2009 Wren Hop ''Sirens Lure'' Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Wren Hop ''Sirens Lure'' Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir ((93-95RP), 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even better is the 2009 Pinot Noir Siren’s Lure, which reminded me of a gorgeous grand cru from the Cote de Nuits (particularly from Morey St.-Denis). It offers notes of forest floor, plums, black raspberries, flowers, earth and a fresh porcini mushroom-like character. With terrific fruit intensity, full-bodied power and richness and a long finish, it should drink well for 7-8 years. " (02/2011)

Bid on this magnum of 2003 Domaine de la Janasse Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes (1.5L) (97RP, 96WE, 96WS, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A wine I’ve had more than a case of, sometimes with irregular results, the 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes was drinking about as good as it gets on this occasion. As usual, it’s made in a deeper, richer style than the Chaupin and offers thrilling texture, a smoking mid-palate and nothing but gorgeous Grenache fruit on the finish. Loaded with notions of blackberry liqueur, kirsch, fruit cake and spice, enjoy this knockout effort over the coming 2-4 years or so. (JD)" (08/2014)

It shows incredibly concentrated blackberry, dark chocolate and ripe cassis flavors, wrapped into impeccably rich tannins. Made from 100% Cabernet, it’s a superb example of Hillside. Mouton-Rothschild, always in the forefront of the greatest wines of Bordeaux, was the first estate to begin complete chateau-bottling of the harvest -- a historic step initiated in 1924 by the late Philippe de Rothschild. 2010 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96VN, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Rich, backwards, structured and massively concentrated, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon comes mostly from the Champoux Vineyard (also from Galitzine, Klipsun, Palengat and Tapteil) and is comprised of 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Merlot that spent 22 months in all new French oak. Offering up plenty of creme de cassis, coffee bean, toasted spice, pencil shavings and violet-like qualities on the nose, it has palate staining levels of extract and tannin that come through on the mid-palate and finish. Gorgeously full-bodied, layered and textured, with perfect balance, this awesome Cabernet needs to be forgotten for 5-6 years and will have two to three decades of longevity. Drink 2018-2030. Outstanding floral lift to the aromas of cassis, licorice, menthol and pungent minerality. Very pure, primary and high-pitched, but already boasts an extraordinarily fine-grained texture, reflecting both the vintage and the site. Most impressive today on the palate-saturating finish, which features wonderfully silky tannins and great mounting persistence. (ST) 97+" (05/2012)

1973 Chateau Montelena Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1973 Chateau Montelena Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon. This is the first "Chateau" Cabernet Sauvignon that Montelena produced. The 1973 vintage was a sterling Cabernet vintage, from which the talented (if novice) winemaking staff produced a big, rich, mouth filling wine. In order to develop further complexities through mellowing, an extended aging period of two years in French (Never) and American oak barrels was necessary. The resulting '73 Cabernet is a skillful balance between power and elegance. 3,000 cases of this wine were made, one wonders how many unopened bottles are still around! 1979 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1979 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "My ratings on the 1979 Private Reserve have inched up as it begins to justify some of the lavish hype the wine received after its release. It remains a youthful, backward Cabernet Sauvignon that should prove to be one of the longest-lived 1979s. The wine exhibits a dark ruby color with no lightening at the edge. No aged bouquet has yet developed, but an attractive perfume of sweet red and black fruits, vanilla, herbs, and earth is pleasing. In the mouth, there is outstanding richness, full body, crisp, underlying acidity, and moderate tannin in the finish. This wine appears to have broadened, gained weight, and expanded on the palate without losing any of its youthful quality. It still needs 5-6 years of cellaring and should keep for 20 years. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Grenache Shakti is blended of 88% Grenache, 6% Mourvèdre, 4% Petite Sirah and 2% Touriga Nacional, coming 51% from the Cumulus (Estate) Vineyard, 18% from The Third Twin (Estate) Vineyard, 9.5% from Bien Nacido Vineyard and 21.5% for the Eleven Confessions (Estate) Vineyard. It was produced using 42% whole cluster and aged for around 21 months in French oak, 6% new (bottled June 21, 2017). It offers up a deep garnet-purple color and notes of dried Mediterranean herbs, dusty earth, Chinese five spice and rose petals over a core of red currants, mulberries, red plums and black raspberries, plus a waft of chocolate covered cherries. Full-bodied, decadently concentrated and yet very, very pretty in the mouth, it delivers incredibly fine-grained, ripe tannins and wonderful freshness, finishing on a persistent--totally disarming--perfumed red fruit note. Vinous: "The 1982 Barbaresco Sorì San Lorenzo is laced with sweet red cherries, freshly cut flowers, mint, spices and pine. This is an especially polished, refined San Lorenzo that emphasizes finesse over the power that is more typical of this site, although there is no shortage of tannin. 2003 Montrose, St-Estèphe
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Montrose, St-Estèphe (98RP, 97JS, 96VN, 95WE, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Montrose was served blind in Bordeaux on two occasions. Picked between 11 to 26 September, it is a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. It remains one of the outstanding wines of a very black and white vintage. Without knowledge of the vintage, I was hesitant to suggest 2003, because though there is clearly fruit intensity locked up inside this Saint Estèphe, it is counterbalanced by the estate's trademark masculinity and austerity. So both on the nose and the palate it reaches this happy medium: pure blackberry, graphite and roasted herbs on the nose, perhaps even more elegant than I have observed on previous bottles. The palate is medium-bodied rather than full bodied with sturdy tannins couched in layers of seamless blackberry and cassis fruit, offset by scents of tobacco and graphite. As usual it has immense le

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Pierre Usseglio "Cuvée de Mon Aïeul" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100RP, 99JD, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 1,800 cases of the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Mon Aieul (100% tank-aged Grenache). It represents an awesome naked/virginal expression of Grenache from three vineyard parcels planted in sand, clay, and limestone soils. After tasting this wine on five separate occasions, I can state with certainty, it has the most saturated color of any Mon Aieul produced to date. Moreover, its perfume of blueberry liqueur, black raspberries, licorice, roasted meat juices, and lavender is incredible. Full-bodied power, a multilayered mouthfeel, tremendous purity, and awesome concentration put this wine in a class by itself. This sensational Chateauneuf du Pape is still very young, and 3-4 years of cellaring is required. It should be a modern day legend and last for nearly two decades. (RP)" (10/2009)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Merry Edwards "Meredith Estate" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95WE, 92ST, 92WS, 91BH). Wine Enthusiast: "This is an amazingly complex wine and a fine expression of the cool vintage. Perhaps the most notable feature is acidity; it’s strong, almost tingly, and will certainly help the wine age. The flavors are explosive yet refined, with notes of cherries, cola, pomegranates and plums. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Kistler "Trenton Roadhouse" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (94RP, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Kistler’s 2010 Chardonnay Trenton Roadhouse is one of the bigger, richer wines in this lineup, but at the same time, there is a huge center of minerality running in the fruit. Orange blossoms, nectarines and tropical all make an appearance in this striking, totally exciting Chardonnay. At times, the Trenton Roadhouse appears to have the structure and frame of a red wine, yet all the elements are in the right place. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 1,580 cases of the 2012 James Berry Vineyard and it reminds me of the 2009 Janasse Chaupin (which is one of Justin’s favorite wines). Incorporating more Mourvedre than normal, it’s made from 43% Grenache, 29% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah and 10% Counoise that’s aged in a combination of concrete and barrel. Rock star stuff, with fabulous black raspberry, cassis, spring flowers and charred meat aromas and flavors, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness and depth, yet stays lively, incredibly pure and elegant, with lots of fine tannin emerging on the finish. Dark red cherry, crushed flowers, mint and spice fill out in the glass. At eighteen years of age, the 1997 tastes more like a ten year-old wine! Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Kenwood "Artist Series" Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93WE). Wine Enthusiast: "From one of the largest and most highly touted vintages in a great decade, this is large and fairly fat. The cassis, fruitcake and menthol nose and sweet blackberry and chocolate palate aim to please…and do just that. It feels a bit low in acidity, making it lush and forward, displaying a bit of heat and a looser structure. Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The Grand Daddy knocks it out of the ballpark! Just loaded with notions of blackcurrants, blueberries, violets, Asian spices, and chocolate, this beauty hits the palate with a phenomenal texture, full-bodied richness, and ultra-fine tannin. 1970 Beaulieu Vineyard "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1970 Beaulieu Vineyard "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (91RP, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is a very fine mature Californian Cabernet from one its stalwarts. The nose is slightly volatile at first, but calms down with aeration to reveal notes of black olive, Chai tea, a touch of the old farmyard although it is not bretty in any way. Throughout its time in glass it seems to become sweeter and riper and this comes through on the palate, which is plump at first, become more tart as it interacts with the air. Sweet Dorset plum, umeboshi and wild strawberry towards the finish with just a faint hint of peppermint on the aftertaste. This has lasted very well. (NM)" (07/2011)

2006 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (100RP, 98JD, 97WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Syrah Reva, coming from parcels of dark, volcanic soil, has off-the-chart richness and intensity. This thick, opaque-purple colored wine offers up notes of scorched earth, ground pepper, and blackberry liqueur intermixed with cassis, licorice, camphor, and tar. The wine is spectacular in every sense. Full-bodied and certainly not for wimps, this is a remarkably concentrated yet very nuanced and intense wine that should age for 20 more years. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2013 Pinot Noir Bearwallow Vineyard is as sexy and fruit driven as the wines from this estate get. Giving up tons of strawberries, blueberries, crushed violets and assorted floral notes, it's upfront and layered on the palate, with plenty of fruit, good concentration and a big finish. Shining for its mouth filling fruit and texture, it's still far from blowsy or soft, and should evolve nicely. (JD)" (10/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Paul Autard "Cuvée La Côte Ronde" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (94RP, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee La Cote Ronde is undeniably the best wine Autard has made since the 1998 rendition of this cuvee. This got a big “Wow!” when I smelled it. A stunning nose of black truffles, melted licorice, blackberries, and sweet cherries is followed by a multi-dimensional, multi-layered, full-bodied wine with tremendous power, richness, and a hint of barrique. One could say this is modern, but the Provencal personality jumps from the glass of this meaty, dense wine. (RP)" (10/2007)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Le Serre Nuove" Bolgheri (94RP, 91JS, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "It is fascinating to taste the 2006 Le Serre Nuove (magnum), the second wine of Ornellaia, in this setting, as it shows quite well, especially next to some of the Ornellaias from smaller vintages. Le Serre Nuove is naturally made to be more accessible than Ornellaia and contains a higher percentage of Merlot, which gives it a touch more roundness. The fleshy, generous 2006 Le Serre Nuove offers terrific balance in an enveloping, warm expression of this important vintage. I have little doubt that current vintages of Le Serre Nuove are actually better wines than the early vintages of Ornellaia, which highlights how much viticulture and oenology have developed here over the last 20+ years. The 2006 Le Serre Nuove is 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot. The estate employs shorter fermentation and maceration times lasting

2007 Bodegas Alto Moncayo "Aquilon" Campo de Borja
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Bodegas Alto Moncayo "Aquilon" Campo de Borja (95RP, 95ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The flagship 2007 Aquilon is 100% Garnacha from hillside vineyards planted between 1910 and 1967. It was also aged for 17 months in new French and American oak. A glass-coating opaque purple/black color, it offers up a brooding bouquet of tar, licorice, pencil lead, Asian spices, black cherry, and black raspberry. Dense, layered, incipiently complex, and powerful, it is more structured than the Alto Moncayo and will benefit from 5-7 years of additional cellaring. It will offer a drinking window extending from 2015-2037. (JM)" (04/2010)

The palate is medium-bodied, very fine, refreshing and elegant with tons of fig and nut layers and a long, spice box-laced finish. This is mature. (LPB)" (05/2018)

Of the 2002 Diamond Creek "Volcanic Hill" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Volcanic Hill (an 8-acre, south-facing parcel) comes from white volcanic ash soils called 'tufa.' It is an extraordinarily young, full-bodied Cabernet offering plenty of blackberry, cassis, white chocolate and crushed rock characteristics along with huge tannins. In fact, I thought it was even more backward than the Red Rock Terrace or Gravelly Meadow. Intense and full with fabulous potential, this is another compelling effort from Diamond Creek. Bid on this bottle of 2014 Macdonald Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, (93-96VN)). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon from MacDonald comes from the To Kalon Vineyard just outside of Oakville. It’s a classic 2014 possessing the purity, elegance, and sheer charm that’s the hallmark of this terrific vintage in the Valley. Crème de cassis, black raspberries, crushed flowers, and incense notes all develop with time in the glass, and while it starts out reticent and lightly textured, it gains incredible depth and length over the evening. This is Napa Valley at its most finesse-driven and elegant, and it’s going to drink beautifully for another two decades." (02/2018)

2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L)
Bid on this 1L-bottle of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L) (96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. It is so good now, why wait? 2000 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 2000 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (97RP, 95JS, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2000 Château Pichon Baron is just getting better and better and better. Perhaps the magnum format played its part, but nevertheless...just...wow. This is a millennial Left Bank with the keys to the top drawer. It has an incredibly precise, mineral-driven bouquet with intense black fruit infused with cedar and graphite scents. It just reeks of Pauillac in an almost uncompromising, yet compelling manner. The palate is structured, stylish and effortless, extraordinarily pure and unerringly youthful. This is a Pichon Baron saying, 'You ain't seen nothing yet.' You could broach this now if you wanted, but the clever people will wisely bunker this for another decade and gloat from 2025 onward. (NM)" (07/2016)

2010 Gerard Boulay Sancerre Chavignol Clos du Beaujeu
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Gerard Boulay Sancerre Chavignol Clos du Beaujeu (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Strong oil and fusil notes combine with pungent lime and grapefruit zest, green herbs, and suggestions of iodine in the complex and penetrating nose of Boulay’s 2010 Sancerre Clos de Beaujeu, setting the tone for a brightly and juicily citric, herb- and mineral-saturated palate performance, over which a bittersweet floral perfume hangs alluringly. This finishes with tingling brightness, zesty piquancy, mouthwatering salinity and grip, albeit less long-lined and diversely mineral than the corresponding Mont Damnes. And like that wine, it became more expressive after it had been open for half an hour. Here is another candidate for at least a decade’s cellaring, though it could certainly be drunk without regret today. In a reversal of the procedure Boulay followed with this year’s Mont Damnes, the Clos de Beaujeu fermented in tank and was then raised in assorted (older

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The sensationally pure and seamless 2014 James Berry Vineyard Proprietary Red (42% Grenache, 24% Mourvèdre, 21% Syrah, 8% Counoise and 5% Roussanne) was brought up in a mix of barrels and foudre, followed by six months in concrete tanks. The wine offers incredibly rich and layered notes of black raspberries, creme de cassis, crushed flowers, melted licorice and peppery herbs in its full-bodied, impeccably balanced profile. Showing the more upfront, hedonistic style of the vintage, this full-bodied beauty still has ample underlying tannin, beautiful mid-palate depth and a killer finish that keeps you coming back for more. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Barolo Pajana reveals incredible aromatic complexity and intensity, something this particular site isn’t always capable of. There is lovely definition to be found as this classic feeling, mid-weight Pajana opens up in the glass. Layers of ripe dark fruit, spices, flowers, licorice and minerals develop seamlessly through to the close. I am floored by the wine’s volume, depth and length.
