2009 Aubert "Ritchie Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Aubert "Ritchie Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (96WS, 95RP). Wine Spectator: " *Highly Recommended* A rich yet subtle style that serves up bold fig, honeydew, apricot and savory flavors that are full-bodied and tapered, at points both silky and minerally, ending with a fabulous burst of fruit. Drink now through 2018. (JL)" (12/2011)

2014 Cayuse "Flying Pig" Walla Walla Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Cayuse "Flying Pig" Walla Walla Valley Bordeaux Blend (OCB - (94-96RP)) in original cardboard. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "he Merlot dominated wine from the estate, the 2014 Flying Pig incorporates 40% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Like all of the Bordeaux blends here, it’s raised in puncheons, with a small amount being new. This full-bodied barrel sample has a rich, voluptuous style as well as textbook cassis, lead pencil shavings, cedar and graphite aromas and flavors. I love its overall density and depth, and it while it should drink nicely out of the gate, it should evolve gracefully as well. (JD)" (06/2016)

2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WE, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a hot vintage and incredible any way you look at it, the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon has that laser-like focus of a cooler year, yet the voluptuousness and richness of a warmer year. Smoked black fruits, coffee, truffle and pen ink-like aromas and flavors all emerge from this massive, incredibly full-bodied effort and on the palate, it carries itself perfectly with a weightless, yet decadent texture, masses of polished tannin and blockbuster length. More classic and textbook than the 2007, it is every bit as good. (JD)" (06/2013)

2011 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhone Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2011 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhone Blend (1.5L) (96RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beautifully done, and probably the most elegant, seamless version of this cuvee I’ve tasted, the 2011 Booker Vineyard offers terrific aromas and flavors of liquid violets, sappy underbrush, smoked , exotic spices and plenty of crushed rock-like minerality that are all carried by layers of sweet cassis and black raspberry. There’s a northern Rhone-like character here, but it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, fantastic mid-palate concentration, and a seamless, layered and multi-dimensional mouthfeel that’s hard to resist. Made from 67% Syrah and 33% Mourvedre and aged in 300- and 350-liter hogsheads (and fermented with varying degrees of whole cluster), this beautifully pure, polished and complex effort will benefit from short-term cellaring and have over 15 years of overall longevity. 2011 Sine Qua Non "Dark Blossom" California Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Sine Qua Non "Dark Blossom" California Grenache (97RP, 97VN, (93-95ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Grenache Dark Blossom is probably the best Grenache-based blend in the vintage. A blend of 75% Grenache, 12.5% Syrah, 11.5% Mourvedre and a splash of Roussanne (fermented with 11% whole clusters), it has a perfumed, complex style, with notions of black raspberry, cassis, dried flowers, white pepper and licorice giving way to a full-bodied, layered and seamless mouthfeel. There’s no shortage of fruit here, and while it’s hard to resist now, it has enough tannin to warrant short-term cellaring. It should knock it out of the park through 2029. (JD)" (08/2014)

1973 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1973 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A clear, deep colour. Tertiary at first, showing a little volatility, mint and mulberry coming through the alcoholic haze. The palate is impressive: very well balanced, fresh and harmonious, perhaps even more “natural” than the ’74. Fig, leather, cooked meats, smoke and dried blood. Very elegant on the Saint Julien-styled finish. Excellent considering its age. (NM)" (11/2009)

1999 Colin Deleger Chassagne Montrachet En Remilly (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 1999 Colin Deleger Chassagne Montrachet En Remilly (1.5L) (91BH, 90ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "While most examples of En Remilly offer good detail and minerality, few offer the power and intensity of this '99. Quite tight and closed with almost painfully intense flavors and a powerful acid backbone; the entire package is like drinking liquid rocks. This is so reserved today that it's frankly difficult to evaluate and my rating could well prove to be conservative. Note: as of the tasting date above, the wine has opened somewhat and is now more forward though it still will require time. First rate juice." (06/2002)

Bid on this bottle of 2008 La Mission-Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (95RP, 95WE, 93JS, 92ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Like a lot of wines in this underrated vintage, the 2008 La Mission was one of the great bargains of recent vintages. Its healthy blue/purple color is followed by aromas of blueberries, black raspberries, licorice, truffles, underbrush and forest floor. The scorched earthy/smoky character of this estate’s terroir has not yet emerged. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated with good acidity, freshness and delineation, this is a big wine for the vintage, but also very classic in its balance of tannin, acidity and extract. It will benefit from another 5-7 years of cellaring and should keep for three decades. (RP)" (08/2012)

Of the 2014 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Meursault 1er Cru "Les Genevrieres",Wine Spectator writes: "Tasting this white is like sucking on stones, with intense chalky aromas and lemon and spice flavors. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru "Montée de Tonnerre" (94VN, 91ST). Vinous: "The 2011 Chablis Montee de Tonnerre is all about grace. A gentle hint of spice leads to dried pears, crushed flowers, red berries and licorice. Constantly changing in the glass, the 2011 is a marvel to behold. Suggestions of smoke, graphite and licorice add layers of nuance in a magical wine loaded with class and personality. Best of all, the 2011 is relatively approachable by Raveneau standards, which means reader won't have to wait long at all to experience the magic of one of the great sites in Chablis. Wine & Spirits: "Some of Prüm's releases in this decade have been more fruit-forward and less overtly yeasty than in the past, but this wine feels like a Prüm Spätlese of old: Tightly restrained and stubbornly closed behind a wall of youthful fermentation aromas, it takes its time to reveal subtle detail and silky depth of fruit. It's infused by the haunting blue-slate character for which the vineyard is renowned, and while it undoubtedly packs more richness and ripeness than a Prüm wine of 20 years ago, it maintains a similar feeling of delicacy, purity and grace." The wine's zesty acidity brings everything into extraordinary clarity. With plenty of botrytis evident, this is a full-bodied, super-concentrated, fascinating, powerful yet elegant Sauternes that will age beautifully for 25-30 years. Anticipated maturity: 2001-2030. 2005 Lokoya Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Lokoya Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "It is almost becoming routine to give a three-digit score to Lokoya’s Cabernet Sauvignons from Mount Veeder. They just seem to hit every sweet spot on my palate, and the 2005 is a compelling effort. The prodigious 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder is still a baby at age ten. Inky purple, the wine exhibits notes of graphite, roast meat, forest floor, crème de cassis and blackberry liqueur with touches of asphalt and charcoal. It is full-bodied, ripe and extraordinarily pure and intense, with wonderfully sweet, integrated tannin and wood. This wine, ideally, needs another 5-6 years cellaring, since it’s still so young. Bid on this bottle of 1985 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (94RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " This is a great Pichon-Lalande wallowing in its maturity. Here it retains that enticing tobacco-infused nose with leather and a touch of thyme, the palate beautifully balanced with tarry black fruit, vibrant acidity, mellow and supple with a touch of game coming through. Supple with firm tannins marrying naturally on the finish that has the texture (though not alcohol!) of a tawny port. I suspect this has not intention of ameliorating further and alongside the 1983, these are the Pichon Lalande’s to start depleting in your cellar. Drink now-2018. Tasted January 2010. 1983 Trotanoy, Pomerol
Bid on this bottle of 1983 Trotanoy, Pomerol (92JG). John Gilman: "The 1983 Trotanoy is a beautiful example of the vintage and one of the great unsung years for this estate in the superb decade of the 1980s. The excellent bouquet offers up a very complex and classic mélange of dark berries, roasted plums, cigar smoke, a touch of new leather, tobacco leaf, incipient nuttiness, coffee, a beautiful base of gravelly soil, fresh herbs, incipient notes of black truffles and a smoke topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and impressively complex, with a fine core of fruit, superb elegance and focus, modest tannins and lovely length and grip on the perfectly balanced, creamy and light on its feet finish. A beautiful bottle of Trotanoy, the 1983 is now just arriving its apogee of peak drinkability and should cruise along at this fine level for another two or three decades- and may be even more enjoyable with another five or six years of the tannins melting further into the backgro

1985 Silver Oak "Bonny's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1985 Silver Oak "Bonny's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Bonny's Vineyard, which can be a controversial wine given its overt herbaceousness in some vintages, exhibited a subtle Provencal herb character dominated by lavish quantities of sweet, jammy black fruit, all of which was complemented by plenty of smoky, toasty American oak. Lush, opulent, and voluptuous, with an exotic, flamboyant personality, this fully mature wine shows no signs of decline. (RP)" (04/1995)

2009 Clos Rougeard "Brezé" Saumur Blanc
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Clos Rougeard "Brezé" Saumur Blanc . This exceptional cult domaine run by brothers Nadi and Charlie Foucault was "found" by the late Louis Dressner, who had a knack for finding incredible producers. Small yields, barrel fermentation, slow and cold barrel aging and bottling without filtration combine to create these highly sought, allocated wines. Their "Brezé" Chenin Blanc was been described by Michel Bettane as "the quintessence of Chenin."

2002 Mitolo "G.A.M." Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Mitolo "G.A.M." Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia ((95-97RP), 94JH, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Produced from 26-year old vines and aged in French oak (80% new), the 2002 Shiraz G. A. M. reveals tremendous fruit purity, but it does not yet reveal secondary nuances. The inky blue/purple color is accompanied by aromas of ink, camphor, graphite, blackberries, and blueberries. While it possesses tremendous purity as well as an enormous full-bodied texture, it is neither heavy nor overbearing. This stunning Shiraz may be even better than the 2002 Savitar. Time will tell. Barrel samples of three 2002s revealed tremendous potential in what appears to be the finest efforts Mitolo has yet produced. There are 300-400 cases of each, and all three are scheduled to be bottled in October. Kudos to young importer (31 years old!) Ben Hammerschlag for unearthing these potential superstars. 2005 Domaine Heresztyn Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru "Les Millandes"
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Heresztyn Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru "Les Millandes" (92BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is very ripe but stops short of surmaturité with notes of violets, plum and subtle spice and earth notes leading to rich and full-bodied flavors that have a distinct mineral edge on the complex, punchy and naturally sweet finish that delivers superb length. This is harmonious and transparent with really lovely depth and should age very well. Recommended and this is one of those wines that gives me the sense that there is even more in reserve than it's showing, which means there could be upside here." (01/2008)

1988 Philip Togni "Tanbark Hill" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1988 Philip Togni "Tanbark Hill" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. According to Robert Parker: "Cabernet Sauvignon is king at Togni, and they are wines of extraordinary concentration, flavor dimension, and aging potential. The 1988 Cabernet Sauvignon Tan Bark Hill Vineyard, made from purchased grapes from Spring Mountain (and cellared by Togni for most of a decade), is a beefy, herb-tinged, spicy Cabernet. It is full-bodied, dense, and rich, but the tannin is still aggressive, giving the wine a rustic personality. It will continue to age for another 10-15 years. Part mountain goat, part man, Philip Togni continues to fight vineyard diseases such as Pierce's, and frightfully low yields from his formidably steep Spring Mountain vineyards to produce some of California's most exciting wines." (12/97) According to the Wine Spectator: "Has a nice streak of raspberry-tinged flavor that reminds us of Zinfandel. The fruit has good intensity and depth, and the tannins

2013 Hidden Ridge "Impassable Mountain Reserve" Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Hidden Ridge "Impassable Mountain Reserve" Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Impassable Mountain Reserve sounds relatively intimidating, but if you want a quintessential example of what perfection is in my business, taste this wine! Absolutely remarkable in every sense -- the incredible pure aromatics of blue, red and black fruits, the minerality, the volcanic, earthy sweetness that emerges in a subtle fashion, the full-bodied opulence, the staggering finish of more than a minute, and its unreal concentration certainly make this one of the most compelling and profound Cabernet Sauvignons I have ever tasted, and the first perfect wine of 2016. This should be nearly immortal, drinking well young, and for those with the patience and wisdom to wait 25-35 years, a legacy wine from Sonoma. When I first started doing my centralized tastings of the many wineries that I could not possibly have t

2010 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (100JS, 100RP, 98WE, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An absolutely amazing wine...It comes from one of the few biodynamic vineyards in Bordeaux, but you are likely to see many more, given the success that Tesseron seems to be having at all levels, both in his vineyards and in his fermentation/winemaking. An astounding, compelling wine with the classic Pauillac nose more often associated with its cross-street neighbor, Mouton-Rothschild, creme de cassis, there are also some violets and other assorted floral notes. The wine has off-the-charts massiveness and intensity but never comes across as heavy, overbearing or astringent. The freshness, laser-like precision, and full-bodied, massive richness and extract are simply remarkable to behold and experience ... (RP)" (02/2013)

2003 Shirvington Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Shirvington Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia (96BC, 96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The big, concentrated yet velvety-textured, magnificent 2003 Shiraz reveals a seamless integration of tannin, acidity, wood, and alcohol, it boasts aromas of blackberry liqueur intermixed with violets. The fragrant aromatics are followed by an explosively rich, full-bodied, unctuously-textured, compelling Shiraz. Interestingly, this 2003 does not appear to be quite as powerful or concentrated as the 2002s or 2001s, but that’s like splitting hairs. The evolution of this 2003 will be fascinating to follow. Of the 1985 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Medium red with some amber at the rim. Sexy aromas of redcurrant, raspberry, truffle, underbrush and flint. Sweet and a bit wild, showing terrific retention of candied raspberry and plum fruit. This concentrated wine is a step up in texture and depth of fruit from the earlier vintages. Strong but integrated acidity gives it definition and lift, with the long finish showing broad, tongue-dusting tannins. (ST)" (07/2015)
