2003 Copain "l'Esprit De James Atwood" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Copain "l'Esprit De James Atwood" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (91ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium red. Strawberry and raspberry aromas show a peppery lift and a suggestion of nutty oak. Juicy, spicy, firm and clean, with pungent red berry, herbal, spice and peppery notes. Finishes spicy and persistent. These vines, planted on soil low in vigor, possess minimal foliage, according to Guthrie, who vinified with about 50% whole clusters and aged the wine in all new barrels. He bottled it late, in early 2005. A very reasonable 13.4% alcohol with a pH of 3.45. " (05/2006)

2005 Carlisle "Tom Feeney Ranch" Russian River Valley Zinfandel
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Carlisle "Tom Feeney Ranch" Russian River Valley Zinfandel ((90-93RP), 91WS, 90CG, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " The 2005 Zinfandel Tom Feeney Ranch, which is 89% Zinfandel and 11% mixed blacks (Alicante and Petite Sirah) tips the scales at a whopping 15.9% alcohol, so Mike Officer must have picked unbelievably late in this cool year to get that kind of maturity. The wine displays some black raspberry and cherry with some underlying soil notes as well as hints of white chocolate, pepper, and spice. It is not as powerful as the Bacchi, but it is a top-flight Zinfandel. (RP)" (12/2007)

Dry, silky and pure in red cherry, raspberry, red currant and cola flavors, it was aged 16 months in 100% new French oak barrels, which give an appropriate measure of smoky caramel. 2004 Goldeneye "The Narrows" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Goldeneye "The Narrows" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (96WE, 93WS, 92W&S, 90RP). Wine Enthusiast: "This luscious Pinot shows the appellation’s ability to perfectly ripen the fruit while maintaining complete balance. The flavors are of cherries, raspberries, currants and cola, with nuances of licorice and gingerbread, yet for all that the finish is totally dry. So powerful is the wine in itself that it easily shoulders the 100% new French oak, which pushes the richness into a smoky, ne plus ultra territory. As for the mouthfeel, it’s silky, racy, voluptuous and delicate at the same time, the hallmarks of the very finest California Pinot Noirs." (12/2007)

1998 Woodward Canyon Columbia Valley Merlot
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1998 Woodward Canyon Columbia Valley Merlot. This 1998 Columbia Valley merlot was produced from grapes grown by Conner Lee and Hedges vineyards located near the Columbia River in eastern Washington and Pepper Bridge vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley. The 1998 vintage was a winemaker's dream vintage. Fruit from every vineyard was left to hang in search of ever more profound maturity and physiological ripeness. the result was beautifully ripe merlot fruit with lower acid, higher pH and an average brix of 23.8. Vanilla spice from new barrels blends beautifully with concentrated merlot fruit yielding a complex, generous red wine that is drinkable now. With proper storage, this wine should be enjoyable for ten years or more.
