2010 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Dunn's 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is off the charts. Inky, rich and deep, the 2010 possesses stunning depth, power and richness. Plums, black cherries, mocha, melted road tar and licorice. Layers of fruit build to a huge, textured finish. There is so much to look forward to here, but most of it will happen in the future. This is a dazzling showing. Drinking Window 2020-2040.
Fabulous aromas of currants, licorice and eucalyptus. Full body with an intense backbone of acidity and tannins. Chewy but wonderfully polished. Turns to terracotta. Firm and silky. Great wine. Try it in 2018. 3,000 cases.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The flagship wine comes from their high elevation vineyards on Howell Mountain. The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain possesses stunning minerality as well as sweet notes of ink, acacia flowers, blueberries and blackberries. Thick, unctuously textured and full-bodied with terrific concentration and density, it should drink well for two decades. (RP)

Saturated ruby-red. A black hole of a nose, hinting at blackberry, medicinal black cherry and menthol. Quite perfumed in the mouth but youthfully tight in spite of its velvety texture, conveying terrific intensity and lift to the flavors of boysenberry, blackberry, redcurrant, minerals and black pepper. Really outstanding saline depth here. A great young Dunn Howell Mountain in the making: it's built for long aging but there's nothing hard about it in the early going.
ery tight, dense and powerful, targeting dark berry, black licorice, fresh herb, crushed rock, and subtle floral and herb notes. The tannins grip and hang on, but the flavors push through. A textbook version. Best from 2015 through 2023.
