2012 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another classic Cabernet Sauvignon from the Golitzin's, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine Vineyard comes from the dry, windswept Red Mountain AVA and is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. It's a big, structured effort that offers lots of minerality and dusty earth in its blackcurrants, black cherry liqueur, smoked earth, licorice and charred-meat-driven bouquet. Firm, focused and tight, this has closed down substantially since I tasted it from barrel, yet has serious concentration, lots of tannin and a great finish. It needs 4-5 years to integrate all its components, and should evolve gracefully through 2035. (JD)" (06/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Colgin "IX Estate" Napa Valley Syrah (95WS, 94VN, 93RP, 93WE). Wine Spectator: " An amazing Syrah, vivid, juicy and concentrated, with blackberry and wild berry fruit providing the centerpiece to this complex, full-bodied beauty, which reveals hints of mineral, spice and pebble as it unfolds, ending with firm, chunky fruit flavors. Best from 2010 through 2018. (JL)" (02/2009)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru Bougros "Côte Bouguerots" (94BH, 94ST, 92WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Green-tinged yellow. Steely aromas of lime, ginger, crushed stone and menthol. Densely packed, rocky and closed but not at all hard, with a tactile, saline texture and impressive volume for the year. This spicy, stony grand cru really spreads out to saturate the palate on the back end. " (07/2009)

2012 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (OCB)
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (OCB - 96RP, 95WE, 94VN, 93WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another longer-term prospect is the 2012 Syrah Armada Vineyard. One of the more burly, structured releases from this estate, it's always poured after the Bionic Frog and is the last Syrah we taste in a vintage. The 2012 gives up lots of iodine, raw meats and floral notes that are balanced by a core of distinct black raspberry fruit, which in most vintages veers more toward the darker, more plummy side of the spectrum. Full-bodied, tight and yet nicely concentrated, with good tannin, it should be at its best from 2018-2028. (JD)" (06/2015)

2010 Frederic Magnien Vosne Romanee "Aux Champs Perdrix"
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Frederic Magnien Vosne Romanee "Aux Champs Perdrix" ((89-92ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(from a high-altitude vineyard located above La Tache and La Grande Rue): Dark red with a ruby tinge. High-pitched aromas of black raspberry, cherry, violet and rose. At once creamy and sappy, with noteworthy savory energy and an utterly seamless texture. The long, slowly building finish features ripe tannins and lingering sweetness. I would not be surprised if this wine ultimately merited a score at the top end of my projected range. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Michel Lafarge Volnay 1er Cru "Clos des Chenes" (94BH, 93RP, 93ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This too serves up a remarkably layered if extremely reserved nose that displays plenty of earth and spice as well as very fresh and cool aromas of red and blue pinot, floral notes and an obvious mineral influence that continues onto the tautly muscular and overtly powerful big-bodied flavors that are long, serious and focused on the presently austere finish. It's interesting to compare the quality of the tannins between this and the Caillerets - here they are denser but less fine and as a consequence, this will need a few extra years of cellar time. *Outstanding*" (05/2011)

2006 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (95VN, 94RP, 93JS). Vinous: "A dark, brooding beauty, the 2006 Monte Bello is still very, very young. The aromatics alone are enticing, but the tannins still need time to soften. The 2006 is a masculine, vertical Monte Bello that demands cellaring. Even so, it is pretty impressive today. Scents of lavender, sage, mint and savory herbs add closing flourishes. The perfumed sweetness of the fruit (one of the hallmarks of the very late harvest) remains one of the signatures of the 2006. The 2006 can be enjoyed today or cellared for another 25+ years. (AG) 95+" (07/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine J-F Mugnier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Fuées" (93JG, 92BH, 91RP, 91ST). John Gilman: "The 2008 les Fuées is a very, very classic example as well of this fine premier cru, with the red fruity side of the vintage perfectly positioned to bring out the best of this wine. The stunningly beautiful and sappy nose soars from the glass in a blaze of cherries, blood orange, chalky soil tones, gentle notes of smoke, roses and mustard seed. On the palate the wine is deep, fullish, pure and very refined, with great intensity, laser-like focus, excellent mid-palate depth and very suave tannins on the tangy and nicely reserved finish. A great bottle of les Fuées in the making." (02/2011)

Bid on this magnum lot of 2009 Haut-Bailly, Pessac-Léognan (1.5L) (OWC - 100RP, 97JS, 95WE, 94ST, 94WS) in original wood case. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "... The 2009, which has an opaque ruby/purple color, an extraordinary nose of high-quality unsmoked cigar tobacco, graphite, blackcurrants and spice, hits the palate with a medium to full-bodied, saturated and rich mouthfeel, but an elegant and ethereal quality that is difficult to articulate. It is rich, complex and tastes as if it were the vinous equivalent of a remarkable haute couture creation from the late Coco Chanel. It is full-bodied yet elegant, powerful yet delicate, and remarkably velvety-textured, sumptuous and loaded with upside potential ... Kudos to Haut-Bailly! (RP)" (04/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Next of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard No. 7" Central Coast Red Blend (99RR, 99VN, 97RP). Vinous: "The 2013 Next of Kyn - No. 7 Cumulus Vineyard is a real stunner. Rich, explosive and overwhelmingly beautiful, it takes hold of all the senses and never lets go. Even with all of its power and richness, the 2013 retains striking aromatic lift and energy. I would give it another few years to settle down, but it is superb today. This is an extraordinary wine by any measure. Don't miss it. In 2013, the blend is 45% Syrah, 29% Grenache, 15% Petite Sirah, 5% Mourvèdre, 4.5% Touriga Nacional and 1.5% Roussanne, done with 58% whole clusters and aged for 30 months in French oak. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by beautiful aromas of blueberries, black currants, acacia flowers, licorice, and spice. The tannins are softer than I remember, but this is certainly one of the vintage’s most extraordinary wines. Full-bodied with a seamless integration of tannin, acidity, alcohol, and wood, it is exceptionally pure and full as well as impeccably balanced. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (99RP, 98WS, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Bone Rock, which comes from the James Berry Vineyard (82% Syrah, 13% Mourvedre, and the rest Grenache, also aged 28 months in a combination of smaller barrels, demi-muids, and pungeons), is super as well. Like its late-released sibling, it has an inky/purple color to the rim and an extraordinary, soaring set of aromatics consisting of spring flowers, pepper, graphite, blackberry and blueberry fruit with hints of raspberry and licorice and jus de viande as well. The extraordinary freshness and elegance of this wine leads to a minerality that even eclipses the Heart Stone. The finish goes on for a good 45+ seconds, and the purity is awesome. This extraordinary wine completes the 2007 portfolio of unbelievable efforts from the Smiths. (RP)" (08/2010)

It reveals striking inner perfume, fabulous mid-palate density and terrific overall balance. Hints of licorice and mint add depth to the delicate finish. The main clones in the Rosella’s are Pisoni, Pommard 4 and 777. Roar gave the Rosella’s 65% new oak. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2019. " (08/2011)

Of the 2009 Caymus Napa Valley Zinfandel,Caymus Vineyards has produced a Zinfandel since 1975, but their tête de cuvée, the Special Selection Cabernet, tends to get all the glory. We're here to change that! Their "second" varietal comes with a great pedigree and is worthy of its own accolades. Bid on this bottle of 2010 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (100JS, 100RP, 98WE, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An absolutely amazing wine... It comes from one of the few biodynamic vineyards in Bordeaux, but you are likely to see many more, given the success that Tesseron seems to be having at all levels, both in his vineyards and in his fermentation/winemaking. An astounding, compelling wine with the classic Pauillac nose more often associated with its cross-street neighbor, Mouton-Rothschild, creme de cassis, there are also some violets and other assorted floral notes. The wine has off-the-charts massiveness and intensity but never comes across as heavy, overbearing or astringent. The wine is approachable now, but will easily last for up to a decade. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Santenay Clos Tavennes showed no ill effects of having been hailed on this year, and the minuscule crop indeed was surely a factor influencing the wine’s impressive concentration. Smoky, gamey notes mingled with lightly cooked mulberry, plum and blackberry characterize the nose. A deep richness of black fruits and roasted meat flavors fill the mouth and there is a lot more glycerin and weight than in the Gravieres, as well as an invigorating fruit skin tartness and an expansive, staining finish of black fruits, brown spices, nut oils, raw meat and chalk. 2001 Vérité "La Muse" Sonoma County Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Vérité "La Muse" Sonoma County Bordeaux Blend (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "2001 was the first truly great vintage for Jess Jackson and Pierre Seillan, and that is evidenced by the utterly perfect 2001 La Muse, a blend of 87% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Malbec. Over three-fourths of it came from the Alexander Mountain estate of Jess Jackson, and the rest from Chalk Hill, Knights Valley, and a tiny bit from Bennett Valley. This dense purple-colored effort exhibits notes of licorice, creme de cassis, plum sauce, violets and truffles. Full-bodied with magnificent density, overall equilibrium, stunning purity, sweet but abundant tannin and a fabulous finish, this profound wine remains a baby at age ten. Give it another 5-6 years of bottle age and drink it over the following 35-40+ years. It is very French in style even though one could argue that this level of concentration can only be achieved by a handful of wines from Pomerol and St.-Emilion.

The flavors are very fresh, detailed and powerful and the hallmark minerality resurfaces on the focused and beautifully long finish. Of the 2005 Domaine Lucien Muzard Santenay "Champs Claude",Allen Meadows writes writes: "(from a parcel of 70 year old vines abutting Chassagne). As one would expect, this is more aromatically complex if not more elegant with red and black pinot fruit nuanced with plenty of earth and hints of animale undertones that can also be found on the round, concentrated and relatively big flavors that are very Santenay in style and character with firm but not aggressive supporting structure." (Burghound, 04/07) You can really see the positive effect of the new sorting table at this domaine. This is deep, with real old-vine character. Located, as it is, next to Chassagne Montrachet, it has an earthiness that is very distinctive. (Keith

2014 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2014 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Celia Welch has hit a home run again with the legendary J.J. Cohn Vineyard in Rutherford, a site that includes a block of old vines planted in 1945, which certainly must make them some of the oldest Cabernet vines in all of Napa Valley. There are 2,000 cases of the 2014 Monsieur Etain, which is a great enough Cabernet by itself. Wonderfully pure crème de cassis notes with some white flowers, lead pencil shavings and incense are followed by a deep, full-bodied wine with silky tannins, a layered, multi-dimensional mouthfeel and a beautiful finish of 40+ seconds. This is an exquisite, dense, rich but sexy Cabernet Sauvignon. And now for the good news -- there are 2,000 cases of it. Drink it over the next 20 or more years. (RP)" (12/2016)

Of the 2005 Nicolas Rossignol Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru "Fourneaux",Wine Spectator writes: "Needs air to exhibit blackberry and cherry aromas and flavors. Knockout nose offers pure botrytis aromas of orange oil, apricot, clove, marzipan, chocolate and mocha. Extraordinarily thick and honeyed but with bracing acids leavening the flavors of marzipan, coconut, brown sugar and orange rind. Higher-toned than the gewurztraminer, with a spirity suggestion of Gran Marnier. Krankl was about to bottle this. I have rarely tasted such thoroughly botrytized Chardonnay. (ST)" (07/2005)

2005 Vincent Girardin Tasting Lot
Bid on this 6-bottle 2005 Vincent Girardin Tasting Lot, including 2-bottles of 2005 Vincent Girardin Santenay 1er Cru "Gravieres" Vieilles Vignes, 2-bottles of 2005 Vincent Girardin Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru "Les Vergelesses", and 2-bottles of 2005 Vincent Girardin Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er cru “Serpentières”. Of the 2005 Vincent Girardin Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru "Les Vergelesses",This is smokey on the palate, with rich black fruit and a prominent thread of minerality at its core. This is no surprise, since this vineyard, on the border with Pernand is known for its shallow topsoils and limestone subsoil. It is muscular and masculine. Drinking now, with decanting, but a terrific cellar candidate. (Keith Wollenberg, K&L Burgundy Buyer, 05/10)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Simon Bize et Fils Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru "Aux Guettes" (92BH, 92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a site immediately above the town of Savigny, the 2005 Savigny-les-Beaune Aux Guettes displays aromas of blackberry, wood smoke, and toasted walnut. In the mouth, this offers diverse black fruits, fruit pits, toasted nuts, meat stock concentration and stony minerality in a dense, sappy matrix vigorous in its complex interplay of flavors and finishing intensity. It is one of those 2005s that may be more impressive than fun to drink in its youth, but reveals enough deep, dark, complexity to convince one that it is deserving of a place in the cellar for ten or more years. 2014 Bevan Cellars "Tin Box" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2014 Bevan Cellars "Tin Box" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Tin Box was 147 cases, aged in three-fourth Taransaud and one-fourth Darnajou barrels. It is a deep, powerful, almost primordial wine, very much in the Bevan style, but with sweet, velevty tannin, gorgeous blue and blackberry fruit, a touch of creosote and camphor. An almost Graves-like scorched-earth is present in this deep, full-throttle, amazingly savory and concentrated , balls-to-the wall Cabernet. Drink it over the next 20+ years. (RP)" (10/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Ovid Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend ((93-96ST), 95VN, 94RP, 93WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright medium ruby. Electric aromas of black cherry, blackberry, licorice and crushed rock. Very tight and youthfully imploded, with strong acidity hiding the wine's outstanding underlying density and sweetness today. All black fruits and minerals. Most impressive today on the precise, slowly mounting finish, which features tannins that are at once silky and masculine. A great 2012 in the making. (ST)" (03/2014)

2005 Nicolas Potel Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Aux Echanges"
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Nicolas Potel Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Aux Echanges" (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the 2.3 acre premier cru portion of an obscure and relatively low-elevation site that is the monopole of an investment consortium, Potel’s 2005 Chambolle-Musigny Aux Echanges is one of the few Potel wines that endured a protracted malo, finishing only in December after being transferred to tank. Aromas and flavors of salted cassis and blackberry, wood smoke, tea, narcissus, smoked meat and soy make a highly-concentrated and complex impression. The long finish here is dark and brooding in a vintage-typical way, meaty, smoky and black-fruited. This wine temporarily betrays its recent bottling following such a late malo. 91+ points. Shows the most beautiful black currant, cedar, blueberry pie and Asian spice flavors. What makes the structure so gorgeous are the firm tannins. Ultimately, it’s a refined, exquisite red wine. Bid on this bottle of 2005 Calon-Ségur, St-Estèphe (94RP, 93JS, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted from an ex-château bottle at BI Wine & Spirits Calon-Segur dinner in London, the 2005 Calon Segur is on par with the wonderful 2000. The only real difference is that this needs more time in bottle. It has a captivating nose: blackberry and boysenberry fruit coming at you at full pelt; dried blood and bacon fat developing as secondary aromas just behind. There is fine delineation here - an underlying mineralité sure to surface with time. The palate is very intense and disarmingly youthful, almost ferrous on the entry with layers of ripe black fruit that segue into an earthy finish (with a curious light tang of Marmite on the aftertaste!). A dark plum color is accompanied by a classic Nebbiolo perfume of rose water, melted tar, truffles, and cherry jam. As the wine sits in the glass, aromas of spice box and cigar smoke also emerge.
