2004 Foursquare Rum Distillery 11 Year Old "Full Proof" Exceptional Cask Selection Mark III Single Blended Cask Strength Barbados Rum (750ml)

This spectacular single-blended rum is an example of everything that the rum industry should be doing but isn't. Foursquare is among the world's finest rum distilleries and home to one of the industry's great rum purists, Richard Seale--great great grandson of the founder Reginald Leon Seale. Richard is an important voice in rum today and, as master blender for R.L. Seale, he seems poised to be the savior that the rum category so desperately needs. He knows that rum will never attain its full potential while most of the producers rely on sugar and carame... Read More »

2014 Brick House "Cuvée du Tonnelier" Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir (Previously $50)

92 points Vinous: "(30 percent new French oak) Vivid ruby-red. Complex aromas of ripe red and blue fruits, candied rose, cola and oak spices. Sweet and broad on the palate, offering juicy black raspberry, boysenberry and spicecake flavors that are given spine and sharpened by a jolt of zesty acidity. Round, even tannins shape the sweet, velvety finish, which hangs on with impressive tenacity. (JR)" (12/2016) 92 points Wine Spectator: "Lithe, supple and expressive, layered with cherry, cinnamon and floral flavors that come together seamlessly on the long, elegant, mineral-accented finish. Real McCoy 12 Year Old Single Blended Barbados Rum (750ml)

Foursquare distillery on the island of Barbados is quickly becoming a sensation in the aficionado world of rum drinkers and tiki specialists for its pure, unadulterated flavor and transparency as it pertains to age statements and additives. We should add that it tastes pretty darn good, too! While the higher proof editions have become collector's items with those crossing over from the Bourbon scene, the standard 80 proof 12 year old is a soft, supple, and sippable expression that provides the majority of rum drinkers with exactly the experience they're ... 2015 Larmande, St-Emilion

93 points James Suckling: "Aromas of currants, fresh sweet tobacco, flowers, sandalwood and rose petals. Full-bodied, very rich and flavorful with minerals, white pepper and salt and hints of black tea. Intense finish with a bitter undertone for now. Needs a couple of years to come completely together." (4/2018) 91-93 points Wine Enthusiast: "A foursquare wine, this boasts dry, firm tannins that lets the concentrated black-currant flavors slip through. It is solid and will develop well. (RV)" (4/2016) 91 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Saint-Emilion is arguably the most quality rich region in 2015 and the 2015 Château Larmande is certainly worth you ...Read More »

2015 Domaine Bruno Clair Morey St. Denis "En La Rue de Vergy"

90 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This too is super-fresh with its airy nose that combines floral, red currant and evident wet stone scents. The racy and tension-filled flavors possess a really lovely mouth feel if perhaps not quite the overall depth and length as the best of these villages wines." (1/2017) 90 points Vinous: "(from vines planted in the 1980s on rocky soil): Good dark red. Quite reticent on the nose, and a bit diffuse. Then juicy and sweet in the mouth, with soil-driven red berry flavors complicated by red licorice and mineral notes. Good density and breadth here--and a bit more size than usu ...Read More »

2000 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac Back In Stock!
2000 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac

97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beginning to open magnificently, the still dense purple-colored 2000 reveals a blossoming bouquet of blackberries, cassis, graphite and pen ink. Full-bodied with velvety tannins that have resolved themselves beautifully over the last eleven years, this wine is still an adolescent, but it exhibits admirable purity, texture, mouthfeel and power combined with elegance. One of the all-time great examples of Lynch Bages, the 2000 is just beginning to drink well yet promises to last for another 20-25+ years. 2016 Malartic-Lagravière, Pessac-Léognan (Pre-Arrival)

96-98 points Wine Enthusiast: "A powerfully dense, impressive wine from a top-performing estate with a solid, foursquare structure. The crisp acidity so much in evidence in this vintage shines through all this richness. Keep the wine for at least 12 years. (RV)" (4/2017) 95-96 points James Suckling: "This is so linear and refined with compacted fruit and superb tannin texture. The length and beauty to this grab you immediately and make you pay attention. Wait and see." (RV)" (4/2017) 93-96 points Wine Spectator: "The fresh blueberry, cherry and black currant flavors give this a wide range, while racy graphite and a mouthwatering anise streak drive the finish. 2016 Domaine Drouhin-Laroze Clos Vougeot Grand Cru (Pre-Arrival)

92-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An overtly floral nose enjoys added breadth in the form of earthy black cherry and currant aromas that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. Like the Bonnes Mares and Chapelle, the medium weight plus flavors are seductive while displaying excellent intensity on the driving finish that flashes the hallmark austerity of a young Clos de Vougeot. This promising effort will require at least some restraint." (1/2018) 91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru includes 35% whole bunch fruit (the first time ever) and was cropped at just 25 hectoliters per hectare bec ...Read More »

2000 Haut-Bages-Libéral, Pauillac

Drink now through 2023. (JM, Web Only-2016)" 90 points Wine Enthusiast: "This fifth growth is punching above its class under the control of Claire Villars-Lurton (whose family also runs Chasse-Spleen and La Gurgue). 1970 Graham's Vintage Port

94 points John Gilman: "I drank quite a bit of the 1970 Graham’s over the course of the 1990s, but had not crossed paths with a bottle in several years until this most recent example. The wine is superb in 1970, as it displays a bouquet of voluptuous complexity, offering up scents of black cherry, plum, cedar, fresh mint, chocolate, a bit of tobacco leaf, and lovely, estery floral topnotes. On the palate the wine is focused and opulent, with fine framing acidity adding a note of precision to the attack, and with excellent freshness and balance on the softly tannic, long and cre ...Read More »

2007 Raymond-Lafon, Sauternes (375ml)

92-94 points Stephen Tanzer: "Pungent botrytized aromas of apricot, pineapple, orange zest and licorice, lifted by floral high tones. Dense, spicy and thick on the palate, offering superb purity of fruit framed and lifted by ineffable spicy and minty high tones. Not a particularly fat or powerful style; in fact, the perfectly integrated acidity gives shape to the middle palate and extends the finish, which displays late botrytis notes of barley sugar and honey. Plenty of ageing potential here. Try from 2025." (2/2018) 92-94 points Wine Enthusiast: "While there are strong wood flavors here, the wine is also packed with black fruits and ripe tannins. However, watch for those tannins that are firm and dense and will allow the wine to age. Best to wait until 2024. 2003 Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les St. Georges"
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2003 Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les St. Georges" (94ST, 92RP, 90BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Bright, saturated ruby-red. High-pitched nose dominated by violet and minerals. Thick on entry, then superconcentrated but light on its feet in the middle palate, with utterly fresh, sharply delineated flavors of cherry, minerals and spice cake. The huge, broad, fine tannins coat the entire palate. Explosive finishing flavors of sappy blackberry and black raspberry offer uncanny vinosity for the year. Obviously enormous and atypical for Les Saint-Georges, but here's a 2003 that could well enjoy a 25-year evolution in bottle. 94(+?) points." (03/2006)

The exceptionally rich and generously proportioned flavors are unusually seductive in the context of what is typical for the appellation, all wrapped in a velvety, sappy and palate coating finish where a hint of wood appears. This too should drink well young."
