2005 Domaine Beaurenard "Cuvée Boisrenard" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Beaurenard "Cuvée Boisrenard" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96WS, 95RP, 94ST). Wine Spectator: " This lush beauty really tames the rugged structure of the vintage, offering gorgeous boysenberry and raspberry confiture layered with mocha, Turkish coffee, licorice and fig paste notes. The long finish has great grip, though it's remarkably well-embedded, allowing the exotic spice notes to linger beautifully. *Collectibles* (JM)" (04/2008)

2001 Francesc Sanchez Bas Montsalvat Priorat
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2001 Francesc Sanchez Bas Montsalvat Priorat (93RP, 91WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Montsalvat is a gargantuan effort composed of 70% Carinena from 70- to 80-year-old vines and 30% Garnacha of the same age with yields of less than a ton per acre. The wine was aged 16 months in new French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered. The color is a nearly black/purple with a huge nose of marzipan, mineral, vanilla, and wild blue and blackberries. Full-bodied, the wine has an untamed, rustic feel on the palate with layered, opulent blue and black fruits as well as a balsamic note, and a splendid integration of oak, acid, and tannins. Give this wine a few years in bottle for further evolution and then drink it over the next 10-15 years. Like most of the stars in Priorat, Francesc Sanchez Bas, an agricultural engineer, only started his estate as recently as 1996. All the grapes come from vineyards owned by Bas and are made by Roser Amoros. (JM)" (02/20

Purple in color, it exhibits a fragrant nose of mineral, underbrush, lavender, black cherry, and blueberry. This is followed by a dense, layered, full-bodied wine with copious spice and black fruit notes emerging on the palate. Well balanced and with enough structure to evolve for several years, it will drink well through 2021. Finca Sandoval is the estate of distinguished journalist, bon vivant, and NBA geek, Victor de la Serna. The wines are fermented with native yeasts with ML in barrel followed by 11 to 13 months in French and American oak. (JM)" (06/2009)

Dark ruby-colored, it offers an expressive perfume of toasty oak, pencil lead, spice box, mineral, and black fruits. This is followed by a structured, firm wine that has excellent depth and length. It will evolve for 5-7 years and provide pleasure through 2020. (JM)" (02/2008)

Purple-colored, the aromatics reveal notes of mocha, coffee, smoke, violets, spice box, wild cherry, and blackberry. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Lucien & Andre Brunel "Les Cailloux" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 93JD, 93VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I think the finest vintage for the classic cuvee ever, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape is a sensational blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 12% Syrah and the balance other permitted varieties. Aged mostly in tank, it offers a massive array of smoked herbs, lavender, black raspberries, toasted nuts, truffle and garrigue. Full-bodied, ripe, decadent and concentrated, it has slightly less structure than the '09, but has more raw material. This flat-out awesome Chateauneuf will have 20 years of longevity. A bit of a brute now (though floral and mineral hints chime in too) so cellar. If you do, you'll have a classic example of the vintage. Best from 2007 through 2025. 1,250 cases made. Wine Spectator: "Shows lots of exotic braised fig, black tea, roasted mesquite, incense and bittersweet cocoa notes, with a core of black cherry and raspberry fruit in reserve. The long, flashy finish lets pastis and Black Forest cake notes emerge. This has some toast to absorb, but it's all there. Best from 2010 through 2025. (JM)" (08/2009)

A blend of 78% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, and a dollop of Cinsault, it offers up huge aromas of garrigue, ground pepper, kirsch, and roasted meats. This leads to a layered, plush, mouth-filling, sweetly fruited wine with tons of flavor. It has enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years and its finish is long and pure. A big, rich, unctuous and concentrated effort, it offers lots of black raspberry, currants, olive paste and a kiss of graphite on the nose. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This new project is co-owned by Peter Sisseck of Pingus fame and the vineyards are cultivated using biodynamic principles. The 2004 Quinta Sardonia is a blend of 36% Tinto Fino, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 5% Syrah, 5% Cabernet Franc, 3% Malbec, and 1% Petit Verdot. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Von Strasser "Reserve" Diamond Mountain District Bordeaux Blend (95WE, 92W&S, 91RP). It's a barrel selection of the winery's best lots, from its various vineyards, and has been aged in 100% new French oak. Yet it's not oaky at all, with the wood bringing only additional sweet, smoky richness to the red currants, cherries, dark chocolate and spices. Deep, rich and layered, with thrilling cassis, blackberry, lead pencil, spice, spring flowers and smoke, it flows onto the palate with awesome purity, a straight focused profile and sweet tannin that emerge through the mid-palate and finish. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A very fresh and expressive nose features notes of dried flowers, pungent earth, plum, dark berries and plenty of the sauvage. I was impressed by the texture of the broad-shouldered and muscular flavors that possess very good volume and ample punch on the complex, balanced and impressively persistent finish. This cuvée is definitely improving as the viticultural changes have been implemented and it's not hard to believe that it won't be too long before the Corton catches, if not necessarily surpasses, the Ech in terms of wine quality. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is Sine Qua Non’s extended barrel-aged Grenache (meaning that in most vintages since 2003, Krankl has produced two cuvees of Grenache, one aged 18-22 months before bottling, and the other one with extended barrel-aging, in this case 32 months in wood). A blend of 84% Grenache, 12% Syrah and 4% Viognier, all from the 11 Confessions Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills, this is one of the most extraordinarily elegant Grenaches Krankl has produced. It is an intellectual wine, yet it doesn’t wimp out by any means. It is full-bodied and voluptuously textured, with notes of spice box, licorice and Provencal herbs, copious quantities of black currant and kirsch liqueur, stunning richness and a finish lasting close to a minute. Wine Enthusiast: "At the time it was shown as a barrel sample in early 2007, this was the best wine of 2006. That accolade remains. It has all the power of the Cabernet Sauvignon in Pauillac, which was the greatest success of the vintage. That power comes from the dense tannins as well as the black plum and spice flavors and minerality. The texture becomes velvet, giving a final richness, but never losing its long aging potential. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2001 Calon-Ségur, St-Estèphe ((89-92ST), 90RP, 90WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright full ruby. Vibrant, fruit-driven aromas of blackberry, licorice, minerals and flowers. Precise, fruit-driven flavors similar to the aromas. Dense but lively, with an enticing floral quality. Finishes long and ripely tannic, with lovely sweetness and grip. A very classy wine in the making. (ST)" (05/2002)

2001 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2001 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac ((0-92RP), 91W&S, 91WS, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at Bordeaux Index’s 10-Year On horizontal. The first bottle of this was denuded of vitality and out of sorts (indeed this is a major problem with this vintage.) Not corked, but previous experience old me that it was not “happy” bottle. Fortunately I stayed for another to be opened and this far more representative. Ripe, dark berried fruits on the nose with touches of mulberry, briary, graphite and sous-bois. The palate is medium-bodied with a crisp entry, tarry black fruits on the entry, sharp acidity, very tight but that is probably because this bottle had just been opened. Very fine. (NM)" (05/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 95WS, 94JS, 94VN, 94W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the world’s great wines and profound expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, is the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select. This wine spends more than 30 months in 100% new oak, and, year in year out, has been one of the most singular and profound examples of Cabernet Sauvignon in the world. It seems Shafer began to ratchet up performance during the 1990s, and the first decade of the 21st century has provided a treasure trove of either perfect or nearly perfect wines, including the 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007 and more recently the 2010, 2012 and, in all likelihood, the 2013. The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select (about 2,000 cases produced) is another one of those 'wow' wines, but it does it with a sort of measured richness and restraint and extraordinary subtle character, like the Gary Cooper of Napa Cabernet Sauvig

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2001 Smith-Haut-Lafitte Blanc, Pessac-Léognan (93RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A fabulous, complex perfume reveals scents of herbs, licorice, white peaches, honey, and citrus. This medium-bodied, gorgeously proportioned dry white Graves exhibits flavors of figs, citrus, and white flowers. Beautifully textured, tremendously pure, and authoritatively flavored yet remarkably elegant, it can be drunk now and over the next 12-15 years. (RP)" (06/2004)

1985 Domaine Ramonet Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1985 Domaine Ramonet Montrachet Grand Cru (98BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is one of those rare wines that is already 30 years old yet it is every bit as good as the same wine in magnum (see herein). A phenomenally complex and powerful nose is comprised by superbly layered aromas that exhibit no sous-bois nuances while introducing fresh, intense and dense flavors of incredible depth and breed plus they possess simply stunning length. This utterly stylish and classy effort is so good that it's frankly difficult to describe the sheer breadth of expression and the overall personality here is one of regal elegance it is reference standard Montrachet but the term "brilliant" would at least come close. I really like the subtle interplay of power, minerality, acid grip, complexity and huge persistence and this is a genuinely great Ramonet Montrachet, which given the heights this wine routinely achieves, that is really saying something. Mostly consistent notes tho

1992 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1992 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from a blend of fruit from four vineyards, Bancroft Ranch (57%), State Lane (now known as the Kapcsandy Vineyard) (21%), St. Helena Home Vineyard (14%) and Chabot (5%), 1992’s growing season was in total contrast to the preceding vintages. It was warm, even hot, with early bud break and some unusual rain in June. However, the following months were super-dry and hot, which caused an early start to the harvest. It turned out to be a classic Napa vintage in its exuberance and rich fruit. Although totally dry, it reveals a sweeter style with higher alcohol and glycerin and an impression of unctuosity and viscosity. While it does not exhibit the complexity of either the 1990 or 1991, it possesses a dense purple color along with a sexy, up-front, effusive, flamboyant style. (RP)" (06/2011)

2015 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, blocks B1, B2 and E2 planted to clone 337, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon RBS has a very deep purple-black color and is a little reticent to begin, offering glimpses at crushed black berries, black cherries and black currants with touches of cedar chest, pencil lead, dark chocolate and dusty earth with a waft of cinnamon stick. Medium to full-bodied and tautly structured with rock-solid, firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness supporting the muscular fruit, it finishes on a lingering earthy note. Forget this one over the next 4-5 years, and drink it over the next 25+. 1,096 cases produced. (LPB) 98+" (12/2017)

2008 Pétrus, Pomerol
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Pétrus, Pomerol (97RP, 97WE, 96VN, 95ST, 94JS, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "It is hard to call Petrus a 'sleeper of the vintage,' but the 2008 will merit more attention than most consumers would think. Low yields of 30 hectoliters per hectare resulted in only 25,000 bottles of this beauty. A wine of great intensity (possibly the most concentrated wine of the vintage), this 100% Merlot boasts a dark purple color as well as a sweet perfume of mocha, caramel, black cherries, black currants, earth and forest floor. Deep, unctuously textured, full-bodied and pure, it will benefit from 4-5 years of cellaring and should drink well for 25-30+ years. (RP)" (05/2011)

Bid on this magnum of 2004 Bond "St. Eden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (98RP, 96WE, 93VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon St. Eden, which comes from a valley floor vineyard in Oakville, is another dead ringer for a great Pauillac, possibly a young Mouton. Dense bluish/purple in color with stunning notes of cedarwood, unsmoked high-quality cigar tobacco, creme de cassis and espresso roast, this wine has fabulous fruit, density and a full-bodied, youthful mouthfeel, wonderful balance and purity, and a terrific finish that goes on for close to a minute. This is also relatively open, but slightly more structured than the Melbury. There’s no sense deferring gratification, so I would suggest drinking it over the next 15-20 years, possibly longer. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The deep garnet-purple colored 2014 Proprietary Red Wine offers up subtle cassis, black cherries and crushed blackberries notes with tons of savory and earthy layers: forest floor, black soil, charcoal and dried herbs, plus wafts of violets and rare beef. Full-bodied and built like a brick house in the mouth, it has loads of tense, muscular fruit with many layers of earth, savory and spice nuances emerging, finishing with epic length. 2006 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98VN, 95RP, 95ST). Vinous: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is stunning. A wine that is only now beginning to shed its tannin, the 2006 stands out for its vibrancy and energy. All of the classic Screaming Eagle notes are in the glass, but with a little more edge and cut than in most vintages. Sweet red berries, crushed rocks, flowers and spice box are alive in the glass. Over time, hints of sage, mint rosemary and pencil shavings add complexity. The 2006 is a decidedly cool-weather wine with less opulence than either the 2007 or 2009, but it is absolutely singing today. Another few years will only help the wine come together even more fully, but it is impossible to miss the 2006's utterly breathtaking beauty. (AG)" (12/2012)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2000 d'Issan, Margaux (OWC - 93RP, 92JG, 92W&S) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Fully mature, the 2000 D’Issan is a quintessentially elegant, yet concentrated, aristocratic Margaux that defines the appellation. The wine has a dark ruby/purple color just beginning to lighten at the edge. Notes of charcoal, acacia flowers, black raspberries, and blue fruits are followed by a medium to full-bodied wine that builds incrementally on the palate. With its outstanding purity, richness, elegance and length, this is a beauty that has reached its window of maturity, where it should stay for another 15 or more years. (RP)" (06/2010)

2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WE, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a hot vintage and incredible any way you look at it, the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon has that laser-like focus of a cooler year, yet the voluptuousness and richness of a warmer year. Smoked black fruits, coffee, truffle and pen ink-like aromas and flavors all emerge from this massive, incredibly full-bodied effort and on the palate, it carries itself perfectly with a weightless, yet decadent texture, masses of polished tannin and blockbuster length. More classic and textbook than the 2007, it is every bit as good. Enjoy it over the coming two decades or more. Drink now-2033. (JD)" (06/2013)

1982 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Margaux, Margaux (97RP, 97VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1982 Chateau Margaux is a wine that I have tasted many times, constantly contrasted against the 1983 to see which is better. Frankly I found that it depends on the bottle, although maybe the 1983 edges it. But it is important to assess the 1982 on its own individual merits because it is a superb First Growth. This was a great bottle: fragrant and beautifully defined on the nose that on this occasion offered a more conspicuous graphite scent, which lent it a Pauillac-like personality. Allowing the wine to open and aerate, the traits one associates with the property emerge—wilted violets and rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh and mineral-laden, that suggestion of candied orange peel on the entry segueing into layers of pure red and black fruit. There is always something effortless about this Chateau Margaux and the pixelation on the finish is up there with the very best. Is it
