2009 Mauvais Garçon "Bad Boy" Bordeaux
Deep and rich, with dark chocolate, blueberries and spices. Full body, with velvety tannins and a long, long finish. Very polished and sexy. Very pretty. Best after 2016.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The best wine under this moniker that Jean-Luc Thunevin has yet produced, his homage to himself (or is it me?) is a delicious, fruit-forward sleeper of the vintage. Oodles of black currants, kirsch, licorice and spice jump from the glass of this medium-bodied, surprisingly concentrated wine that leaves a substantial tactile impression on the palate. Drink it over the next several years. Bravo!
This is a ripe, forward wine with friendly plum, licorice snap and dark spice notes and a soft, fleshy finish. Drink now. (Web-2012)
