vineyards "Geyserville" Sonoma County Zinfandel (375ml) (93VN, 91CG, 91RP, 91WS). Vinous: "The 2007 Zinfandel Geyserville shows just how compelling the wines from this site can be with a little time in bottle. Just starting to show the first signs of aromatic complexity, otherwise the 2007 shows very few signs of its age. The raciness of the fruit suggests a riper year, yet the wine is quite youthful. Ripe, creamy and generous, yet medium-bodied and refined on the palate, the 2007 is inviting from the very first taste. It should drink well for the next decade or so. There is no way I would have guessed this wine's age had I tasted it blind. The sweet red cherry and pomegranate flavors are striking. (AG)" (07/2016)

2010 Carlisle "Three Birds" Sonoma County Rhone Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Carlisle "Three Birds" Sonoma County Rhone Blend. Robert Parker writes: "One of California's most compelling success stories is Mike Officer's conversion from full-time software developer to full-time guardian of old vine Zinfandel vineyards and world-class producer of artisinal wines. Carlisle is a hugely successful winery, not only because of outstanding customer service, but because of the simple fact that it delivers great wines at extremely fair prices."

2011 Williams Selyem "Terra de Promissio" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Williams Selyem "Terra de Promissio" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (96WE, 91ST, 90W&S). Wine Enthusiast: "A new bottling from the winery. The vineyard is in the Petaluma Gap, a cool area south of the Russian River Valley, toward San Francisco. The vintage was cool, too, so the wine is brisk in acidity and low in alcohol, but it still tastes amazingly ripe and complex. The wine dazzles with waves of black raspberry jam, sweet olive tapenade, sautéed brown mushroom, root beer, moo-shu plum sauce and mocha. If those flavors sound like they don’t go together, just try the wine. It’s seamless and compelling. Drink now–2020. " (07/2013)

Wine Spectator: "Intense and full-bodied, with creamy oak, dark berry, cedar and spice flavors, this is a powerful expression of Pinot Noir. Best served by cellar time, this will only gain and hold from here. Not shy on tannins. (JL)" (09/2013)
