2010 Pavie, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Pavie, St-Emilion (100RP, 98JS, (94-97WS), 95ST, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "What fun, excitement and joy it will be to compare the four perfect wines Perse has made in 2005, 2009, 2010 and, of course, the 2000, in 25 or so years. This wine is truly profound Bordeaux. Everything is in place - remarkable concentration and a beautiful nose of cedar and ripe blackcurrant and blackberry with some kirsch and spice box in the background. Lavishly rich, with slightly more structure and delineation than the more Rabelaisian 2009, this wine does show some serious tannins in the finish, and comes across as incredibly youthful. Of course, it's five years old, but it tastes more like a just-bottled barrel sample than a 2010. In any event, this wine is set for a long, long life and should be forgotten for at least another decade. Consume it over the following 75 or more years." (08/2016)

1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (100JS, 100RP, 98ST, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine remains one of the legends of Bordeaux. It has thrown off the backward, youthful style that existed during its first 25 years of life, and over the last 4-5 years has developed such secondary nuances as cedar and spice box. The creme de cassis, underlying floral note, full-bodied power, extraordinary purity, multilayered texture, and finish of over a minute are a showcase for what this Chateau accomplished in 1982. The wine is still amazingly youthful, vibrant, and pure. It appears capable of remaining fruity and vibrant in 2082! Thank God it is beginning to budge, as I would like to drink most of my supply before I kick the bucket. This is a great, still youthful wine, and, on occasion, one does understand the hierarchy of Bordeaux chateaux when you see the complexity and brilliance of this first-growth. (RP)" (06/2009)

1999 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (95RP, 94WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1999 Lafite Rothschild sports an engraved '1999' on the bottle along with an eclipse to mark that significant historical event of August, 1999. It is a quintessential offering from Lafite Rothschild. This prodigious wine is both elegant and intensely flavored, and almost diaphanous in its layers that unfold with no heaviness. An opaque ruby/purple color is accompanied by a complex bouquet of lead pencil, graphite, cedar, creme de cassis, toast, and vanilla. It is medium-bodied, with extravagant layers of richness yet little weight, and a finish that is all sweetness, ripeness, and harmony. This extraordinary Lafite increasingly appears to be a modern day clone of the majestic 1953. A mere one-third of the crop made it into the grand vin! Anticipated maturity: 2007-2030. Bid on this magnum lot of 2002 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée-St-Vivant Grand Cru (1.5L) (95VN, 95WS). Wine Spectator: "Less forthcoming, the RSV delivers floral, cherry, fraises de bois and spice aromas and flavors. Combines finesse and power, with great persistence of fruit showing on the finish. Keeps getting better as the vines get older. (BS, Web Only-2012)"

2010 Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin Grand Cru (98BH, 98ST, (95-97RP)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium red, a bit less saturated than the Clos de Beze. Pungent aromas of wild red berries, smoke, earth, iron and wild herbs. Almost shockingly silky in the mouth, but with crushed-stone minerality lending force to the blackberry, licorice and earth flavors. Incredibly sappy but edge-free wine with an explosive, endless finish that titillates the salivary glands. Longer than the Clos de Beze but that wine is a bit sweeter today, with darker, more exotic flavors. This Chambertin is not yet showing its flesh but if it puts on weight with extended bottle aging, which I expect it to do, it may eventually merit a perfect score. A monument of the vintage. 98+ (ST)" (03/2013)

Wine Spectator: "Complex, fragrant aromas of sandalwood, jasmine and black cherry, with flavors to match, converge in this tightly grained, muscular red. Detailed and pure, showing balance and energy. The lingering finish promises the full potential, leading to a long sweet fruit and mineral aftertaste. Best from 2016 through 2036. *Collectibles* (BS)" (06/2012)

James Suckling: "Glorious purity of fruit here with blackcurrants, blueberries, dark chocolate, fresh herbs and forest floor. Hints of mint. Full body, seamless tannins and wonderful balance. Tight and compacted tannins with beautiful fruit and great length. Hazelnut and chocolate. Goes on for minutes. One of the best Opus in years. Compacted and beautiful. 1962 d'Yquem, Sauternes
Bid on this bottle of 1962 d'Yquem, Sauternes (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the Fine Wine Experience 1962 Bordeaux horizontal. Moderate Clear lucid gold with green tints. The nose is very elegant and well defined, touches of wet wool, honey, wood resin and barley sugar (a la Barsac). I wish it had more vigour and complexity, for it is rather overwhelmed by the Coutet and the Suduiraut. The palate is far better than the nose with a lovely creamy, harmonious texture with perfect acidity and balance. Citrus peel, fresh ginger, dried apricot, ginger and orange sorbet with noticeable residual sugar on the finish. This is probably an underrated Yquem given market prices, but the modest nose means I must temper my appraisal. (NM)" (11/2010)

2010 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A remarkable wine, the 2010 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select has gone from strength to strength since it was in cask. It is stunningly rich, with classic, fragrant notes of blackcurrants, blackberries, vanilla, graphite and spring flowers. It exhibits an opaque purple color, with a full-bodied, massive mouthfeel, but no heaviness, and again, a flawless integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood. It’s classic California Cabernet, but beautifully put together, showing impeccable craftsmanship and fabulous potential. This is obviously a very young, infantile style of Cabernet that won’t hit its prime for at least another decade and last close to half a century, based on how older vintages that were less well-endowed have matured from Shafer. Deep, superripe aromas of dark berries, black cherry and bitter chocolate; slightly exotic crystallized fruit aspect. Dense, sweet and wonderfully rich; a lovely combination of palate-caressing chocolatey fruit and firm underlying structure. Finishes with excellent grip and great palate-saturating sweetness. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The spectacular 2003 Leoville Poyferre exhibits a dense purple color with a touch of lightening at the edge as well as notes of creosote, barbecue smoke, jammy black currants, licorice and spice box. This intense, voluptuously textured, full-bodied St.-Julien possesses low acidity and ripe tannin. Still fresh and exuberant, it is just entering its plateau of full maturity where it should remain for 10-15+ years. (RP)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine Sylvain Cathiard Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Aux Malconsorts" ((93-95RP), 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the Domaine. A broody, much more introspective nose here but with stunning clarity: dark cherries, blueberry and boysenberry. The palate is supremely well-balanced, real sophistication here from start to finish, yet sullen and not wanting to give anything away yet. Great depth, real vanillary sweetness from the oak towards the finish but there is the fruit to back that up. One of the few 2007s that should bunker down. Wonderful. Drink 2014-2025. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Faiveley Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru ((93-96BH), (92-95ST), 95WE, 94WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A very deeply pitched nose that displays fresh red and dark berry fruit and floral aromas along with notes of the sauvage that continue over to the serious and very solidly structured big-bodied flavors. This is an impressively scaled wine yet the supporting tannins are relatively fine though quite dense and as such, the overall impression is one of robust power even if it is refined in its delivery. This is going to require a long cellar stay but it should be magnificent when it finally emerges." (01/2012)

1992 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L) (OWC)
Bid on this 3L-bottle lot of 1992 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L) (99RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The year 1992 was the second most abundant year for Spottswoode, producing 5,713 cases, with the final blend 6% Cabernet Franc and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon. This was a classic Napa vintage with abundant fruit and high yields. Spottswoode made a magnificent example. With a dark ruby/purple/garnet-colored wine to the rim, this wine is stunningly rich, with floral-infused blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, a hint of chocolate and toast. Terrific aromatics are followed by an equally impressive full-bodied wine, with stunningly sweet, velvety tannins, enormous fruit and stature, and a long, long finish. This is brilliant and still somewhat of a late adolescent with at least 20 years of further drinking ahead of it. (RP)" (08/2016)

Aromas of iodine, oyster shell, currants and orange peel are evident. Of the 2013 Maybach Family "Amoenus" Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Amoenus comes from a completely different terroir, a western hillside vineyard near Calistoga that averages 10-15 degrees cooler than the eastern part of the valley in what is known as the Black Mountain Gap. The wine shows incredible minerality, beautiful notes of forest floor, floral scents, blackcurrant liqueur, licorice and graphite. The wine is dense, full-bodied and seems even more backward and broodingly powerful than the Materium. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is a long-distance runner that should age beautifully for 30-40 years. Production of this is much less, usually averaging under 30

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 performed spectacularly and the good news is that 1,200-1,300 cases were produced. Showing better than it did in its infancy, this blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot has an inky purple color as well as notes of lead pencil shavings and scorched earth that resemble a great Graves, blackberry and creme de cassis fruit, licorice and subtle smoky barbecue. It also reveals a full-bodied texture, stunning concentration and beautiful richness. This is the only time the Kapcsandys made this particular blend and it certainly is performing incredibly well at age ten. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98RP, 95VN, 93WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The wild man of Napa Valley, Jayson Woodbridge, has turned out one of the superstars of 2004, with the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Kayli Morgan. His wines always tend to be gorgeous young, offering up an impression that they’re not going to last. But his first vintage, 2000, seems to get better and better, even though it was spectacular when released. The 2004, which was harvested in September, shows an almost Pomerol-like sweet mocha, kirsch, black currant and deeply fruited mouthfeel. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, but the clay soils of his vineyard seem to give a sweetness of tannin and a voluptuous character to the texture. This wine oozes rich, concentrated fruit, is light on its feet and has gorgeous purity, a multidimensional mouthfeel and a stunning finish. Rich and broad with sweeter tannins than one expects in a ten-year-old Dunn Cabernet, it reveals impressive richness, power and purity, but is still an adolescent in terms of its evolution. This blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc was aged in 67% new French oak for 21 months. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The crown jewel is the 2012 Romanee-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru that comes from the 0.50-hectare slither planted in 1922. It already boasts an enticing bouquet laden with luscious dark cherry and creme de cassis fruit, stupendous mineralite and exotic touches of blood orange and marmalade. The palate is silky smooth with razor-sharp tannins, once again superb mineralite and a sleek, sensual, quite piercing sorbet-fresh finish that lingers in the mouth much longer than the Clos de Vougeot. This is a sophisticated, modern take on the grand cru, one with panache and oozing class. (NM)" (12/2013)

2004 Sloan Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC)
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Sloan Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 98RP, 96WS, 92VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Sloan’s spectacular inky/purple/garnet color is followed by notes of high quality espresso roast, chocolate, black currants, truffles and a striking minerality. Full-bodied and super-rich with that roasted character that one finds in Cote Rotie and some of the great Haut-Brions from Pessac-Leognan, this full-bodied, rich 2004 is a super-star of the vintage. Although the tannins are elevated, they are extremely sweet and well-integrated. This spectacular 2004 is performing even better now than it did following bottling. It is also one of the more developed and evolved vintages of Sloan, no doubt because that was the nature of the 2004 vintage. Drink it now and over the next two decades. (RP)" (04/2014)

2000 Talbot, St-Julien
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2000 Talbot, St-Julien (93JS, 93RP, (89-91VN), 91WE, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This was a strong performance (better than my original notes suggested) by the 2000 Talbot. Close to full maturity, it exhibits a dense ruby/plum/purple color in addition to a subtle herbaceousness intermixed with smoked meats, black currants, licorice, cedar, and foresty notes. Rich and full-bodied with light tannins, and a slightly richer, more savory, broader, deeper style than I remember, it should drink well for 10-15 years. (RP)" (06/2010)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2000 Smith-Haut-Lafitte Rouge, Pessac-Léognan (95RP, 93W&S, 93WE, 91WS, 90JS, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One can’t say enough about this winery, which may still fly under the radar of most consumers. The fully mature 2000 displays gorgeous aromas of camphor, lead pencil shavings, unsmoked tobacco, plums, and black currants. With full body, a velvety texture, and beautiful weight, richness, and length, this superb wine should evolve, possibly improve for another 15 years. It’s a beauty! (RP)" (06/2010)

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2001 Lagrange, St-Julien (OWC - 92RP, 90ST, 90WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at Bordeaux Index’s 10-Year On horizontal. The Lagrange ’01 is your quintessential Saint Julien wine with blackberry, cedar, cigar box and a touch of smoke. Very focused with great penetration. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins, superb balanced with a superb cedar and tobacco tinged finish supported by ample red fruits. Great length, just a wine you want to drink (although it should keep for another decade.) Tasted March 2011. (NM)" (05/2011)

2013 Coche Dury Meursault
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2013 Coche Dury Meursault (92RP, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Meursault (this the Narvaux bottling) has a straight-down-the-line, flinty/burnt match nose that we have all come know and love from this domaine. Frankly, nobody achieves the precision like this. The palate is very flattering with great volume married with fine acidity, hints of peach and tangerine, lively and vivacious with a long and tender finish that just goes on and on. This is one of those wines I'll be hunting for on restaurant lists around Burgundy. (NM)" (01/2016)

Red and black stone fruits are intermingled with spice, new leather and violets in a striking, totally seamless wine endowed with tons of nuance. Vibrant and delineated to the core, the Echezeaux is simply magnificent. (AG)" (03/2015)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine Joseph Roty Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru "Très Vieilles Vignes" (95BH, 94VN). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Once again the nose has mostly absorbed its wood treatment on the ultra-spicy, ripe and attractively fresh nose of black cherry, earth, underbrush and soft floral aromas. There is flat out incredible density to the extract rich and imposingly-scaled flavors that completely coat the palate with sap before culminating in a velvety yet superbly intense finish that seems to just go on and on. Once again though note well that plenty of patience is going to be required before this incredible beauty of a Charmes is ready to roll. This is seriously impressive." (01/2017)

2001 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95CG, 93RP, 93ST). Connoisseurs Guide: "Pahlmeyer's wines can always be counted on for depth and drama, and this dazzling effort succeeds handsomely. Making fine use of rich oak spice, it is charged by wholly compelling fruit from front to back and, if very ripe, stays true to type throughout. Weight on the palate, it finds plenty of structure from its well-integrated tannins, and, if it is sufficiently fruity to be enjoyable now, it strikes us as a wine that will grow spectacularly for years to come." Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Cayuse "Bionic Frog" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (OCB - 97RP, 96VN, 95WE, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The only wine to see partial aging in foudre (20% new), the 2013 Syrah Bionic Frog has an almost Burgundian flair in its forest floor, olive brine, smoked earth, dried flower and darker fruit-styled personality. One of the more streamlined, elegant examples of this cuvee, it still has a serious, lengthy feel, full-bodied richness and building underlying structure that makes me think 3-5 years of cellaring are warranted. 2011 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94VN, 90RP). Vinous: "The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon M. Etain is fabulous. Dark raspberries, flowers, tobacco, mint and rose petals all meld together in a long, soulful wine loaded with personality. Today the tannins are a bit firm, but that should not be an issue in another few years, once the wine has come together a little more fully. Today the 2011 M. Etain is absolutely singing. That is a second wine is virtually incomprehensible. (AG)" (11/2013)

Connoisseurs Guide: "This comparatively polished, fully developed wine is both open and well-appointed with fruit at this point. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine J-F Mugnier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Fuées" (92BH, 92RP, 91JG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuees impresses for its superb textural richness. Dark red cherries, flowers, mint and spices are woven together in a fabric of notable beauty. There is plenty of tannic material, but the fruit is so dense the wine’s structural elements are a bit in the background. The wine continued to close down in the glass, which is likely to be quite positive for its aging potential. Despite the massive temptation to drink this early, my impression is that patience will be rewarded. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029. (AG)" (04/2012)

Bid on this magnum lot of 2005 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Vaulorent (1.5L) in original wood. Neal Martin writes: "Head winemaker Didier Séguier has steered this important Chablis producer, part of the Henriot group, since its acquisition in 1998. Previously he worked as assistant winemaker at Bouchard Père & Fils, so he already had experience under his belt, steering what was then a very oaky style of Chablis to one that was much more terroir driven and for want of a better word, just more 'Chablis.'"
