2006 Argiano "L'Orciaia" Brunello di Montalcino
This wonderful Brunello opens with sultry aromas of black fruit, cherry, spice, leather and tobacco. It’s a rich and penetrating wine with a soft, lush mouthfeel and a hint of crisp acidity on the close. You’ll want to keep this treasure in your cellar for a few more years.
In 1581, at the summit of a wonderful hill, south-west of Montalcino, the Villa of Argiano was built among vineyards and olive groves. Under the management of Countess Noemi Marone Cinzano, Argiano embarked, in 1992 and thanks to the oenological guidance of the famous master Giacomo Tachis, in a journey committed to the highest standards of quality. Adriano Bambagioni, Argiano’s supervising cellar master for over 20 years, and the Danish winemaker Hans Vinding-Diers, of world famous reputation, are responsible for this single vineyard, and quite rare Brunello.
