2013 Gramercy "The Deuce" Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Gramercy "The Deuce" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (93RP, 93WE, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Mostly from the Les Collines Vineyard in Walla Walla, the 2013 Syrah The Deuce is a fabulous, downright sexy 2013 that’s loaded with gamy, lavender, dried violets, and peppery aromas and flavors. Giving up lots of dark fruits, full-bodied richness, sweet tannin and a graceful, never heavy texture, it shows the vintage's more charming, approachable style, yet I’m sure this beauty will cruise for a decade in the cellar. 1995 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 92VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, and the last wine made by Pam Starr at Rombauer Vineyards, the 1995 offers worthy competition to the magnificent 1994, which was more highly heralded. A touch of spring flowers, intermixed with crème de cassis, licorice, lead-pencil shavings and cedar, are all present in this wine of great intensity and full-bodied power, but with an elegance and finesse that, again, similarly suggests a Château Margaux made in St. Helena. This beautiful wine should continue to drink well for another 25 years. (RP)" (08/2016)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 K Vintners "Motor City Kitty" Columbia Valley Syrah (93RP, 91WS, 90WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting off the 2010s, which were all tasted out of bottle, the 2010 Syrah Motor City Kitty is 100% Syrah that’s from the Northridge and Stoneridge Vineyards. Up-front, loaded with fruit and downright sexy in its texture and suppleness, it delivers ripe aromas and flavors of mulled black fruits, Asian spices, licorice, asphalt and hints of game along with a full-bodied, open-knit palate that has no hard edges and a drink me now feel. Hedonistic, yet beautifully balanced and pure, it will deliver the goods over the coming 5-6 years. Drink now-2018. (JD)" (06/2013)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Gramercy "Lagniappe" Columbia Valley Syrah (95RP, 91VN, 90W&S, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Shockingly good, the 2011 Syrah Lagniappe is gorgeous, and certainly, one of the wines of the vintage. Giving up ample smoked meats, red and black currants, spice box, hints of cedar and ground pepper this medium to full-bodied, beautifully concentrated effort fleshes out nicely on the palate, has ripe tannin and knockout length. Drink it anytime over the coming 10 to 12 years. Master Sommelier turned winemaker, Greg Harrington is fashioning some of the top wines in Washington from his base in Walla Walla. His 2011s showed beautifully from barrel last year, and didn’t disappoint this year from bottle. His 2012s will be even better. (JD)" (06/2014)

2012 K Vintners "Rock Garden" Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 K Vintners "Rock Garden" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (94RP, 92WE, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another classic Walla Walla Syrah, the 2012 Syrah River Rock Vineyard comes from the southern end of the Walla Walla Valley and the region known as "The Rocks." Giving up lots of damp earth, underbrush, pepper, iron and tobacco leaf, it's full-bodied, loaded with fruit and texture, and has good tannin that come through on the finish. These hedonistic beauties from this terroir always drink nicely in their youth, yet they surprise in the cellar as well and have lengthy drink window. In this case, I suspect this will be better in a year, and have 10-12 years or more of total longevity. (JD)" (06/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 In Order To Form A More Perfect Union checks in as a blend of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Giving up plenty of cedar, spice box, spring flowers and black currant styled aromas and flavors, this medium to full-bodied, layered and seamless effort has juicy acidity, excellent concentration (especially in the vintage) and superb underlying structure. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Rasa '' In Order to Form a More Perfect Union'' Columbia Valley Proprietory Blend (96JD, 94WE, 92VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The first vintage for this wine and a blend of 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, and 23% Cabernet Franc that was aged in 60% new French oak, the 2009 Rasa Vineyards In Order to Form a More Perfect Union delivers spectacular aromatics, a seamless, full-bodied texture, and blockbuster length on the finish. Showing notes of crème de cassis, tobacco, charred toast, sweet oak, and spice cabinet on the nose, this stays gorgeously light, elegant, and fresh on the palate, while at the same time showing fantastic intensity, a concentrated mid-palate, and ripe tannin that emerges with more time in the glass. This is impressive any way you slice it, and while it is no doubt a spectacular drink now, it deserves 4-5 years of bottle age, and should keep for upwards of two decades." (06/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Rasa "Principia" Walla Walla Reserve Syrah (94JD, 94WE, 92WS, 91VN). Wine Enthusiast: "100% varietal, this is a strict barrel selection from key vineyards – Les Collines, Seven Hills, Lewis and Portteus. It is tight, dense, deeply detailed, and built for long term aging. Right now it's showing a fair amount of herb and forest floor, but the structure is so perfect that it doesn't matter. *Cellar Selection* (PG)" (09/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Rasa '' In Order to Form a More Perfect Union'' Columbia Valley Proprietory Blend (94RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A step up, the 2010 In Order to Form a More Perfect Union is a decadent blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc that was aged in 60% new French oak. Offering up a hedonistically bent bouquet of black currant, smoked herbs, espresso, black olive and lead pencil shavings, it bursts onto the palate with a full-bodied, thick and voluptuous texture that partially conceals sound back-end concentration and structure. Aged 22 months in once used French oak barrels, it has a seamless, if not voluptuous texture, no hard edges and a great finish. Drink it over the coming 8-10 years. (JD)" (06/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Reynvaan "Foothills Reserve" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (97RP, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "nother Cote Rotie look alike, the 2012 Syrah Foothills Reserve comes all from the Foothills in the Sun vineyard (which is planted around the estate) and is an incredible Syrah that is up with the top efforts from this great vintage. Pure, full-bodied, utterly seamless and with sweet tannin, it offers a kaleidoscope of black raspberry, olive, mint, game and peppery herbs aromas and flavors. 2009 Rasa "Principia" Walla Walla Reserve Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Rasa "Principia" Walla Walla Reserve Syrah (94JD, 93VN, 92WE, 92WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The estate’s top Syrah and sourced from a number of top vineyards, the 2009 Rasa Vineyards Syrah Principia Reserve, aged mostly in neutral French oak, is pure and decadently fruited, with brilliant aromas of crème de cassis, smoked blackberry, truffle, sweet oak, and creamy licorice on the nose. These qualities carry over to the palate where the wine is full-bodied and powerful, with a concentrated mid-palate, a rich, full texture, and ripe, polished tannin that frames the finish. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from the sandy soils of the southern slopes of Horse Heaven Hills, the 2010 Southern Blend is a blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre aged in used French oak barrels. Deep ruby in color and almost opaque, it displays superb Grenache flair with loads of kirsch, licorice, white and black pepper, exotic spices and floral qualities that give way to a medium-bodied, fresh, focused palate. Deep ruby/purple, it is deep and dense aromatically, with smoky black fruits, bacon fat, dark chocolate, wild herbs and crushed rock-like minerality all emerging from the glass. Medium to full-bodied on the palate and simply impeccably put together, with a concentrated, rich palate weight that’s carried by a seamless texture and a lively, energetic feel, this thrilling, age-worthy Syrah should be given 3-4 years in the cellar and then consumed over the following 10-12 years. A blend of 70% Mourvedre, 20% Cinsault and 10% Grenache, it displays a bright, lifted array of bramble-laced black and blue fruits, leather, sappy underbrush, peppered meats and licorice on the nose. Up-front and gorgeously fruited on the palate, it has loads of texture, yet manages to stay fresh and elegant, with juicy acidity, very fine, silky tannin and a brilliant finish that certainly doesn’t lack for length. 1999 Gevrey Chambertin, 'Craipillot', 1er Cru, Dom. Gerard Seguin
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1999 Gevrey Chambertin, 'Craipillot', 1er Cru, Dom. Gerard Seguin. The Craipillot vineyard lies just below Lavaux St. Jacques, and next to Champonnet. Clive Coates calls it 'the obscure (I have never seen an example) Craipillot'. Well, here is a rare chance to try this vineyard! The vines are from 75 to 100 years old, and the wine clearly reflects this. Focused, balanced and made in an entirely elegant style, this has a pretty cherry and strawberry nose. In contrast to some Gevreys which are highly extracted and dark, with fierce tannis, this is delicate, full of finesse and has a lovely finish and great integrity. Very long, very pure, very fine. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Anderson's Conn Valley "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Conn Valley’s 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve reveals a healthy dark plum/dense purple color along with abundant notes of new saddle leather, incense, licorice, roasted herbs, unsmoked cigar tobacco and cassis. This full-bodied, young adolescent appears to need another 3-4 years of bottle age. It was slightly closed in this tasting, but is an impressive young wine. (RP)" (06/2012)

Of the 2009 Gruaud-Larose, St-Julien,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "As I wrote in my barrel tasting note, the 2009 appears to be the finest Gruaud Larose since their 1990. Some of my concerns about too much brett in previous vintages are long gone as the purity of the 2009 jumps out. Copious notes of sagebrush, cedar, cigar box, licorice, incense, blackberries and lead pencil shavings suggest a big Pauillac rather than a St.-Julien. Broad, rich and full-bodied with good balance and abundant, but sweet, well-integrated tannin, this big, masculine Gruaud Larose reveals remarkable finesse, richness, extract, density and a cascade of fruit that nearly hides the lofty tannins. This beauty should be at its best between 2020-2045. (RP)" (02/2012)

1947 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1947 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I have never had anything but extraordinary, decadent, fabulously rich, concentrated bottles of the 1947 Mouton-Rothschild. The exotic, ostentatious bouquet of ginger, mint, coffee, cedar, and gobs of cassis fruit is followed by a syrupy, viscously-textured, thick, juicy Mouton that is bursting with fruit. Although drinkable since I first tasted it over a decade ago, it exhibits no signs of fruit loss or color deterioration. It is one of the most exotic and opulent Mouton-Rothschilds I have ever tasted. (RP)" (12/1997)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Sine Qua Non "Le Chemin Vers L'Hérésie" California Grenache (98RP, (96-98VN), (95-97JD)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Grenache Le Chemin Vers L'Heresie is a blend of 75% Grenache, 13% Mourvèdre, 8% Touriga Nacional and 4% Petite Sirah, coming 35% from The Third Twin (Estate) Vineyard, 9% from Bien Nacido Vineyard, 28% from the Cumulus (Estate) Vineyard, 26% from the Eleven Confessions (Estate) Vineyard and 2% from Molly Aida (Estate) Vineyard. It was produced using 44% whole cluster and aged for around 22 months in French oak, 11% new (bottled August 21, 2017). It has a deep garnet-purple color and fragrant nose of violets, kirsch, blueberry compote and dark chocolate with hints of lavender, smoky bacon, Provence herbs and menthol. 2007 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP, 93JS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Les Pavots, a Bordeaux varietal blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot, is brilliant. Its opaque purple color is accompanied by gorgeously complex aromas of melted chocolate, espresso roast, blackberries, and cassis. Full-bodied with a superb texture, a subtle note of oak, and fabulous concentration, it is more reminiscent of a Right Bank Bordeaux than one expects with this much Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. A thirty-year wine, its impeccable balance and the sweetness of its tannins make it accessible already. (RP)" (02/2010)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2005 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95VN, 94WE, 93WS, 92CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Almost as impressive is the 2005 Cabernet Reserve, a blend of 95.5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4.5 % Petit Verdot, in this case sourced 58% from Sonoma County and 42% from Napa. Its 14.5% alcohol is slightly lower than its sibling’s. This full-bodied wine is very concentrated, with a saturated bluish/purple color and a classic nose of mocha and espresso intermixed with crème de cassis and charcoal. The finish is a good 40-45 seconds, and the wine has a remarkable vibrancy and freshness from the vintage’s acidity. This is terrific stuff to drink now and over the next 12-15 years. 1990 Auguste Clape Cornas
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Auguste Clape Cornas (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Clape's 1990 Cornas is outstanding. The color is an opaque black/purple, and the nose offers up rich, ripe aromas of black fruits, licorice, and spices. Superconcentrated, with a full-bodied, highly extracted, mouth-filling taste, this example of Cornas possesses moderate tannin, adequate acidity, and a smashingly long finish. It is also relatively refined for a Cornas, displaying no signs of the rustic tannin or funky, earthy smells many Cornas can possess. (RP)" (01/1997)

2013 Abreu "Thorevilos" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Abreu "Thorevilos" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 100VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Probably one of my favorite vineyards in all of Napa Valley, even though it is not entitled to any particular AVA designation, is the steep hillside vineyard behind the luxury resort of Meadowood in St. Helena called Thorevilos. It is co-owned by David Abreu and Ric Forman. I have now tasted 16 vintages of this wine, and six and possibly seven (the 2015) have merited perfect scores, which is just mind-boggling even to someone who has been doing this for 38+ years. This wine contains a considerable quantity of Cabernet Franc (probably 30% or more, although Abreu and Grimes are never specific) and there may even be a small percentage of Petit Verdot included in the blend. This is always the most floral of the Abreu wines, but it also has what the French call je ne sais quoi, a quality that is hard to pin down. The 2013 defines what Thorevilos is all about, with c

2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A staggering Chardonnay that’s still an infant, the light yellow/green/gold 2007 offers up notes of unbuttered popcorn, orange liqueur, lemon butter, quince and crushed rocks. It possesses terrific underlying acidity, a full-bodied mouthfeel and a youthfulness and freshness that suggest this wine has two decades of life ahead of it. This majestic Chardonnay seems more French than Californian, but again, this reflects the significance of the labor of these two overachieving, push-the-envelope visionaries. What California viticulture and high-class, minimalist winemaking can achieve is exhibited in bold fashion by this 2007. It will hit its prime in 5-7 years, and appears to be a replay of the 2002 stylistically as well as for its overall potential. (RP) 99+" (06/2012)

1987 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 1987 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JG, 90RP). John Gilman: "The 1987 Martha’s Vineyard hails back to the time when the labels stated 13.5 percent alcohol, and in this most recent vertical tasting of the wine, one did get a strong sense that this vintage and earlier were indeed just a tad less ripe than subsequent vintages. This slightly lower octane seems to allow an even stronger signature of soil to infuse the wines. The 1987 Martha’s is a great, great wine that seems to have been lost a bit in the shuffle when it was released, as it followed on the heels of the specially labeled 1985. The bouquet is deep and absolutely stunning, as it delivers a complex blend of black cherries, mint, a touch of chocolate, Rutherford dust, pretty mineral tones and an exotic topnote of allspice. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure and transparent, with a seamless attack, a sappy core, and great length and grip on th

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1989 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (96VN, 95WS, 94JG, 93RP, 93ST). Vinous: "Off the charts aromatic intensity, silky tannins and exceptional finesse give the 1989 much of its considerable allure. Crushed flowers, sweet red fruit, tobacco, cedar and incense are some of the many notes that waft from the glass, but it is the wine’s textural finesse that elevates it into the realm of the profound. Wonderfully alive and delineated in every way, the 1989 is one of many highlights on this magical afternoon. (AG)" (10/2017)

1984 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1984 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The wine's strikingly dark ruby/plum/purple color belies its nearly 30 years of age. Abundant red and black currant fruit notes intermixed with notions of incense, truffles, underbrush and forest floor emerge from this full-bodied, dense, rich Insignia. It still appears capable of further nuances and development, which is hard to believe given its age. An impressive underlying vibrancy and focus are found in this still young Napa red. This year enjoyed a more normal Napa spring weather-wise, with warm temperatures interspersed with hot periods throughout the summer, and an early harvest. The 1984 Insignia is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc (30% of the fruit from estate vineyards and 70% from growers), and for the first time in a number of years the barrel regime was shortened to 11 months. Full and firm with a wonderful core of silky tannins that are polished and beautiful. Dark chocolate, vanilla bean, and dark fruit. Solid and firm. 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. It is so good now, why wait? Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 94RP, 94VN, 92JS, 92WE) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A great wine in the making, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (just under 10,000 cases produced) possesses a fragrant bouquet of sweet black currants, crushed rocks, earth and background oak. Full-bodied and dense, with Montelena’s typical power, tannin and reserved nature, this is a big, rich, formidably endowed red that requires 4-5 years of cellaring. That in itself is atypical of this exuberant, flamboyant vintage. Given this cuvee’s past history, this 2007 should age for 30+ years. (RP) 94+ " (12/2010)
