2010 Lagier Meredith Mount Veeder Mondeuse
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Lagier Meredith’s 2010 Mondeuse is another big wine endowed with tons of depth. Freshly cut flowers, spices, mint and sweet dark cherries all come together in the glass. The 2010 deftly marries inner sweetness, expressive fruit and imposing structural elements. Hints of mint, sweet herbs and candied cherries linger on the finish. It will be interesting to see how the 2010 ages. Today, it is drop-dead gorgeous and totally intriguing. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025. I was completely thrilled with the two wines I tasted from Lagier Meredith this year.
Very tightly wound, but rewards unwrapping. The dense plum, blueberry and blackberry flavors are concentrated, and the acidity and tannins are well-proportioned. Ends with a burst of pepperlaced red and black fruit. Drink now through 2022.
