2013 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée St. Vivant Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2013 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée St. Vivant Grand Cru ((95-97RP), 94VN, 93BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: ""Il y a deux visages," commented Aubert de Villaine, as he tasted the 2013 Romanée-Saint-Vivant, his own poetic way of observing the duality of this wine, both elegant and yet so intense. We tasted from two barrels. The first had an exquisite and very expressive bouquet with stunning tension and transparency, in my mind a clear level up from the Grands Echézeaux. The palate already has the florality and femininity of a this Grand Cru, but with the backbone one might discern in a Richebourg. The finish is extraordinarily long, while a second barrel from the warmer part of the cellar showed more opulence on the nose and even a hint of viscosity on the finish. It will be fascinating to reexamine this "Janus" once in bottle. (NM)" (12/2014)

2003 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (96WE, 95RP, 93W&S, 93WS, 92CG). Wine Enthusiast: "Solidly in the Hillside Select model, this vigorous young Cab is dramatically ripe and powerful. The flavors of red and black currants, milk chocolate, figs and smoky vanilla erupt in the mouth, making the tastebuds jump with joy. However, there is also the structure, among the greatest in California Cabs. The acidity is fine, but the tannins are stupendously rich, sweet and complex, practically a food group in themselves. *Best of 2008, Cellar Selection*" (03/2008)

2014 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96VN, 94WE, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is another tour de force from this estate that's reminiscent of first growth Bordeaux from a vintage like 2009. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in new barrels, it offers incredible notes of blackcurrants, graphite, lead pencil shavings and crushed rocks in a full-bodied, decadent, insanely layered and seamless style. This beauty possesses ultra-fine tannin, no hard edges and a forward, already hard to resist style, yet it's going to keep for more than two decades. (JD)" (06/2017)

2015 Sine Qua Non "Entre Chien et Loup'' White Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Sine Qua Non "Entre Chien et Loup'' White Blend (97JD, 97RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Entre Chien et Loup is a blend of 44% Chardonnay, 40% Roussanne, 8% Petit Manseng and 8% Viognier coming 44% from Bien Nacido Vineyard, 30% from the Cumulus (Estate) Vineyard and 26% from the Eleven Confessions (Estate) Vineyard. No settling was done to the juices—they were fermented as 'dirty' as possible and, as usual, they were not racked. This wine was matured for around 19 months (bottled April 12, 2017), in: 19% concrete eggs, 20% stainless steel, 20% used barrels and 41% new French oak. It opens with a positively electric nose of ripe apricots, pink grapefruit and green mango with notions of candied ginger, honeycomb, allspice and baking bread. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a wonderfully satiny texture and incredible freshness, cutting through the dense tropical and stone fruit layers, finishing with epic length and many layers of

1974 Robert Mondavi Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1974 Robert Mondavi Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93VN). Vinous: "Medium red. Sexy ripe aromas of plum, prune and dates are accented by cedar, eucalyptus and caraway seed. At once penetrating and suave on the palate, conveying a fine-grained texture and terrific energy for a 42-year-old Cabernet. Finishes with perfectly integrated, ripe tannins and lovely length and verve. Very sexy juice with considerable class. It strikes me that a bottle of this wine could not possibly cause a hangover. 1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (100JS, 100RP, 98ST, 98WS, 97DC). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine remains one of the legends of Bordeaux. It has thrown off the backward, youthful style that existed during its first 25 years of life, and over the last 4-5 years has developed such secondary nuances as cedar and spice box. The creme de cassis, underlying floral note, full-bodied power, extraordinary purity, multilayered texture, and finish of over a minute are a showcase for what this Chateau accomplished in 1982. The wine is still amazingly youthful, vibrant, and pure. It appears capable of remaining fruity and vibrant in 2082! Thank God it is beginning to budge, as I would like to drink most of my supply before I kick the bucket. This is a great, still youthful wine, and, on occasion, one does understand the hierarchy of Bordeaux chateaux when you see the complexity and brilliance of this first-growth. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Kistler "Kistler Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94ST, 93RP, 93WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Vivid red. Drop-dead gorgeous perfume of raspberry preserves, Asian spices and fresh rose, with a deeper suggestion of violet. Sappy, penetrating and pure, with strikingly intense red fruit flavors underpinned by tangy minerality. Finishes with resonating spiciness and a lingering floral note. Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2003 Merry Edwards "Meredith Estate" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (1.5L) (91WE). Wine Enthusiast: "After years of buying grapes, Merry Edwards finally has her own vineyard in the Sonoma Coast. This young wine is high in acidity that offsets the ripe red and black cherry, mocha, cola and cinnamon spice flavors. It’s elegant and complex now, and changes as it warms and breathes in the glass. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Kistler "Trenton Roadhouse" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (94RP, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Kistler’s 2010 Chardonnay Trenton Roadhouse is one of the bigger, richer wines in this lineup, but at the same time, there is a huge center of minerality running in the fruit. Orange blossoms, nectarines and tropical all make an appearance in this striking, totally exciting Chardonnay. At times, the Trenton Roadhouse appears to have the structure and frame of a red wine, yet all the elements are in the right place. The 2010 is a wonderfully complete, exciting wine from Steve Kistler. (AG)" (04/2013)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Williams Selyem "Allen Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (96WE). Wine Enthusiast: "*Editors' Choice* A perennial standout for good reason, this Pinot is light in color and elusive at first. Teasing in baked strawberry-rhubarb, it subtly offers a rare purity of focused fruit flavor, with gorgeous aromas of dewy rose petals playing a substantial supporting role. Thanks to subtle oak, the finish builds in terms of intensity, with the wine maintaining a delicate balance of minerality. " (03/2015)

Musky aromas of chamomile, pear skin, anise and iodine, with suave floral and gingerbread notes emerging with aeration. Juicy and broad on entry, then a bit tighter in the middle, offering densely packed orchard fruit flavors and notes of smoke and honeysuckle. More powerful than the Horseshoe but no less animated. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Kosta Browne "Keefer Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95CG, 93ST, 91VN, 91WS). Connoisseurs Guide: "We have often found a singular and very identifiable purity to the fruit of Russian River's best Pinot sites, and this lovely version from Keefer Ranch is perfect example of just that. It is optimally ripened and very rich right from the first with a long and very deep complement of juicy, red-cherry fruit, and its teasing suggestions of sweet oak and dried flowers only make a good thing even better. It manages to be lively and lithe and fairly substantial all at once, and its lengthy, amazingly vital finish further marks it as a decidedly collectable wine that vies with the very best of the vintage." Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Tor Kenward "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JS, 96RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of my highest ratings goes to the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard. Super sweet notes of white chocolate, crème de cassis, lead pencil shavings, licorice and cedarwood along with baking spices soar from the glass of this first-growth look-alike from Tor Kenward. Everyone who uses this fabulous vineyard seems to create something extra special. With superb intensity, a full-bodied mouthfeel and incredible purity, texture and depth, this classic from Napa should drink well for 20-25 years. 2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (97RP, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming all from Manfred's Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and a blend of 77% Grenache, 22% Syrah and 1% Viognier (fermented with 25% whole clusters), the 2011 Grenache Patine spent a full 33 months in almost all neutral oak, with just 11% being new. It offers perfumed and spice-laced notes of white pepper, black raspberry, blackberry and ground herbs that flow to a full-bodied, elegant, nicely concentrated 2011 that has nicely integrated acidity, no hard edges and a terrific finish. It's certainly one of the fresher, more elegant Grenaches from Manfred, yet it still has rocking levels of fruit. Give it 2-3 years of cellaring and enjoy bottles over the following decade. 2013 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 James Berry Vineyard Proprietary Red is made from 45% Grenache, 29% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah and 8% Counoise (which Justin commented was a blend that was put together relatively late). It saw a big chunk of whole cluster (the Grenache was mostly destemmed though) and was brought up all in puncheons and foudre (the normal concrete component went to the Rocket Block). It offers up gorgeous notes of black raspberries, cherries, cassis, ground herbs and flowers. This beauty hits the palate with incredible purity, fine tannin and an overriding sense of elegance and finesse, backed up by full-bodied richness and depth. It needs to be forgotten for 3-4 years and it will drink beautifully through 2028. (JD)" (08/2016)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the smallest crops to be included in the Ridge Monte Bello, only 32% of the production made it into the 2003, which is largely Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and the rest Merlot and Petit Verdot. Out of barrel as well as post-bottling I liked this wine a lot, and it has changed very little from when I last tasted it in February, 2010. Bid on this half-bottle of 1987 d'Yquem, Sauternes (375ml) ((89-91RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "First tasted at Chateau Lynch-Moussas. A deep greeny/gold colour. It is a little disappointing on the nose, even for this moderate Sauternes vintage. A touch of orange-blossom and acacia - quite linear. The palate is much better. Not a great deal of botrytis but lovely reach waxy peach and apricot. Good acidity - quite spicy on the finish. Does not have the sophistication of great Yquem's but it is still an enjoyable wine. Drink now and 5-8 years. Then at the Yquem vertical in November 2004. A relatively pale, slight green colour. The nose is clean and fresh with simple honey and apricot with a bit of orange-blossom. A blast of dark fruit hits the palate as this immediate, juicy wine shows off its open, accessible personality. As good as this is, it doesn’t have the polish of the best wines here. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025. Mike and Leah Smith’s Myriad Cellars is an up and coming winery worth keeping an eye on. Mike Smith also makes the wines at Carter. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Glaetzer "Amon-Ra" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (98JD, 96RP, 95WE, 92WS). The wine offers fresh, clean aromatics of peppered blackberry and raspberry fruit, bramble, licorice and cedar. A touch of chocolate creeps in with air. Of the 2005 Mollydooker "Carnival of Love" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Deep garnet-brick colored, the 2005 Carnival of Love displays a more earthy, meaty, gamey character with plenty of coffee and damp loam aromas fused with smoked bacon, some iron ore, Chinese plums, a little floral note and even a bit of truffles character coming through. It is very rich and full-bodied, with the acid line standing out a little from the very concentrated and quite evolved fruit core. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Kistler "Cuvée Elizabeth-Bodega Headlands" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir ((96-98RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Bordering on perfection, the 2004 Pinot Noir Bodega Headlands (from Kistler’s new vineyard planted on the Sonoma Coast) offers up sweet plum, forest floor, and violet scents along with a La Tache-like, ethereal, floral, and black raspberry-like character. This prodigious, deep ruby/purple-colored Pinot possesses fabulous concentration as well as a layered, multidimensional palate, wonderful fruit, sweet tannin, and good acidity. It should age beautifully for 10-12 years. Interestingly, Steve Kistler planted this vineyard with the old Calera clone, which is rumored to be a suitcase clone pulled out of the Domaine de la Romanee-Conti grand cru vineyards. Bid on this magnum of 2012 Saxum "Paderewski Vineyard" Paso Robles Red Blend (1.5L) (96RP, 93WS, 92ST, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Surprisingly tannic and structured for a wine that’s normally the most approachable and sexy, the 2012 Paderewski Vineyard checks in as a blend of 45% Zinfandel, 36% Mourvedre, 12% Tempranillo and 7% Petite Sirah. It possesses the classic chalky minerality of the vineyard to go with exotic perfumed notes of black raspberry, plums, brambly underbrush and assorted background meatiness. This all flows to a full-bodied, elegant and polished wine that has solid mid-palate depth and chewy, firm tannin on the finish. Jeb Dunnuck: "Close to my 12th bottle of the 2003 Domaine du Pégaü Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée and this was one of the more tight and compact bottles. 2003 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 94WE, 93WS, 92CG, 91VN, 90W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In contrast, the 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is an equal part blend of Napa and Sonoma fruit. There is no doubting the Cabernet Sauvignon in this wine! Classic notes of cedarwood, underbrush, licorice, black currants and tobacco leaf are textbook definitions of this varietal. The color is even denser than the Reserve Claret's, and the bouquet offers additional notes of Chinese black tea. Elegant with great acid as well as stunning concentration, richness and a full-bodied mouthfeel, this is another world-class effort that pushes the envelope toward perfection. It is a remarkable success for the vintage, partly due to the fact that the extremes of weather experienced on the valley floor were less problematic for these high altitude sites. (RP)" (06/2013)

Armand de Brignac "Ace of Spades" Brut Champagne
Bid on this bottle of Armand de Brignac "Ace of Spades" Brut Champagne (95DC, 93RP, 91WE, 91WS). Decanter: "This is a three-way assemblage: three grape varieties – and equal percentage of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with 20% of Pinot Meunier – and a blend of 3 vintages, 2009, 2010 and 2012. The nose is full of flavours and rich with notes of white flowers and crème patissière. However, the palate is crisp, fresh and delicate with a lovely creamy texture. It is elegant, refined and very stylish (unlike the bottle!). It’s a pleasant combination of power and concentration blended with finesse and elegance. While the dosage is 9g/l, it feels much drier, more like a 5g/l and this probably due to the spinal cord of acidity. (CG)" (11/2016)

James Suckling: "I believe that the 2005 DP is the best since 2002, which remains the best recent vintage and is probably only eclipsed by the amazing 100-point 1996. The 2005 is a full-bodied DP with so much richness and loads of ripe fruit such as pineapple and papaya. It has a wonderful, creamy texture and a long and intense finish. It’s a Champagne that fully satisfies but at the same time challenges you with its strength, depth and persistence on the palate." (07/2015)
