Bid on this 1.5 liter 1-bottle lot of 2008 Privé "Joie de Vivre" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir (1.5L). Mark and Tina Hammond make hand-crafted Pinot Noir from their two-acre estate on Chehalem Mountain. Quantities are minuscule, and quality is through the roof. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay (96RP, 96ST, 96WS, 95VN). Wine Spectator: "This makes a profound statement about Chardonnay style. Openly rich and smoky, yet graceful and polished, with roasted fig, honeysuckle, baked apple, marshmallow and cinnamon-tinged spices, gaining depth and length." (06/2013)

2002 Bollinger "La Grande Année" Brut Champagne
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Bollinger "La Grande Année" Brut Champagne (98W&S, 97JS, 94RP, 94ST, 94WS). Wine & Spirits: "There is Champagne, and then there is 2002 Bollinger. This wine makes me dizzy, stammering in cross-eyed bliss. Taking a step back, the sustained chord of flavor comes into focus, revealing a limestone honey: scents of acacia, marzipan, apricot and golden citrus. Jamal Rayyis, one of our tasters with the broadest flavor library in his head, described the scent as loomi (dried lime) and dried apricot, as if walking into a Middle Eastern market. Flavor details aside, the wine’s richness softens the structural grandeur of the vintage, which is buoyed in a mineral bath of power. This will reward another ten or 20 years of age, and the bottles that remain will likely only feed the wine’s legend. " (12/2011)

Full-bodied, with polished velvety tannins, plenty of fruit and a cedary aftertaste. Tight and compacted. This is better than the 2000 Mouton. It's a baby 1986 Mouton. Solid and very, very fine. Persists for a long time on the palate. " (03/2004)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (96RP, 96WE, 95WS, 94ST, 93JS, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " I find this to be a spectacular Pichon Lalande. Dense purple in color, with loads of coffee, mocha, creme de cassis, and chocolate notes, this is a somewhat unusual blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, and a whooping 10% Petit Verdot, with a little bit of Cabernet Franc. The Petit Verdot certainly gives the wine more of a tapenade, floral note, which I think can be interpreted by some as herbal. (RP)" (06/2010)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Fourrier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Gruenchers" Vieille Vigne (93RP, (90-92BH), 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Chambolle-Musigny Les Gruenchers bursts from the glass with a head spinning exotic bouquet that melds seamlessly into layers of dark red fruit. The wine covers every inch of the palate with its superb texture and generous fruit. This turns surprisingly dense and muscular with air, suggesting it has the structure to be a long distance runner. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 exhibits a dark plum/ruby/purple color that is just beginning to lighten at the edge, surprisingly velvety tannins and a classic Pauillac bouquet of lead pencil shavings, cedarwood, black currants, sweet cherries and spice box. This medium to full-bodied, elegant, savory, broad wine is still five years away from full maturity. It should continue to drink well for another 10-15 years. (RP)" (08/2011)

2005 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC)
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98RP, 96WS, 95ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A candidate for one of the wines of the vintage, this stunning 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford includes in its blend some of the oldest Cabernet vines in existence in Napa Valley. It tips the scales at a lofty 15.4% alcohol, but believe it or not, it is strikingly elegant and pure, with laser-like precision. Inky, dark ruby/purple, with a stunning nose of forest floor, creme de cassis and a subtle, earthy minerality, the wine is built like a skyscraper, with a multidimensional mouthfeel and incredible complexity and richness, yet it never comes close to tasting heavy or overwrought. This is just a great terroir, great winemaking, and the results are profound. It seems to be drinkable now, but is capable of at least another 10-20 years of full-throttle pleasure. This is a superstar and a remarkable effort. Bravo! (RP) " (06/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill is an absolutely profound wine, dense, bluish purple color to the rim with a stunning nose of acacia flowers, graphite, blueberry and blackcurrant fruit. The wine is full-bodied and displays a multi-dimensional, skyscraper-like mouthfeel with no sense of heaviness or weight. An incredibly pure, rich, gorgeously constructed wine from a fabulous terroir, this is a stunner to drink now and over the next 30+ years. (RP)" (10/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Bourgogne Blanc has an intriguing bouquet: taut and linear, not a million miles from a Puligny-Montrachet. The palate is crisp on the entry with a fine line of acidity, remaining very strict with plenty of fresh lime and dried apricot furnishing the finish. This is precise and very pure, a sprightly white Burgundy to enjoy in its flush of youth. Drink now-2018. (NM)" (04/2014)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Méo-Camuzet Clos Vougeot Grand Cru (94BH, 93VN, 91RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Subtle oak frames intensely an earthy yet cool and airy red and dark berry fruit suffused nose that is trimmed in gentle hints of spice and sandalwood. The mid-palate of the middle weight flavors is quite supple and round though the vibrant and highly complex finish tightens up immediately. I like the balance and sense of tension and overall, this should also age beautifully yet also be reasonably approachable in its youth." (01/2015)

Classic notes of tobacco, dried cherries, spices, leather and underbrush all emerge from this sweet, layered offering. This richly textured generous Tignanello has put on significant weight in bottle and shows remarkable overall balance. In 1999 Tignanello comes across as more complete than Solaia. Hefty, but suave and seamless. The finish lets graphite and licorice elements glide through. The structure is dense, polished and perfectly integrated, resulting in lovely length. The bouquet is sophisticated and beautifully defined with touches of quince and yellow plum, later white peach. The palate is very well balanced with a taut line of acidity that renders this very linear and direct, quite pointed and penetrating on the finish. This should be intriguing once in bottle. Initially quite reticent, the 1988 turns positively explosive with time in the glass. What a pleasure it is to watch the 1988 develop over several hours. Juicy, lively and intense, with very firm and complex flavors of lime, flower blossom and minerals. Offers a lovely combination of flesh and spine, and noteworthy precision to its sweet fruit. Long on the aftertaste. These vines face south/southeast and always produce fruit that is 0.5% higher in sugar, which rounds out the palate, noted Roulot, who said that this is 12.9% natural alcohol in 2007. 91(+?) points." Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This estate, which has continued to impress me in recent years, hit a home run in 2000. Showing slightly better than I rated it previously, this wine is deep bluish/purple with some lightening at the edge, and its floral nose displays notes of melted licorice, crushed rock, blueberries and black raspberries. A wine of extraordinary balance, equilibrium, and purity, with supple tannins, this medium to full-bodied, concentrated effort is already compelling and has hit its window of full maturity, where it should stay for another 15-20 years. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Kosta Browne Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (93RP, 92VN, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The straight 2012 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley is a gorgeous Pinot. Subtle and nuanced, yet no lightweight, it offers layers of mulled red and black fruits, cinnamon, loamy earth and dried flowers on the nose. Every bit as good on the palate, with a medium to full-bodied, supple and layered profile, it has excellent mid-palate depth, a fabulous texture and a clean finish. It's already hard to resist, but it will evolve nicely through 2022.This was another stacked lineup by the team of Dan Kosta and Michael Browne. All of these wines showed the more approachable style of the 2012 vintage, and had seamless, elegant characters. Fatter and more enveloping than usual for this cru, perhaps because it a bit less minerally in 2001. Focused and energetic on entry, then deeper in the middle, offering spicy redcurrant and bitter cherry flavors and showing excellent mineral spine. Finishes with impressive clarity and cut and lingering smoky mineral and floral notes. (ST)" (06/2013)

2009 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (98RP, 97WS, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Light gold in color, with an extraordinary nose of poached pears, citrus honey and a touch of orange rind, the 2009 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard has beautiful fruit, a full-bodied mouthfeel, penetrating acids and an underlying minerality and richness. The finish goes on for a good 40-45 seconds. This is sensational Chardonnay and very much in keeping with this vineyard. Drink now-2020. (RP)" (08/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru "Les Genevrières" (92ST, 91WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, pale yellow. Lemon, spices and smoky minerality on the nose. Silky on entry, then expands to fill the mouth with rich yet brisk flavors of lemon, dusty stone and vanillin oak. Good acidity gives the wine excellent cut but there's nothing austere about this very nicely balanced premier cru. The captivating rising finish shows a lightly smoky quality and noteworthy finesse." 2014 Cayuse "En Cerise" Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Cayuse "En Cerise" Walla Walla Valley Syrah ((94-96RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Syrah En Cerise was a touch more streamlined and reticent on this occasion, yet still offers beautiful black cherry and cassis fruits, underbrush and a hint of espresso roast in a full-bodied, silky, elegant style. Like all of Christophe’s wines, it will benefit from short-term cellaring. (JD)" (06/2016)

Juicy in fresh cherry, it combines structured elegance and plenty of power, amid a mouthwatering quality that’s seductively delicious and yet just begs the question of how much more nuanced the flavors will be in time. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Canon-La-Gaffelière, St-Emilion (94RP, 93ST, 93WE, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Performing as I expected, but still several years away from full maturity, this extraordinarily flamboyant, full-bodied, opulent, sexy St. Emilion stood out for its backward structure and youthful personality. A dark plum/garnet hue is followed by a superb bouquet of roasted coffee, kirsch, blackberries, licorice, herbs, and forest floor. Full-bodied, dense, rich, and pure, it is a total hedonistic as well as intellectual turn-on. Enjoy it over the next decade. (RP)" (06/2010)

1988 Auguste Clape Cornas
Bid on this bottle of 1988 Auguste Clape Cornas. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1988 Cornas is a more tender style of Cornas than I am used to from Clape; it is not as concentrated as the 1989. It also comes across as lighter, softer, and not nearly as rich and full as most of this estate's wines tend to be. It is drinking surprisingly well at the moment. While some may applaud both the 1989's and 1988's lack of the forbiddingly raw, hard tannin that the savage wines of Cornas can possess, it is those characteristics that I feel make Cornas so distinctive, and repay those who cellar it for 10 or more years. 1977 Penfolds "Grange" Hermitage (Shiraz) South Australia
Bid on this bottle of 1977 Penfolds "Grange" Hermitage (Shiraz) South Australia (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is considered a good rather than outstanding Grange, but I have consistently found this wine to be superb. A blend of 91% and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon from a relatively cool growing year, this wine has full body and a gorgeously complex nose of coffee, creme de cassis, caramel, leather, and a subtle hint of pepper and eucalyptus. The wine is very rich, still somewhat unevolved, with more new oak showing through than most vintages of Grange. The wine still has a dense ruby/purple color and seems to need at least another 3-4 years to reach full maturity, with a very sweet, chewy style but exceptional balance. (RP)" (01/2002)

1988 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1988 Margaux, Margaux (95WS, 93JS). Wine Spectator: "This has both sinew and flesh, with taut dried red currant, blackberry and plum skin notes that are forced to expand outward as the core of black tea, charcoal, plum paste and dark humus fills in quickly behind them. The charcoal-tinged grip carries the finish, with more bass than treble at first, but there's perfume here as well. Seriously long and the most overlooked of the truly great vintages here. Bid on this magnum lot of 2005 Bond "Pluribus" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (98RP, 94VN, 92WS, 91WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Pluribus is from a relatively high-elevation vineyard on the steep slopes of Spring Mountain and planted in the white Tufa volcanic bedrock of that area. This is the most northern vineyard of the Bond Estates, and this wine was just incredible. By far, the biggest, most backward and massive of all the 2005s, this wine behaved as if it were three or four years old, rather than ten. Dense purple, it offers notes of blueberry liqueur, St.-Estèphe-like earth, licorice and a gravelly note with incredible depth, lots of blackberries, and a finish that goes on for 45+ seconds ... 98+ (RP)" (06/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Au Sommet Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon (97WE, 94RP, 93ST, 90WS). Wine Enthusiast: "So good, so rich, so stunning, it’s just a joy to drink even now in its youth. Defines the Heidi Barrett style of big, ripe, exuberant fruit and a classic structure, enhanced in this case by the firm tannins and fine acids of Atlas Peak. Explosive in blackberry and cherry pie filling and cassis flavors, with a distinct mineral tang that must come from the volcanic soils. Contains 2% Petit Verdot. Superbly enjoyable, but as a brand new wine, its future is only a guess. " (03/2011)

Of the 2000 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K The Straw Man" Semillon (375ml),Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "This is an absolutely amazing wine, and must be tasted to be believed. The 2000 The Strawman Vin de Paille is 7% alcohol with 44.9% residual sugar. The grapes were air-dried for two months, and pressed at an amazing 56% sugar. 1999 Palmer, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Palmer, Margaux (95RP, 92ST, 91JS, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1999 is the greatest Palmer made since 1961, 1966, 1970, 1983, and 1989. It is one of the superstars of the vintage. The wine is a blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, and 6% Petit Verdot. It boasts a staggering bouquet of violets and other spring flowers intermixed with licorice, black currants, and subtle wood. Only 50% of the production made it into the grand vin. This is a multidimensional, compelling effort with both power and elegance, it offers sweet tannin along with flavors that caress the palate, and a 45-second finish. This is terrific stuff!
