Aberlour A'Bunadh "Batch #58" Cask Strength Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky (750ml)

98 points Wine Enthusiast: "Intriguing and challenging bouquet of aromas of roasted nuts, old leather, black pepper, old oak and dried fruit. Palate entry is aggressive in spirit, but sweet and pruny; midpalate is drier and features tastes of leather and grain. Aftertaste teems with oak resin, hard cheese (meaning, rancio), candied nuts, candied fruit and dark honey. Add mineral water. *Classic - Highest Recommendation*" (12/2009) Whisky Advocate: "Very sweet, with thick hard toffee, stewing dates and figs, molasses, and rum raisin ice cream, before some dark chocolate, dried mint, and orange peel. 2017 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac 6-pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival)

96-97 points James Suckling: "This is incredibly transparent and refined with blackcurrant, blueberry and mineral character. Full-bodied, layered and ethereal. Tannins have a crushed-stone character. Long and persistent." (4/2018) 95-97 points Wine Enthusiast: "Firm structure supports the luscious fruit flavors—this is a richly generous wine. Finely integrated tannins are layered with ripe black currant notes. As often with this biodynamic estate, the purity of the fruit is outstanding and concentrated. It will age well over many years, but is enjoyable young. (RV)" (4/2018) 94-96 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Described as a mix of his 2015 and 2016 by ...Read More »

Luscious and muscular at the same time." (4/2018) 96-98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Château Margaux charges from the gate with opulent kirsch, raspberry preserves, wild blueberries and cassis notions accented by roses, violets, Chinese five spice and fragrant earth with touches of underbrush and truffles. Mas Codina Cava Brut Reserva Penedès Back In Stock!
Mas Codina Cava Brut Reserva Penedès

Mas Codina is a 40 hectare estate in Penedès which dates back to 1681. This Brut Reserva Cava was hand-harvested from 20 to 30-year-old vines and estate bottled. Though it does not say it on the label, the current disgorgement is based entirely on the 2014 harvest. Vines are planted in calcareous and sandy clay soils which keep the wine minerally and lively. The wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle, and is aged on its lees for a minimum of two years before disgorgement. Varietals include Macabeo, Xarel-lo, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. 100% ... Read More »

2014 Wines Of Substance Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Back In Stock!
2014 Wines Of Substance Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The straight 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is outstanding. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, native fermented, aged in French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered, it’s a killer value that has lots of blue fruits, violets, graphite and leafy herbs in medium to full-bodied, concentrated, layered style. Savvy readers should buy a case of this and drink bottles over the coming 4-5 years, although I see no reason that it won’t keep longer either. A substantial change with the K Vintners/Charles Smith wines is the separation of the Rhone blends and the Bordeaux ...Read More »

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cotes du Roussillon Villages Latour de France Occultum Lapidem offers dark, mineral-laced aromas and flavors of smoked earth, licorice, wild herbs and blackcurrants to go with a firm, structured and age-worthy profile on the palate. Comprised of mostly Syrah, from schist and gneiss soils, and aged in tank and demi-muid, this superb 2012 has solid mid-palate depth, ample tannin and a beautifully focused finish. It’s a superb value that will be even better in another year or so, and have 12-15 years of ultimate longevity." (4/2014) K&L Notes: According to Jeb ... Read More »

97 points James Suckling: "What a wine for the vintage, with spices and furniture wax undertones, then dried citrus fruit. Great intensity in this, powerful stuff. Perhaps the best 2005." (4/2012) 96 points Wine & Spirits: "Bright gold. Perfectly balanced. Not sweet, and yet explosively sweet with flavors of fresh nectarine, scents of jasmine and honeysuckle. The sweetness pours out of the freshness, so it's impossible to taste them apart. The flavors last, perhaps because it's the kind of wine you'll want to roll around in your mouth over and over. Excellent concentration and balance. Loads of botrytis character on the finish. Intense. Hard to refrain from drinking it now, it's so luscious and rich. *Top 100 of 2004, Highly Recommended* (JS)" (9/2004) 95 points James Suckling: "Intensely fruity and rich with wonderful sweetness and loads of spicy and honey character with a dried apricot undertone. 2001 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Caymus has been around for so long there is a tendency to under-estimate their wines. However, they have a brilliant track record as evidenced by the decade old 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage Selection. Abundant chocolaty, black currant, licorice and coffee aromas soar from the glass of this perfumed wine. It exhibits an opaque ruby/purple color, wonderful opulence, a deep, full-bodied mouthfeel, fabulous depth and not a hard edge to be found. Something special. *Wine of the Year for 2002* (PM)" (11/2002) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Guigal's 1999 Chateauneuf du Pape (85% Grenache) is a sweet, aromatic effort displaying notes of kirsch liqueur, Havana tobacco, cedar, dried Provencal herbs, and hints of pepper as well as balsam wood. (1/2006) Wine Spectator: "Aromas of tobacco, berries and cherry, with coffee bean undertones that follow through to a medium-bodied palate. Good tannins and a medium finish. (Web-2007)" K&L Notes: Poujeaux can definitely be considered one of the best and most consistent price-performers in Bordeaux. Alfred Tesseron is making excellent wine nearly every year now. One of the few 2002s better than 2001. (JS)" (3/2005) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "asted at Bordeaux Index’s Pontet-Canet dinner at The Ledbury. Compared to more recent vintages, the 2002 certainly has a lighter, perhaps more straightforward nose with blackberry, bay leaf and just a hint of liquorice. The tannins are certainly there, but they come through as big, bold richness. The power suggests it will age well, but for drinking earlier, the freshness of the sweet homemade plum jam promises well. (RV)" (3/2009) 93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep ruby-red. Expressive aromas of dark raspberry, smoked meat, black olive, iron, smoke and tobacco. Ultimately conveys a rather austere impression, with the finish showing a tart quality and firm tannic spine." (6/2006) Wine Spectator: "Tea leaf aromas, with raspberry and blackberry, lead to a medium-to-full body, with soft, silky tannins and a pretty aftertaste. Best after 2008. 1999 Beaulieu Vineyard "Tapestry Reserve" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend

90 points Connoisseurs Guide: "Rich in oak and rich in fruit, this deep, well-ripened offering delivers a solid measure of cassis with a wealth of vanilla and a mild overlay of dusty spice. It is moderately full-bodied and nicely balanced in feel, and its sense of developing suppleness portends very good things to come. It is also fairly tannic and a little too rough to commend for present drinking, but its admirable fruit emerges intact at the finish and points the way to four or five years of steady improvement." 99 points James Suckling: "Super fresh, this is striking given the 10 years in the cellars; it has a fine citrus nose - plenty of lemon, grapefruit, yellow chalky notes, some lighter floral elements too. The palate is super dry (dosage at 3-4g) and there's a silky, sherbet-like texture, smooth, fine and long. The citrus flavours give way to the driving surging acidity, thunderous acidity, really driving and powerful. An excellent vintage for Figeac." (8/2002) 90 points Wine Spectator: "Ruby color. Interesting aromas of plums, leaves and berries. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a ripe fruit and chocolate aftertaste. Rich and chunky Figeac." (8/2000) Jancis Robinson: "In magnum. Sweet and lovely. Is this on its way t ...Read More »

2007 Pian dell'Orino Brunello di Montalcino

97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino is more than a worthy follow up to the spectacular 2006. Freshly cut flowers, violets, licorice, leather and tar meld into layers of dark fruit in a dazzling display of elegance and power. Silky tannins and expressive perfumed notes both add further refinement on the huge, explosive finish. The combination of ripeness of the year allied to a classic sense of structure is immensely appealing. This is one of the few 2007s I tasted that still needs time in the cellar, even though today it is flat-out stunning. Anticipated mat ...Read More »

2005 La Tour Blanche, Sauternes Back In Stock!
2005 La Tour Blanche, Sauternes

94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Extravagantly rich, this is dense and supersweet initially, just balanced with acidity. The botrytis dryness is really not here at this stage, but with its elegant creamy texture, wood flavors still very present. This is still at the very beginning of its development. (RV)" (6/2008) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the 10-Year On Tasting in Sauternes. The 2005 Château La Tour Blanche has a complex nose with lemon sherbet, orange sorbet, honey and jasmine all soaring from the glass without a care in the world. 2005 Climens, Barsac (375ml)

97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the 10-Year On Tasting in Sauternes. The 2005 Château Climens just soars from the glass with layers of clear honey, marmalade, nectarine and minerals all beautifully carved. The palate is medium-bodied with fresh, vibrant honeyed fruit that builds and builds in the mouth in tandem with a killer line of acidity. Even though it is a convincing, great Climens, you also have the impression that it is only just beginning to show what it is capable of.
