Roederer Estate Anderson Valley Brut Rosé Sparkling Wine
Sleek and rich, with floral strawberry and sugar cookie aromas and elegant, layered citrus, tart cherry and mineral flavors that linger toward a vibrant, lightly spicy finish.
This is a mouthfilling, plush-textured, copper colored bubbly with hints of cherry and raspberry in the ripe flavors, firm acidity to balance them and tiny bubbles to keep it all lively. Made with 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, it finishes with a slightly sweet sensation.
There are more than a few Blanc de Noirs bottlings that show a bit of Rosé-like substance and grip, but the tables are turned here, and, while labeled as a Rosé, this one is a lighter and livelier wine that recalls Blanc de Noirs. It is fully and persistently bubbled, and its crispness invites drinking with food. It shows a bit of same sophistication that we find in the Roederer Brut, and we would not be surprised if it gains a bit more with age.
Wine & Spirits
This wine’s bright and simple flavors have joyous effervescence on their side. It’s a rich pink with scents of apple skin as well as strawberries and cream. For toasts.
As with all Roederer Estate wines, the Brut Rosé is comprised of 100 percent estate-grown grapes. Oak-aged wines from the Estate's reserve cellars are added to the blend, creating a multi-vintage cuvée in the traditional Roederer style. The Roederer Estate Brut Rosé is full and round with smooth flavors and fine persistent bubbles. The extra measure of Chardonnay contributes elegance and austerity, which balance nicely with the delicate fruitiness of the Pinot Noir.
