2000 Clerc-Milon, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Clerc-Milon, Pauillac (92JS, 92RP, 91ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A beautiful wine and one of my favorites from this estate, this blend of nearly two-thirds Cabernet Sauvignon and one-third Merlot is aging impressively. Dense ruby/purple in color, with creme de cassis, charcoal, and sweet leathery and chocolatey notes intermixed with the classic Pauillac cedar and spice box, the wine is medium to full-bodied, fleshy, with sweet tannin and a long finish. 2013 Sine Qua Non "Jusqu' à l'os" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Sine Qua Non "Jusqu' à l'os" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (100RP, 98JD, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Grenache Jusqu' a l'os was produced from 79% Grenache from the 11 Confessions Vineyard along with 18% Syrah and 3% Petite Sirah, produced using 89% whole cluster and aged for around 38 months in 51% used oak, 6% new French oak and 43% concrete tanks (bottled December 6, 2016). It displays a medium to deep garnet color and rock star vibrant red currant and black raspberry scents with hints of licorice, mocha, Indian spices and peppered salami plus oh-so-fragrant and seductive touches of potpourri and chargrill. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and opulently fruited in the mouth, the alluring, velvety tannins support savory, spicy layers right through the long, mineral-laced finish. This is one drop dead gorgeous, femme fatale of a wine. 868 cases of 750 milliliter bottles, 223 magnums and 30 double magnums were made. (LPB)" (09/2017)

2012 Alpha Omega "Era" Napa Valley Proprietary Red (OWC)
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Alpha Omega "Era" Napa Valley Proprietary Red (OWC - 98RP, 93JS, 93VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Alpha Omega's flagship wine, the 2012 Proprietary Red Blend ERA, fashioned from 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot, flirts with perfection. Its inky/purple color is followed by notes of incense, camphor, melted licorice, blackberry and cassis fruit. Super-concentrated with no hard edges, this is a seamless, complex, compelling Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated wine with exquisite ripeness, purity and texture. It should drink well for 15-20 years. Swiss-born Jean Hoefliger had plenty of experience in Bordeaux and working with Michel Rolland at Newton Vineyards before taking over the reins at Alpha Omega. He has hit pay-dirt with the 2012s, the finest vintage I have tasted from this ambitious winery located on Route 29, south of St. Helena. They have some great vineyard sources for their Cabernet Sauv

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1989 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (100JG, 100JS, 100RP, 100WS, 98VN, 97ST). Wine Spectator: "What a gorgeous, seductive and beautiful wine, as always. I can't get over the perfumed aromas of subtle milk chocolate, cedar and sweet tobacco. Full-bodied, yet so refined and silky, lasting for minutes on the palate. Everything is in just the right proportion. This is a wine that will go on forever. I love it. One of my great loves in the wine world. (JS)" (01/2010)

2005 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A nose of black raspberries interwoven with floral notes of blackcurrants and spice jump from the glass of this dense ruby/plum/purple wine. This famous vineyard at the northern end of Napa Valley, which in this era was owned by Bart and Daphne Araujo (today owned by François Pinault, the proprietor of Château Latour), can certainly make the argument that it’s one of the first growths of Napa Valley. Sweet, velvety tannin, medium to full body, and extraordinary complexity and elegance characterize this wine, which is seamless and drinking beautifully. While not one of their longest-lived vintages, the balance and purity suggest that, while it may be entering its fully mature stage, it certainly can keep going for another 10-15 years. The finish is easily 40 seconds-plus. (RP)" (06/2015)

2008 Outpost Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Outpost Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 93WS, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An outstanding value in Napa Cabernet, the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon’s opaque ruby/purple hue is followed by copious notes of crushed rock, blueberry pie, pen ink and black fruits. Full-bodied, opulent and fleshy with impressive purity and a long finish, this terrific Cabernet can be drunk now or cellared for 15+ years. Proprietors Kathy and Frank Dotzler along with winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown have quickly pushed this estate high on Howell Mountain to one of the leaders of that appellation. These wines all possess considerable character and the 2008s have certainly lived up to my forecast from last year, especially the Cabernets, Petite Sirah and Zinfandel. (RP) 94+" (12/2010)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 boasts an inky/purple color along with notes of graphite, violets, blackberries, creme de cassis and hints of charcoal and barbecue in addition to a full-bodied, multilayered mouthfeel that builds incrementally with great purity, staggering fruit concentration, and a long, velvety, 50+-second finish. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "With a slightly smokier edge to the honeysuckle, poached pear, pineapple and caramelized citrus notes, the 2010 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard hits the palate with a full-bodied, thunderous affect of fruit, glycerin and acidity. The wine reveals some smoke in the aromatics, but little, if any, in the flavor profile. Full-bodied, lovely, and again, close to perfection (as so often these wines are), this is a beauty to drink over the next decade or more. (RP)" (08/2015)

2012 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection has a dense blackish/purple color and creamy, sweet crème de cassis fruit, blackberries, a touch of graphite and vanilla, This exuberant, boisterous, in-your-face style of Cabernet Sauvignon is clearly a fruit bomb, so be warned. Full-bodied and opulent with stunning concentration and richness, the wine has no hard edges and is much in the Caymus style of terrific fruit intensity (most of it black and blue), voluptuous texture, and a stunning finish with plenty of glycerin, wood and spice. The alcohol on the label is listed at 14.8%, which seems about accurate. I have Caymus Special Selection in my cellar back to some of the historic wines made by Chuck Wagner’s father in the early 1970s, and while the style’s gotten more precocious and consumer-friendly, these wines, even the more latter-day styles, have

2013 Philip Togni "Estate" Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Philip Togni "Estate" Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (100DC, 100VN). Decanter: "Every time I taste Philip Togni's 2013, the more profound it seems. Bursting from the glass with complex aromas of red and black fruit, burning embers, pungent violet, rich cocoa and incipient tobacco leaf, on the palate the wine is incredibly deep, concentrated and three-dimensional. Right now it's shutting down and deserves to snooze for at least a decade before it begins to unful and reveal all its magic. Philip and his daughter Lisa are producing wines that deserve to be recognised as some of the most authoratative, classical Cabernets in all California. (WK)" (05/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 2004 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (96WE, 95RP, 95W&S, 93ST, 93WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Yes, there is power to this wine. But more than that, it exudes authority; a dense and solid wine with an impressive presence and texture. It has a velvet mouthfeel: the tannins are dusty and mineral, alongside fruit flavors of ripe black plums and dark figs, leavened with fresh acidity. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Cayuse "Bionic Frog" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (98JD, 97RP, 95WE, 94WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Deep, meaty, and incredibly savory, the 2009 Cayuse Syrah Bionic Frog is dark ruby/purple and offers up a knockout, textbook northern Rhône bouquet of meaty black cherry fruit, pan drippings, bacon fat, peat moss, ground pepper, and searing minerality. Every bit as good on the palate, this full-bodied, structured Syrah is gorgeously concentrated and rich, while at the same time, staying very light on the palate, with brilliant focus, precision, and length. It’s the most firm and structured of the ‘09s, without much baby fat, and needs lots of air to shows at its best. It will ideally be given 3-5 years of bottle age, and should have two decades of longevity. 98+" (06/2012)

2002 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The nearly perfect 2002 Proprietary Red Wine is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot and the rest dollops of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. This exotic, full-throttle, nearly over-the-top red wine’s intensity, richness and smoky coffee notes intermixed with notions of chocolate, graphite, and jammy blackberry and black currant fruit ooze from the glass. This rich, concentrated beauty tastes more like a top-notch, young Right Bank Bordeaux from a vintage such as 2009 than a wine dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon. With stunning purity and awesome potential, it can be drunk now or cellared for another two decades. (RP)" (06/2012)

2000 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 2000 Margaux, Margaux (100JS, 100RP, 98ST, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Absolutely compelling in two tastings of this vintage, the 2000 Margaux is composed of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. The extraordinary seductiveness, complex aromatics, and purity it exhibits lead me to believe it has reached its window of full maturity. Medium-bodied, with layers of concentration, stunning blue, red, and black fruits intermixed with spring flowers, a subtle dosage of new oak, and a distinctive personality that is elegant while at the same time powerful and substantial, this is a multi-dimensional wine that was extremely approachable and drinkable in both tastings I had of it. The color remains a healthy, even opaque bluish/purple, but there is no reason to hesitate to drink it. It should evolve for another 30-40 years, so there is no hurry either. (RP)" (06/2010)

Full-bodied and very sweet, with fantastic concentration of ripe and botrytized fruit, yet balanced and refined. Electric acidity. Lasts for minutes on the palate. This is absolutely mind-blowing. 1993 Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1993 Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin Grand Cru (98JG, 97VN, 96RP, 95BH, 95WS). John Gilman: " The 1993 Rousseau Chambertin is an absolutely brilliant wine, but it is so young as to border on criminal to be opening bottles today. The nose is deep, noble and primary, offering up notes of red plums, blackberries, espresso, incipient notes of grilled meats, hints of blood orange, violets, mustard seed, earth and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, tight and laser-like, with a rock solid core of black fruit, excellent transparency, modest tannins, tangy acids, and outstanding length and grip on the finish. While this wine is very impressive to drink today, it clearly is in need of another decade to really blossom and show all the facets of its precious gem-like personality. I would opt for leaving it alone until then, as there are plenty more fireworks to come down the road with this great example of the vintage. (Drink between 2015-2050)" (08/2006)

Large-scaled and utterly seamless, filling the entire mouth with black cherry, blackberry and black raspberry perfume. As powerful as this is, there's no undue weight here owing to the wine's outstanding vibrancy and aromatic lift. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Noël Verset Cornas ((89-92ST)). 89-92 points Stephen Tanzer: "Black cherry, blueberry, licorice and pepper, with inky and espresso nuances. Supple but cool, with black fruit, violet and inky flavors. Without the influence of new oak, there's no spurious sweetness here, and the wine is distinctly rustic but not at all unclean. Penetrating and firmly structured for a 2000, and quite difficult to assess at this stage." (Jan/Feb 03) According to Robert Parker: "One of my favorite growers, the diminutive Verset, who must be close to 90 years of age, has had an erratic track record over the last few years, (which does nothing to diminish the portfolio of great wines he produced in the seventies and eighties), but the 2000 is a successful effort. Its deep purple color is accompanied by aromas of blackberry liqueur, figs, plums, melted licorice, and scorched earth. Soft and savory, it is a sexy Cornas to enjoy over the next 8-10 years. Bravo!" Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Sine Qua Non "Le Supplément" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (100JD, 100RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming entirely from the Eleven Confessions Estate Vineyard and composed of 89% Syrah, 6% Petite Sirah, 3% Grenache and 2% Viognier, using 28% whole cluster, the 2013 Syrah Le Supplement is just starting to evolve into beguiling earthy/meaty tertiary notes with suggestions of sandalwood, mossy bark, black soil, patchouli and salami over a core of blackberry compote, preserved plums, mincemeat pie and star anise with a touch of dried lavender. 2003 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (95VN, 93ST). Vinous: "A heady, exotic wine, the 2003 Mouton Rothschild takes hold of all the senses. The ripeness and exuberance of the year comes through in spades as this dramatic, opulent wine shows off its radiant personality. The 2003 can be enjoyed now, but it could also use another few years for the tannins to soften. Still, the 2003 is pretty hard to resist today. This is an exceptional, deeply satisfying Mouton endowed with notable richness but also exceptional balance. Hints of toffee, torrefaction and dark spices are laced into the finish. In 2003 the blend is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, all brought in between a fairly narrow window of ten days between September 15 and 25. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Nöel Verset Cornas (94VN, 91ST). Vinous: "From an outstanding northern Rhône vintage, Verset's 1999 Cornas is still youthfully fruity and floral on the nose, offering aromas of fresh red berries, candied flowers and peppery spices, with a smoky mineral nuance slowly emerging. Juicy black raspberry and cola flavors expand in the mouth and pick up hints of cola and licorice, along with a touch of succulent herbs. Bitter chocolate and fruitcake notes emerge on the finish, which features dusty tannins and a jolt of juicy acidity. I'd hold onto this one for a while as it drinks like a much younger wine now and holds excellent promise. (JR)" (01/2015)

2003 Harlan "Estate" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC)
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Harlan "Estate" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 98RP, 98WE, 95ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most backward yet promising wines of the vintage is the 2003 Harlan Estate. Its dense opaque plum/purple color is accompanied by a sumptuous bouquet of graphite, camphor, creme de cassis, smoky barbecue wood and a hint of forest floor. Similar flavors hit the mouth with full-bodied splendor, a multidimensional mouthfeel and texture, and the sensational finish lasts more than 45 seconds. Some tannins are still present, and this wine seems much younger than expected at ten years of age, so give it 4-5 more years of bottle age and consume it over the following 20-25 years. 1998 Nöel Verset Cornas
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 Nöel Verset Cornas (93VN, 92ST, 92WS). Vinous: "Verset's 1998 Cornas displays complex redcurrant, cherry pit, violet and spicecake scents, with deeper olive and licorice nuances sneaking up as the wine opens. Lively and sharply focused, it offers spicy red fruit and floral flavors that are underscored by building minerality. It's bright, focused and spicy on the finish, which echoes the floral and spice notes. Anybody who thinks that Cornas can't be elegant really owes it to themselves to try this wine, if they can get their hands on a bottle at this point. (JR)" (01/2015)

2011 Abreu "Cappella" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Abreu "Cappella" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Finally in the bottle, the 2011 Proprietary Red Cappella is showing even better than it did from barrel last year (a common occurrence at Abreu). The 2011, which includes more Merlot than usual because of the cold growing season, reveals terrific notes of espresso roast, chocolate, forest floor, incense, and blackberry and cassis fruit. This broad, round effort is an opulent, fruit-forward, supple, luscious wine that should drink well for 10-15 years. (RP)" (10/2014)

2014 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay (98RP, 96WS, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Chardonnay The Judge (275 cases) emerges from his best parcel, which was planted in 1976 and 1990 on St. George rootstock in rocky, malnourished soils that rarely give up more than one ton of fruit per acre. This is a fabulous Chardonnay, and certainly one of the Chardonnays of the vintage. Rocky minerality intermixed with lemon custard, orange blossom, pineapple and white peach are all present in this big, complex, sensational Chardonnay to drink over the next decade or more. 2000 La Clusière, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 2000 La Clusière, St-Emilion (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Now extinct, as this tiny 2.6-acre micro-vineyard was absorbed into Chateau Pavie, the 2000 La Clusiere (100% Merlot) was bestowed a perfect score seven years ago, and I see no reason to change that as it remains a monumental effort. Aromas of creme de cassis, blueberry liqueur, charcoal, licorice, and graphite are followed by a stunningly rich, full-bodied, elegant, pure, gentle giant of a wine. Approaching full maturity, it should age effortlessly for another 30+ years. Kudos to proprietor Gerard Perse. (RP)" (06/2010)

Mineral-accented red berry and cherry aromas are complemented by hints of fresh rose and anise. Of the 2013 Sine Qua Non "Résisté" Central Coast Proprietary White,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "the 2013 White Wine Resiste is a sensational white from California that's made from 45% Roussanne, 26% Chardonnay, 14% Petite Manseng, 10% Viognier and 5% Marsanne that spent 19 months in 46% new French oak and the balance in concrete eggs and used barrels. Possessing rock-star levels of richness and texture on the palate, with full-bodied depth and power that never seems heavy or cumbersome, it has classic SQN white notes of buttered golden fruits, honeysuckle, honeycomb, toast and white flowers. Bid on this magnum lot of 2006 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (95CG, 94RP, 94WE, 94WS, 92JS, 92VN). Connoisseurs Guide: " *Three Stars* Already amazingly seductive with wonderfully rich aromas of sweet oak, cocoa and fully expressed fruit making a first-rate introduction, this riveting young wine in no way lets up on the palate and delivers deep, multi-faceted flavors that combine ripeness, sweet oak and very precise fruit in near-perfect proportion. As is often the case with Insignia bottlings, it is so beautifully balanced that it invites early drinking, and, while we do not condemn giving in to its charms, we also would lobby strongly for patience as its best years lie down the line." 2014 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2014 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache (97RP, 94WS, 93VN, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 533 cases of the 2014 Grenache God Only Knows Armada Vineyard, and as always, it's an unknown blend that's dominated by Grenache (reportedly from vine cuttings from Rayas). It's fermented with just about 100% whole clusters in concrete and aged mostly in neutral puncheons and foudre, with one concrete egg. A bigger, richer wine than the No Girls cuvee, this beauty packs a punch in its black cherry, reduced strawberry, herbes de Provence and crushed violet aromas and flavors. With full-bodied richness, a supple, elegant style and fine tannin, this singular beauty will benefit from a year or three of cellaring and keep for 10-15 years ... (JD)" (06/2017)

2013 Merry Edwards "Klopp Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2013 Merry Edwards "Klopp Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Pinot Noir Klopp Ranch is from Goldridge soils, which are favored by many Chardonnay and Pinot winemakers in the Russian River. Typical of her wines, there is terrific color, extraction and a deep ruby/purple color. The wine is broad, flavorful, intense, promising and delicious. Sweet plum, cranberry and black cherry notes moving toward bluer fruits are present in this full-bodied Pinot Noir that shows good acidity and ripe tannin. This is another winner, but it is most promising and brightest days are ahead of it. Forget it for several years and drink it over the following 15-20. 92+ (RP)" (03/2016)

2005 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2005 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine Vineyard comes from the fifth leaf of this estate vineyard and in this vintage contains 4.5% Merlot. The wine was aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak. Opaque purple-colored, its distinctive aromatics leap from the glass. Toasty oak, scorched earth, a hint of truffle, black cherry, black raspberry, and blackberry liqueur aromas are quite mesmerizing. On the palate, this sizable effort is firm, full-bodied, and structured, demanding 6-8 years of cellaring... It should be hitting its stride by 2015 and remain at that level through 2035. Full-bodied and powerful, this dense ruby/purple-tinged offering is a tour de force in Cabernet Sauvignon. Of the 2013 Viader Napa Valley Proprietary Red,Vinous writes: "Viader's 2013 Red Wine is a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Cabernet Franc from the lower slopes of Howell Mountain. A rush of dark red stone fruit, mocha, espresso, dried flowers and cedar races across the palate. Fleshy and pliant, but also backed by considerable structure, the 2013 is going to need time to fully come together. Expressive aromatic top notes from the Franc reappear on the finish. This is a typical 2013 built on power, intensity and substance. The new oak needs time to fully integrate, so readers will have to be patient. (AG)" (10/2015)
