2005 Chateau Montelena Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2005 Chateau Montelena Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The winery continues to turn out a strong Cabernet Sauvignon from vineyards in the Calistoga area. This is a big production item (10,000 cases), and tends to be a good value for a high-class Napa Cabernet. The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon (22,000 cases) is a beauty. Savory black currant fruit notes intermixed with some licorice, underbrush, and spice jump from the glass of this medium to full-bodied, smoothly textured, beautifully elegant wine meant to be served and drunk in its first 10-12 years of life. This clearly has the fingerprints of Chateau Montelena's Bo Barrett and his father Jim Barrett, but at a much lower price point, and for that reason seems an ideal steakhouse Cabernet that gives both value and pleasure. 2015 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 97RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the greatest wines in the vintage is the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Materium which is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a higher elevation hillside vineyard in Oakville that was raised in 90% new French oak barrels. Just magical stuff that has incredible aromatics of crème de cassis, white flowers, huge minerality, violets, and scorched earth. This is followed by a massive, opulent, yet weightless wine that has off the charts purity of fruit, fine, fine tannin, perfect balance, and a finish that won’t quit. This legendary beauty will benefit from 5-6 years of bottle age and keep for three to four decades." (12/2017)

It has fabulous aromas of black truffles, currants, raspberry and dried flowers. Mind-blowing on the palate, it’s an emotional and soulful red." (04/2014)

2004 Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les St-Georges"
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les St-Georges" (94JG, (90-93BH), (90-92ST)). John Gilman: "The 2004 Les St. Georges is the aristocrat of the cellar, and while it may not quite have the same power as the Vaucrains, it is the most complex young wine here. The nose is deep, refined and shows outstanding complexity for such a young bottle of Nuits, offering up notes of black cherries, red plums, layers of minerality, a bit of the game to come, woodsmoke, bitter chocolate, a hint of violet (though not as floral as the Cailles) and a delicate framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, closed and rock solid at the core, with beautiful balance, well-integrated tannins, and a long, tangy finish. Great juice in the making." (01/2006)

2002 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 97WE, 97WS, 95W&S, 94VN, 93CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In contrast to the more linear, structured, but massive 2001, the 2002 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select is pure fruit-bomb material, but stunningly proportioned, beautifully pure, with notes of melted chocolate, blackcurrant jam, sweet black cherries, licorice, camphor and charcoal. Very full-bodied, like the 2001, but much more lavishly fruited, it is more accessible and hedonistically, as well as intellectually, satisfying. If the 2001 is the long-distance runner, this comes across more like a middle-distancer. It had performed fabulously well since it was released by the winery, and even though it’s still an adolescent in terms of its evolution, this wine is a head-turner in wine tastings, and a spectacular effort from Napa. Drink now or drink in 20-25 years. (RP)" (12/2014)

2014 Abreu "Rothwell Hyde" St. Helena Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Abreu "Rothwell Hyde" St. Helena Bordeaux Blend (93JD, 93VN). Vinous: "The 2014 Rothwell Hyde, Abreu's second wine, is wonderfully fresh and perfumed. Silky and racy, with terrific purity to the red cherry and plum flavors, the Rothwell Hyde offers a great window into the house style and also the personality of the year. Best of all, the 2014 will drink well with minimal cellaring. What a gorgeous wine this is. Once again, Brad Grimes poured the Rothwell Hyde at the very end of our tasting. The wine did not suffer at all being placed after all the big guns of 2014, 2015 and 2016, which is probably be the best compliment I can pay. (AG)" (03/2018)

Still incredibly youthful, it showed incredible focus and depth, all backed up by considerable structure. As hard as it may seem to believe, on this night the 1986 appeared to still be some years away from peaking. It was striking in every way. (AG) 98+" (02/2012)

2009 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Light gold in color, with an extraordinary nose of poached pears, citrus honey and a touch of orange rind, the 2009 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard has beautiful fruit, a full-bodied mouthfeel, penetrating acids and an underlying minerality and richness. The finish goes on for a good 40-45 seconds. This is sensational Chardonnay and very much in keeping with this vineyard. Drink now-2020. (RP)" (08/2015)

2013 Kongsgaard Napa Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2013 Kongsgaard Napa Valley Chardonnay (96RP, 95VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay, which is already in bottle, displays nectarine, tangerine oil, crushed rock, earthy, full-bodied richness, and magnificent texture and length. This is just a stunner to drink over the next decade or so. One of the great wine producers in Napa Valley, John Kongsgaard first worked at Newton winery, where he had been taught well by the world guru in winemaking, Michel Rolland. When he went out on his own, he developed a strong relationship with the Hudson family and now produces fruit from specially planted clones in the Hudson Vineyard, while also maintaining his own estate on Atlas Peak in Coombsville. All of his wines are unfined, unfiltered, singular in style, and often some of the most expressive and remarkable wines in Napa Valley. Bid on this magnum of 1989 Château de Beaucastel "Hommage à Jacques Perrin" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (OWC - 100RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The less evolved 1989 boasts an even inkier purple color than the 1990. The most massive, biggest, concentrated, and structured of any of the Jacques Perrins, but it is still 5-10 years away from full maturity. It has great intensity and is extraordinary to taste, but it is not a lot of fun to drink ... if you know what I mean. In any event, this is a potentially perfect wine. The only question is, when will it hit its plateau of maturity? My guess is around 2010." (01/2003)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This insanely good 2010 Syrah Bionic Frog offers incredible notes of blood orange, liquid violets, cassis, seared meats, licorice and crushed rocks to go with full-bodied richness, ultra-fine tannic structure, perfectly integrated acidity and a blockbuster finish. Raised in roughly 20% new demi-muids and foudre, this is a heavenly Syrah that couldn't get any better. Give it 2-4 years in the cellar and enjoy bottles through 2030. (JD)" (06/2015)

1986 d'Yquem, Sauternes
Bid on this bottle of 1986 d'Yquem, Sauternes (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There is no other wine in the world like it, and there is no other luxury wine that can possibly justify its price as much as Yquem. The remarkable amount of painstaking labor necessary to produce the nectar known as Yquem is almost impossible to comprehend. This is a fascinating effort. With greater evidence of botrytis than the colossal 1983, but less power and alcohol, the 1986 Yquem tastes reminiscent of the 1975, only more precocious, as well as more concentrated. Several highly respected Bordeaux negociants who are Yquem enthusiasts claim the 1986 Yquem is the greatest wine produced at the property since the legendary 1937. Its enthralling bouquet of pineapples, sauteed hazelnuts, vanillin, and ripe apricots is breathtaking. Compellingly concentrated, the breadth as well as depth of flavor seemingly know no limits. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An inky/plum/purple color is accompanied by a stunning bouquet of violets, charcoal, creme de cassis and a hint of toast. Prodigious when it hits the palate with a full-bodied expansiveness, there is not a hard edge to be found in the 1997, only velvety tannins, compelling depth and fruit intensity, and stunning purity. Full-bodied and packed with fruit and tannins, its long finish is refined and silky. A benchmark for the vintage. Las Cases has always wanted to make first-growth quality in a top-notch vintage, and it certainly did in 2000. Best after 2012. *Collectibles - Ranked #5 on Top 100 of 2003* (JS)" (03/2003)

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Sloan Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 97WS, 93JS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 is performing even better from bottle than it did from barrel. Sloan and McClellan decided to bottle it later than usual, recognizing the rugged, tough tannins of the vintage could be sweetened up with longer barrel aging. Their strategy worked. The wine’s dense ruby/purple color is followed by notes of white chocolate, burning embers, creme de cassis, coffee, and scorched earth (think Haut-Brion or La Mission Haut-Brion). It possesses terrific structure, melted, well-integrated tannins, full body, and is already bursting with complexity. A great success, it is one of the vintage’s most thrilling wines. 2002 Domaine Dujac Morey St. Denis 1er Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2002 Domaine Dujac Morey St. Denis 1er Cru ((88-91BH), 90ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Very reduced and this is hard to read, aromatically speaking. Otherwise, the medium weight flavors are extremely rich, delicious, deep and beautifully complex with outstanding concentration. Assuming the nose is ultimately a match for the flavors, this could merit the top of the range. Jacques Seysses, and his son Jeremy who is responsible for the Fils et Père and the white wines, told me that 2002 was a 'return to normal. We destemmed 40% in 2001 and we think that was the right decision as many domaines extracted too much tannin. In 2002, we destemmed only 10 to 15% of the crop and we did mostly whole cluster fermentation. We also did more punch downs early before the alcohol was really an extraction facilitator. Yields were significantly lower in 2002 at around 30 hl/ha for the grands crus (compared to 40 hl/ha in 2001) up to 40 hl/ha at the villages level. But it's i

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Syrah Morrison Lane (100% Syrah) comes from some of the oldest Syrah vines in Walla Walla. Aged in 30% new French oak, it’s a beauty with notions of black raspberry, kirsch, pepper, big minerality and hints of leather all soaring from the glass. This is followed by a classy, yet structured Syrah that has high quality tannin and rock star length on the finish. As with all of Charles’ wines, it can be enjoyed in its youth due to the texture and overall balance, yet it won’t hit its stride until a handful of years after the vintage. 2013 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The perfect 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Kayli Morgan spent 32 months in French oak prior to being bottled unfiltered. Like all of the Woodbridge wines, it can be noted for its inky/bluish purple color, extraordinary fragrance of white flowers, crème de cassis, blackberry and graphite. Totally opulent, I always thought the wine tasted more like the great Pomerols, which are made mostly from Merlot, versus Woodbridge’s 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. But this vineyard has a lot of clay in it that seems to provide a silkiness to the tannins. This is a beautifully balanced, full-throttle and highly extracted wine with no hard edges and a finish of a good 45-50 seconds. The fruit character is still vibrant and intense, despite the 32 months of oak age. Drink it over the next 30 years. (RP)" (10/2016)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2011 Woodward Canyon "Estate Reserve" Walla Walla Valley Bordeaux Blend (94RP, 94WE, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Estate Reserve is gorgeous as well. Possessing a floral-driven bouquet that includes lead pencil shavings, black raspberry, spice and crushed flowers, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, superb mid-palate depth and a classically styled, age-worthy feel. A blend of 95% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot that spent 22 months in French oak, it’s another classic effort from this estate that will have 15 to 20 years of longevity. (JD)" (06/2014)

2011 Woodward Canyon "Old Vines" Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Woodward Canyon "Old Vines" Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96WE, 94RP). Wine Enthusiast: "*Cellar Selection* The Cabernet comes from 40-year-old vines at Champoux and Sagemoor, with small amounts of Petit Verdot and Syrah in the blend. Black cherry, cassis, iron and graphite combine in a sturdy, authoritative, powerful midpalate. Licorice and espresso flavors streak through the lengthy finish. This is quite tight and compact, and will require decanting if drunk young, and lengthy cellaring-20 years or longer-to reach its full potential." (12/2014)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Subtle oak aromas and rich, earthy fruit with abundant, exotic oriental spice, tea and earth flavors coated in old vine sappiness. The tannins are quite fine for Nuits, ripe and supple. Approachable now but should reward 7 to 8 years of cellar time." (01/2002)

2009 Woodward Canyon "Old Vines" Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Woodward Canyon "Old Vines" Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Woodward Canyon’s 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Old Vines Reserve – 60% from Champoux Vineyard; 33% from Sagemoor; incorporating 7% Petit Verdot from their Walla Walla estate; and comprising what for this bottling is an unusually generous 665 cases – reached a heady 16.7% alcohol, which exposes itself in finishing heat. Mint chocolate, dried cherry, and cooked mulberry are accented by juniper berry on a broad, weighty palate. Fermentable sugars were higher than sheer brix would have led one to expect in 2009, notes Mott by way of partially explaining the high alcohol in this vintage, and in addition he favors the aromas developed in a closed-top fermentation tank, which means less alcohol can be blown-off in the process of fermentation itself. I would monitor this closely if planning to cellar any. (DS)" (12/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94VN, 93RP, 93WS). Vinous: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Georges de Latour Private Reserve is a drop-dead gorgeous beauty. Freshly cut flowers, mint, spices, licorice and graphite all burst from the glass as the 2010 shows off its personality. While some of Beaulieu's 2010s are ripe and flashy, the Georges de Latour is wonderfully fresh and alive in the glass, not to mention absolutely classic in feel. Graphite, violets and pencil shavings linger on the close. The 2010 has captured every bit of the potential I sensed last year. (AG)" (11/2013)

2011 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (96RP, 94ST, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beautifully done, and probably the most elegant, seamless version of this cuvee I’ve tasted, the 2011 Booker Vineyard offers terrific aromas and flavors of liquid violets, sappy underbrush, smoked, exotic spices and plenty of crushed rock-like minerality that are all carried by layers of sweet cassis and black raspberry. There’s a northern Rhone-like character here, but it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, fantastic mid-palate concentration, and a seamless, layered and multi-dimensional mouthfeel that’s hard to resist. Made from 67% Syrah and 33% Mourvedre and aged in 300- and 350-liter hogsheads (and fermented with varying degrees of whole cluster), this beautifully pure, polished and complex effort will benefit from short-term cellaring and have over 15 years of overall longevity. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Rhys "Swan Terrace - Alpine Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (94BH, 94ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale violet color. Drop-dead gorgeous aromas of raspberry, potpourri, Asian spices and minerals, with a strong undercurrent of white pepper and mocha; this smells like a Dujac Echezeaux, from a serious vintage. Sweet red and dark berry flavors display liqueur-like depth, tangy minerality giving the wine verve. The mineral note dominates the long, spicy finish, which echoes the red fruit and floral notes. It's hard to find this level of precision, depth and drive outside the high-rent districts of Chambolle. (ST)" (06/2009)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Kistler "Trenton Road House" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (96RP, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Chardonnay Trenton Roadhouse is one of the more intense wines in the lineup. The Trenton Road House is all about textural power and depth. It will appeal most to readers who enjoy the richer style of California Chardonnay. Layers of fruit build to an explosive finish that won’t be denied, yet the wine turns intensely mineral, pointed and multi-dimensional with time in the glass. This is another great showing. 2001 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97WS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Staggeringly pure notes of creme de cassis, violets, licorice and graphite soar from the glass of this inky/purple-colored wine. Composed of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot, and tasting like it is 2-3 years old, it is a stunningly pure, rich, full-bodied, prodigious example of high elevation mountain Cabernet Sauvignon that will not reach full maturity for another 5-7 years, and should age beautifully for another two decades or more. It is a magical wine to smell, taste and contemplate. These impressive 2001s from Pride Mountain Vineyards were made during the regime of Bob Foley and the late Jim Pride. The two most limited production cuvees are the Reserve Claret and Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, which are almost impossible to find. 98+ (RP) " (05/2011)

Wine Enthusiast: "Since this is the winery’s largest production Pinot, but still under 1,000 cases, buyers actually have a chance of finding this full-bodied beauty. Sly on the nose, it is tense in toasty oak and chewy cherry, venturing into black cherry, blackberry and root beer. It’s amply structured and robust, yet with silky tannins. 2012 Sine Qua Non "Rattrapante - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Sine Qua Non "Rattrapante - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (100RP, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A perfect wine any way you look at it, the 2012 Grenache Rattrapante comes all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and spent 33 months in 27% new French oak. My notes start - and end - with “Wow.” Giving up tons of black raspberries, peppery herbs, licorice, dried flowers and cured meats, it’s a massively concentrated, rich and layered Grenache that somehow manages to stay graceful, lively and fresh on the palate. There are roughly 800 cases of this elixir and any Grenache lover should do their best to latch onto a bottle (or two). It’s also worth noting that this cuvee saw 26% whole clusters, which is a small change from past vintages. (JD)" (08/2016)

2006 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2006 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Bordeaux Blend (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 2200 cases of the 2006 Red Wine, a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, and the balance Petit Verdot and Malbec. While not at the quality level of the top wines, it is a fine introduction to the house style at a very fair price. Dark ruby-colored, it displays a bouquet of cigar box, pencil lead, violets, black currant, and a hint of licorice. Medium to full-bodied, intensely fruited, and with enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years, this lengthy effort will drink well from 2011 to 2018. (JM)" (10/2009)

2004 Bond "St. Eden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Bond "St. Eden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 96WE, 93AG, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon St. Eden, which comes from a valley floor vineyard in Oakville, is another dead ringer for a great Pauillac, possibly a young Mouton. Dense bluish/purple in color with stunning notes of cedarwood, unsmoked high-quality cigar tobacco, creme de cassis and espresso roast, this wine has fabulous fruit, density and a full-bodied, youthful mouthfeel, wonderful balance and purity, and a terrific finish that goes on for close to a minute. This is also relatively open, but slightly more structured than the Melbury. There’s no sense deferring gratification, so I would suggest drinking it over the next 15-20 years, possibly longer. Lots of forest floor, underbrush, cola and red and black currant characteristics are present in this more evolved yet surprisingly powerful and dense 2011.
