2008 Jean-Noël Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Caillerets"
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2008 Jean-Noël Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Caillerets" (93WS, 92BH). Wine Spectator: "This is both creamy and fresh, with the lush texture offset by lively acidity. That sets the stage for the ripe apple, lime, pastry and mineral flavors, which hesitate to disappear. Best from 2013 through 2022 (BS)." (06/2011)

2004 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 97WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In possession of everything anyone could want in a wine, this profound effort offers up a bouquet of lavender, cedarwood, creme de cassis, blackberry, subtle smoke and incense. It is broad, full-bodied and opulent with ethereal complexity, remarkable concentration and that indescribable gravitas and nobility that world-class prodigious wines possess. It is the most youthful of this quartet and probably won’t be at its best for another 3-4 years, but it should drink well for at least two decades thereafter. (RP)" (04/2014)

2009 Rhys "Horseshoe Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Rhys "Horseshoe Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (94BH, 94RP, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Pinot Noir Horseshoe Vineyard is the most virile wine in this lineup. Black cherries, mint, iron and crushed rocks come together in this dramatic, generous Pinot. The fleshiness of the fruit nearly covers the tannins, but they are lurking beneath the wine’s considerable fleshiness. Menthol, pine and a host of other dark, balsamic notes wrap around the insistent, powerful finish. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. (AG)" (08/2011)

Of the 2014 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2014 Pinot Noir UV-SL is made from both the Vosne-Romanée and Calera clones of Pinot Noir. This is pure Sonoma Coast Pinot, with a sweet nose of root beer, blackcurrants, black cherries, and forest floor. It is the most densely colored of all four Pinot Noirs, and shows the biggest body, structure and richness. I also think it’s the most concentrated. This is an amazing wine and may have been the best 2014 Pinot Noir I tasted on this last trip. (RP)" (12/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (97JS, 94ST, 94W&S, 92RP, 92WS). James Suckling: "Blueberries, currants and flowers. The nose just pops out. Intense. Full body, with a round and velvety tannin structure and lots of currants, ripe strawberries. Very intense every. Black pepper at the finish. Muscular yet toned. Very structured yet balanced. This needs a minimum of four to five years of aging. Paul Draper says that perhaps this is as great as the legendary 1991. Made for aging." (05/2012)

2004 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 94AG, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Vecina emerges from an 11-acre western Oakville hillside not far from the famed Harlan Estate. This wine, which I rated identically in 2008, has a huge nose of bouquet garni, roasted meats and is clearly the spiciest of all the Bond 2004s. It is full-bodied, viscous and thick, with some tannins still to resolve in the finish. Again, there’s no reason to defer gratification because of the incredibly complex aromas as well as flavors. Some new saddle leather also makes an appearance in this multidimensional, full and impressive wine. This is a terrific example of great Napa viticulture combined with extraordinary craftsmanship from Bob Levy and Michel Rolland, with a long-term vision provided by the inimitable Bill Harlan. Drink this wine over the next 2-3 decades. (RP)" (04/2014)

2007 Carlisle "Gold Mine Ranch" Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Carlisle "Gold Mine Ranch" Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel. From the winery: "Our first fruit of the vintage! In fact, a rare August picking for us, coming in on August 31st. Yields from this 1914 planting were a scant .85 ton to the acre. Fourteen days on the skins. All French oak but only 22% new. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Tasting Note: Medium to medium-dark ruby-garnet. An alluring nose of fresh cherries, red licorice whips, and Dry Creek earth. Full-bodied but bright and focused with its mouth filling cherry fruit punctuated by invigorating tannins on the finish. Our best Gold Mine to date? We think so. Optimum enjoyment should be 2010 through 2014. (MRO – 7/17/09) "

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Joseph Drouhin Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos de la Garenne" (92BH, 91WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " A ripe but quite fresh mix of both white and yellow orchard fruit that evidences a top note of rose petal complements to perfection the rich, full-bodied and relatively powerful yet refined middle weight flavors that possess an opulent mid-palate, all wrapped in a palate staining and seductively textured finish. This is a very stylish '05 with plenty of palate coating dry extract that imparts a suave mouth feel yet there is enough supporting acidity such that this remains light on the palate. Lovely juice that has just now hit its peak though it should easily hold at this level for another decade, perhaps longer." (04/2012)

Bid on this magnum lot of 2012 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) (98RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Leading off the wines tasted from bottle, the 2013 Booker Vineyard is one of the prettier, more elegant and pure examples of this cuvee I can recall. A blend of 67% Syrah and the rest Mourvedre, fermented with 30% whole cluster, this total thrill ride offers sensational notes of creme de cassis, black raspberries, ground herbs and crushed flowers to go with a full-bodied, ultra-pure, silky and seamless style on the palate. 1986 Climens, Barsac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1986 Climens, Barsac (96RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A totally compelling Climens and to my mind, every bit as good as the 1988, the 1986 is probably the best Climens made since their spectacular 1971. It is still light gold in color, with an expansive bouquet of new oak, oranges, pineapples, and other tropical fruits. In the mouth, the great richness seems all the more impressive because of the wine's remarkable clarity and definition. There is as much botrytis in the 1986 as in the 1988. Despite the intensity and extract levels, this sweet wine comes across as crisp and relatively light. The 1986 is a stunning example of Climens at its very best. (RP)" (08/1993)

1975 Ridge Vineyards "York Creek" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1975 Ridge Vineyards "York Creek" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92JG). John Gilman: "Whereas the 1974 York Creek is a lovely and very pure bottle of mature cabernet that remains at its apogee, the 1975 is not quite in the same league in terms of polish, as it is just a touch horsey on both the nose and palate from a bit of brettanomyces in this vintage. Folks have different tolerances to brett, and if even a small amount puts you off, then this wine is probably not for you. However, if you touch of brett is no big deal for you personally, then there is still plenty to enjoy in the ’75 York Creek cabernet, as the wine is a bit younger than the 1974 at this point in its life and will continue to cruise along quite a bit longer than its older sibling. The impressively complex bouquet is a blend of black cherries, cassis, leather, cigar ash, a nice base of soil, a touch of black truffle, celery seed and charred wood. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and j

Dark ruby-colored with a garnet rim, it displays a lovely nose of Asian spices, incense, tobacco, balsamic, and blackberry. On the palate it has exceptional depth, layers of spicy black fruit, excellent ripeness, and an elegant personality. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Louis Jadot Bonnes Mares Grand Cru ((92-95ST), (92-95WS), 94BH). 92-95 points Stephen Tanzer: "(from calcaire-rich soil on the Chambolle side of the cru) Deep ruby-red. Black cherry and crushed stone on the nose; in a slightly oxidative phase. Then dense, ripe and highly concentrated, with a powerful chewy texture and soil-driven flavors of wild herbs and sexy brown spices. The very sweet, long finish displays a chocolatey ripeness. In an awkward stage of its evolution today, but it's hard to imagine that this won't be a standout." (Mar/Apr 2010) 92-95 points from the Wine Spectator's Bruce Sanderson: "Jadot's Bonnes Mares comes from the Chambolle side, which consists of white soil rather than the red soil found in the northern Morey sector. It was complex and powerful, showing raspberry and cherry flavors followed by a long, chalky finish (92-95, non-blind)." (Decanted, 03/10).

2005 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95CG, 95RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As for the 2005 Proprietary Red, it is a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% each Petit Verdot and Malbec. While this might not be the blockbuster one would expect, there is outstanding depth, purity and overall texture and ripeness. Again, terrific acidity gives the wine vigor and precision, despite a lofty 15.2% alcohol. The wine is fresh and pure, with black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, some white floral notes, and the telltale forest floor. This is a wine to drink over the next 10-15+ years. The flavors are dark, ripe and intense, yet there are lovely floral, spice and mineral veins running through the fruit that give the wine its sense of sophistication. 2011 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (95RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Chardonnay UV-SL Vineyard emerges from a site on the Sonoma Coast seven miles from the ocean, just above Occidental. Apricots, peaches, wild flowers, nectarine and smoke are some of the multiple nuances in the glass. The UV-SL is another of the richer, more textured wines in the lineup. At the same time, the 2011 is a wine of vivid nuance, transparency and crystalline purity. Here, too, the 100% new oak barrels are totally integrated. It is so rare to find so much detail in this creamy, big Chardonnay, but it’s all there. This is another utterly impeccable wine from Mark Aubert." (04/2013)

A blend of 75% Grenache, 12.5% Syrah, 11.5% Mourvedre and a splash of Roussanne (fermented with 11% whole clusters), it has a perfumed, complex style, with notions of black raspberry, cassis, dried flowers, white pepper and licorice giving way to a full-bodied, layered and seamless mouthfeel. There’s no shortage of fruit here, and while it’s hard to resist now, it has enough tannin to warrant short-term cellaring. It should knock it out of the park through 2029. (JD)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Louis Carillon Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (95BH, 93ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A discreet touch of pain grillé frames an equally expressive and every bit as pure nose of honeysuckle and lemon-lime aromas that combine seamlessly with rich, round and quite generous middle weight plus flavors that possess even better depth and stunning length. This is the complete package with a textured and palate staining finish as the level of dry extract here is most impressive. A stunner of a Bienvenues that should reward at least a decade of cellar time." (02/2011)

1995 Latour, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1995 Latour, Pauillac (96RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A beauty, the opaque dense purple-colored 1995 exhibits jammy cassis, vanillin, and minerals in its fragrant but still youthful aromatics. Medium to full-bodied, with exceptional purity, superb concentration, and a long, intense, ripe, 40-second finish, this is a magnificent example of Latour. As the wine sat in the glass, scents of roasted espresso and toasty new oak emerged. This classic will require considerable cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2050. (RP)" (06/2000)

Highly concentrated, densely packed and built to age. As young as it is, it also shows a lovely velvety texture rare for this vintage. Finishes with terrific breadth, subtle minerality and noble tannins. I've been a fan of this wine since the outset. (ST)" (06/2005)

Bold, sleek and velvety on the palate, with a distinct core that is pleasingly redolent of fresh-picked grape stems, but surrounded by ripe raspberry and cherry flavors. It evens out with hints of leather, toast, crème brûlée, rose petals, citrus and toast on the long, lingering finish." (10/2003)

Of the 2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Santa Rita Hills Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A wine that needs to be forgotten in the cellar for 5-6 years, the 2011 Syrah Patine checks in as a blend of roughly 97% Syrah and the balance Roussanne and Viognier. It too comes all from the estate's Eleven Confessions Vineyard and saw 39 months in 63% new French oak. Backward, tight, concentrated and structured, with full-bodied richness and depth, it gives up Guigal La Landonne like aromas and flavors of graphite, sweet oak, smoked meats, pepper and black raspberry and cassis-like fruit. 2014 Kosta Browne "Gap's Crown Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 2014 Kosta Browne "Gap's Crown Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94RP, 90VN, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from steep, rocky soils on the Sonoma Coast, the 2014 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard was brought up in 25% new French oak, 16% concrete and the rest in old barrels. All of the Pinot Noirs here go into barrel dry and see malolactic fermentation in barrel. This fabulous beauty gives up notes of black cherries, spring flowers, violets and spice in a medium-bodied, ultra-pure, seamless and elegant package that will benefit from short term cellaring and then cruise for a decade on its impeccable balance. This was another rock star lineup from Kosta Browne and it’s certainly one of the most impressive lineups I tasted all year. And while I generally consider 2013 to be a better vintage than 2014, these 2014s are a step up over last year’s releases, which were no slouches either. The estate continues to use moderate amounts of whole clusters for t

2002 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Red Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Red Blend (98RP, 95WE, 95WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Vecina comes from a vineyard not far from the steep hillsides of Harlan Estate, on the western hills of the Mayacamas Mountains overlooking the Oakville corridor and the eastern hillsides. This is a much earthier, spicier, more structured wine, much more masculine, with notes of scorched earth and almost Graves-like smoky, camphor and barbecue notes as well as black fruits galore. With its big, muscular structure and dense opaque/purple color, this wine actually seems younger in its evolution than either the St. Eden or Melbury. It is probably best forgotten for another 5-6 years, with another 30-34 years lifeline potential. It’s a sensational wine. 98+ (RP)" (06/2012)

2010 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (97VN, 96ST, 96W&S, 91RP, 90CG, 90WE). Vinous: "The 2010 Monte Bello is just as stunning as it has always been. Today, the 2010 appears to be entering a closed phase, so it is best left alone for at least another 5-10 years, perhaps longer. The signatures are super-ripe, exotic fruit, sweet aromatics and firm tannins, all of which ensure the 2010 will be utterly magnificent in a few decades. The growing season was characterized by mostly cold weather, with an unexpectedly intense heat spike in mid-October that gave the fruit a final push. One of the things that makes this vintage so compelling is the interplay of firm structural elements from the cold year and a high level of ripeness that was achieved late. In my view, the 2010 is one of the most thrilling recent Monte Bellos, however it won't be ready to drink for a number of years and it won't peak for quite some time beyond that.
