Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Grown (2,150 cases of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc) is spectacular. An inky/purple color is accompanied by aromas of espresso roast, melted fudge, blackberries, currants, and smoke. Rich, with great intensity, tremendous purity, an opulent, full-bodied mouthfeel, and good underlying tannin as well as freshness. (RP)" (12/2003)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Produced from vines ranging from 20 to 45 years old, this wine is a splendid Nuits. Its deep cherry scents are intertwined with cookie dough aromas. Its character explodes on the palate with sumptuously ripe cherries, raspberries, and traces of minerals. This expressive, medium-to-full-bodied, and gorgeously pure wine has loads of supple tannins in its long and persistent finish. (PR)" (08/1998)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1995 Domaine l'Arlot Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Clos des Forets St. Georges". Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good bright medium-red. Black cherry, black raspberry, mocha, leather, licorice and a mineral note on the nose. The fullest of these '95s, with lovely sweetness and noteworthy complexity. Seems unusually expressive at this stage, yet possesses the tannic structure for medium-term aging even if it lacks the thrust of the best '95s. (ST)" (03/1998)

Though supple, it's more on the wild, feral side, with an incredibly long finish. Best from 2012 through 2025. (BS)" (05/2005)

Of the 2004 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2004 Syrah Reva is classic in style, with its iodine, olive and salty, marine-like character front and center. Coming from the gravelly, sandy clay loam soils on the estate, it shows more textbook Syrah character with air (very northern Rhone-like) and has first rate complexity, gorgeous dark fruit and brilliant overall purity. Showing almost no evolution, with full-bodied richness, fine tannin and a balanced, fresh and lengthy profile, it will continue to drink beautifully for another decade or more. (JD)" (04/2014)

Of the 1997 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "An inky/plum/purple color is accompanied by a stunning bouquet of violets, charcoal, creme de cassis and a hint of toast. Prodigious when it hits the palate with a full-bodied expansiveness, there is not a hard edge to be found in the 1997, only velvety tannins, compelling depth and fruit intensity, and stunning purity. It is a perfect expression of Napa viticulture and wine that should continue to age effortlessly for two decades or more. (RP)" (11/2013)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Cayuse "Bionic Frog" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (99RP, 96WE, 95VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "While a lot of the 2012s came in near the bottom of the barrel score, that wasn't the case with the 2012 Syrah Bionic Frog and this beauty flirts with perfection. Inky colored and purple to the rim, it offers extraordinary notes of black fruits, wild mushrooms, smoked earth and salty minerality. These all flow to a full-bodied, thrillingly concentrated, focused, structured and lengthy 2012 that needs 4-5 years of cellaring, and will knock your socks off over the following 15 years or more. 2010 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2010 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (100RP, 99VN, 98JS, 95ST, 95WE, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A remarkable wine, the 2010 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select has gone from strength to strength since it was in cask. It is stunningly rich, with classic, fragrant notes of blackcurrants, blackberries, vanilla, graphite and spring flowers. It exhibits an opaque purple color, with a full-bodied, massive mouthfeel, but no heaviness, and again, a flawless integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood. It’s classic California Cabernet, but beautifully put together, showing impeccable craftsmanship and fabulous potential. This is obviously a very young, infantile style of Cabernet that won’t hit its prime for at least another decade and last close to half a century, based on how older vintages that were less well-endowed have matured from Shafer. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A compelling example of this noble terroir in the northeastern sector of Napa Valley, the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard still has a dense purple color and possesses a seamless personality with spectacular notes of licorice, incense, black raspberries, black currants, crushed rock, and spring flowers. Stunningly full-bodied, multi-layered, with great purity and expression, this fabulous wine is still youthful but very accessible, as the tannins are velvety and well-integrated. This wine will keep aging beautifully for a minimum of another quarter century. Bravo! (RP)" (06/2011)

1965 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1965 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac. One of the rarest vintages, the 1965 Mouton Rothschild features the artwork of Dorothea Tanning. Mouton Rothschild, always in the forefront of the greatest wines of Bordeaux, was the first estate to begin complete château-bottling of their harvest--a historic step initiated in 1924 by the late Philippe de Rothschild. It is the only château in the Classification of 1855 to achieve reclassification. In 1973, it was finally moved from a second growth to a first.

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1985 Charles Heidsieck "Champagne Charlie" Brut (93W&S, 92WS, 91WE). It feels powerful and dynamic, fully mature but still holding a lively edge of youth that makes the superrich flavors a little wild. A satisfying older Champagne to enjoy with plump, wood-roasted oysters or braised veal." (12/2006)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The nose gives intense toasty, biscuity notes with an underlying fruit character of warm strawberries, golden delicious apple slices, oyster shells and chalk dust. Very crisp, fine, youthful and fresh in the mouth, the finish provides layers of minerals, citrus fruits and a pleasant creaminess in texture and flavour. (LPB)" (05/2011)

2012 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((93-95ST), 93RP, 93VN). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright medium ruby. Medicinal aromas of blue fruits, minerals, and spices, lifted by an herbal nuance. Rich and dense but with a powerful spine of acidity giving terrific cut to the black fruit and spice flavors. Extremely primary, energetic wine with surprisingly suave tannins for its size and outstanding savory persistence. It's hardly surprising that Bo Barrett plans to bottle this vintage late--probably not until the end of the year. This should evolve in bottle for 20 years or more. (ST)" (05/2014)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Anderson’s Conn Valley Vineyard "Signature" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((92-94RP), 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is less evolved, but very concentrated and “locked and loaded.” Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by sweet aromas and flavors of crème de cassis, good acidity, beautiful purity and a full-bodied mouthfeel. It is not terribly dissimilar from the Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, but seems slightly more backward and possibly more concentrated. This should be a 25-year Cabernet Sauvignon when released. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2005 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 97W&S, 96VN, 94ST, 93CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "While in a good year there's normally 4,000 cases of the Monte Bello, there was a scant 2,200 cases produced of the 2005 Monte Bello. Thick, massive, and concentrated with ample currants, lead pencil, licorice and chocolate aromas and flavors, this full-bodied beauty is just now at the early stages of adolescence, and has plenty of underlying tannic grip still present. It should hit full maturity in another 4-5 years and hold for 2-3 decades after that. (JD)" (10/2015)

Of the 2015 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Coming from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, block C1 planted to clone 4, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon CCS has a very pretty nose of ripe plums, black cherries and mulberries with an undercurrent of violets, licorice, marmite toast and cigar box plus a touch of aged beef. 2005 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2005 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (97RP, 96WS, 95DC, 95ST, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the Pontet-Canet vertical in London, the 2005 Château Pontet-Canet has long been one of the stars of the vintage and this might well be the best of over a dozen showings of this wine. However, do not expect ostentation on the nose. This is 2005 and like many wines of this vintage, even with considerable decanting, it remained broody and introspective on the nose, as if it is checking you out and seeing if you are worthy. Once you have been accepted, then it swings the doors open to reveal gorgeous scents of blackberry, briary and cassis fruit, perhaps a little more sous-bois than I have noticed compared to previous bottles. The palate is medium-bodied, but dense and structured—certainly a more masculine Pontet-Canet built for long-term ageing ... (NM)" (07/2016)

Rich, concentrated and very tight-knit, the medium bodied palate lend crisp acid and firm grainy tannins. The finish is very long." (06/2011)

High-toned aromas of sweet red fruits, mint and spices; the most detailed and delicate nose among the 2007s today. Wonderfully sweet without being exaggerated in any way, conveying lightly saline, soil-driven flavors of cherry, raspberry, minerals and flowers. Here the terroir speaks more loudly than the vintage. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1995 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (95RP, 94WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A wine of extraordinary intensity and accessibility, the 1995 Cos d'Estournel is a sexier, more hedonistic offering than the muscular, backward 1996. Opulent, with forward aromatics (gobs of black fruits intermixed with toasty pain grille scents and a boatload of spice), this terrific Cos possesses remarkable intensity, full body, and layers of jammy fruit nicely framed by the wine's new oak. Because of low acidity and sweet tannin, the 1995 will be difficult to resist young, although it will age for 2-3 decades. Anticipated maturity: 2001-2025. (RP)" (02/1998)

1974 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1974 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96JG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had this wine twice over a period of thirty days, rating it an astounding 99 and 98 points. A monumental California Cabernet Sauvignon, it appears to have approached its plateau of maturity but should easily last for 20-25 more years. There is no rust, amber, or brown to the saturated dark purple color. The spectacular, huge, Mouton-Rothschild-like nose of mint, cassis, lead pencil, and toast is remarkably youthful. Staggeringly concentrated, this full-bodied, super-rich wine possesses moderate tannin, fresh, lively acidity, and a blockbuster, rich, fleshy finish. This is a monumental effort! (RP)" (08/1994)

2006 Larkmead Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2006 Larkmead Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 4,400-case cuvee of 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (96% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot and Cabernet Franc) is brilliant. It would probably be hard to find a Cabernet Sauvignon of this quality with this production level, all estate fruit, and such impeccable viticulture and winemaking. This wine reminded me of a great vintage of Pontet Canet in Pauillac, Bordeaux. The deep creme de cassis flavors intermixed with charcoal and lead pencil shavings soar from the glass. Its full body, stunning ripeness, sweet tannin, and substantial flavor authority make for a brilliant Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next two decades. (RP)" (12/2008)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One can’t say enough about this winery, which may still fly under the radar of most consumers. The fully mature 2000 displays gorgeous aromas of camphor, lead pencil shavings, unsmoked tobacco, plums, and black currants. With full body, a velvety texture, and beautiful weight, richness, and length, this superb wine should evolve, possibly improve for another 15 years. It’s a beauty! (RP)" (06/2010)

2008 Shea Wine Cellars "Homer" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Shea Wine Cellars "Homer" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir (96RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The flagship of Shea Vineyards is the Homer cuvee made from a blend of the best barrels in the cellar. The 2008 Pinot Noir Homer is dark ruby/purple in color with a breath-taking, multi-dimensional aromatic array of sandalwood, Asian spices, incense, rose petal, black cherry, and black raspberry that leaps from the glass. Super-concentrated, opulent, and Reubenesque on the palate, it manages to be light on its feet and powerful at the same time. With amazing balance and precision and a finish that lasts for over a minute, it is a candidate for wine of the vintage as well as a tour de force. (JSM)" (10/2010)

2000 Léoville-Poyferré, St-Julien
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2000 Léoville-Poyferré, St-Julien (97RP, 95WS, 93JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The plushest, most ostentatious and dramatic of all the Leovilles in 2000, this wine is already sumptuous, displaying some nuances in its huge nose of vanilla bean, black chocolate, jammy black cherries, cassis, and graphite in a flamboyant style. Opulent, savory, rich, and full-bodied, it is a head-turning, prodigious wine and a complete contrast to the extracted behemoth of Leoville Barton and the backward, classic Leoville Las Cases. The Poyferre’s low acidity, sweet tannin and an already gorgeous mouthfeel make it a wine to drink now as well as over the next 25 or more years. (RP)" (06/2010)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Sine Qua Non "Touche - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (100RP, 98VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Lastly, the utterly perfect 2012 Syrah Touche reminds me of a great vintage of Guigal’s Cote Rotie La Landonne. A blend of 93% Syrah, 5% Petite Sirah and 2% Viognier, all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills, it spent 40 months in 78% new French oak. Deep, concentrated, full-bodied and layered, with a multidimensional texture and to-die-for notes of camphor, cured meats, violets, smoke and assorted dark fruits, this beauty has fine, perfectly ripe tannin and blockbuster length. Give it 3-4 years and drink over the following two decades. (JD)" (08/2016)

Wine Enthusiast: "Made in the Opus style, which is graceful, limpid and elegant, but with hidden depths of authority and power. The blackberry, cherry and oak flavors are pretty, but the wine is most notable for its harmony and grace. Tannins play only a supportive role, but they will let this wine age effortlessly for many years." (12/2004)

2009 Domaine Leroy Romanée-St-Vivant Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Domaine Leroy Romanée-St-Vivant Grand Cru (98BH, 96RP, 96WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Not surprisingly, this is completely different from the Renardes with significantly more aromatic refinement that presents itself in the form of spicy and ultra-pure floral and black fruit aromas. The equally polished flavors seem crafted from nothing other than gossamer-like pure silk that dances across the palate before terminating in a sophisticated and perfectly balanced finish. This is not as complex as the Renardes but it is so much finer and with the very, very special quality of the underlying material, this is unquestionably destined for greatness. This matches up very favorably with the 2006 Leroy RSV and it's possible that it could even surpass it." (01/2012)

1999 San Guido "Sassicaia" Bolgheri
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1999 San Guido "Sassicaia" Bolgheri (93ST, 93W&S, 92WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(85% cabernet sauvignon and 15% cabernet franc): Very deep ruby to the rim. Musky aromas of dark plum, blackcurrant and tobacco leaf. Then juicy, intense and sharply delineated, with lovely lift to the flavors of dark berries, minerals and cedar. Wonderfully balanced wine: sound acids leave an impression of great clarity and cut and a fresh, lightweight mouth feel. Finishes with silky, suave, spreading tannins and a very intense, persistent saline/mineral element. (EB)" (01/2011)

James Halliday: "Medium to full red-purple, still bright after five years, vibrant cherry and plum fruit aromas more than handle the oak on the bouquet; the palate is sumptuous, but not heavy, the cherry and plum flavours tracking the bouquet. The wine has a very long finish, with fine, integrated tannins. Destined to become one of the great Granges. *Five Stars* " (07/2011)

1991 Gentaz-Dervieux "Côte Brune Cuvée Réservée" Côte-Rôtie
Bid on this bottle of 1991 Gentaz-Dervieux "Côte Brune Cuvée Réservée" Côte-Rôtie (94VN, 90RP). Vinous: "Deep ruby-red. Penetrating, perfumed aromas of cassis, iron, leather and brown spices; here one smells the absence of new oak without picking up any suggestion of old wood. Vibrant, taut and high in acidity; violet and pepper flavors are just beginning to evolve. Has a truly noble rusticity. The tannins are extremely fine. A classic example of a Cote Rotie made from the petit serine - the "real" syrah that has been largely supplanted by clonal selections since World War II. A wine of great finesse. Marius Gentaz, alas, retired in 1993. (ST) 94+" (11/1998)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Domaine Coche-Dury Meursault (92RP, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Meursault (this the Narvaux bottling) has a straight-down-the-line, flinty/burnt match nose that we have all come know and love from this domaine. Frankly, nobody achieves the precision like this. The palate is very flattering with great volume married with fine acidity, hints of peach and tangerine, lively and vivacious with a long and tender finish that just goes on and on. This is one of those wines I'll be hunting for on restaurant lists around Burgundy. (NM)" (01/2016)

1993 Gentaz-Dervieux "Côte Brune - Cuvée Réservée" Côte-Rôtie
Bid on this bottle of 1993 Gentaz-Dervieux "Côte Brune - Cuvée Réservée" Côte-Rôtie (93JG). John Gilman: " ... The utterly classic nose soars from the glass in a vibrant blend of raspberries, spiced meats, a stunningly complex base of stony soil tones, lavender, nutskins, a touch of cocoa powder and some undefined savory elements that are emerging from the stems. On the palate the wine is deep, fullish, pure and beautifully soil-driven, with a lovely core, moderate tannins, perfect focus and balance and a very long, complex and intensely flavored finish. There is not the same mid-palate concentration here as is found in superior vintages such as 1991 or 1983, but this is an absolutely complete vintage for Monsieur Gentaz and a breathtakingly beautiful wine. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (96RP, 95WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "It is fun to go back and forth between the 1995 and 1996, two superb vintages for Haut-Brion. The 1995 seems to have sweeter tannin and a bit more fat and seamlessness when compared to the more structured and muscular 1996. Certainly 1995 was a vintage that the brilliant administrator Jean Delmas handled flawlessly. The result is a deep ruby/purple-colored wine with a tight but promising nose of burning wood embers intermixed with vanilla, spice box, earth, mineral, sweet cherry, black currant, plum-like fruit, medium to full body, a high level of ripe but sweet tannin, and a finish that goes on for a good 40-45 seconds. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100RP, 97VN, 95WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, including fruit from some of the oldest Cabernet vines still in existence in Napa. This full-bodied classic displays notes of forest floor, earth, crème de cassis, blackberry liqueur, licorice and some pen ink. It is dense, full-bodied, prodigiously rich, massive in intensity, yet relatively light on its feet. This great ballerina of a wine has extraordinary ripeness but pulls back from the edge before going over the top. There are 1,000 cases of this classic, which should age effortlessly for 30+ years.
