SKU #480028 93 points Wine Enthusiast

This is an assertive, flavorful and robust wine, with a medium to full body, a mouthfilling texture and fine-beaded bubbles. A creamy viscosity and wonderful layers of butter, apple, vanilla and ginger make for a delicious palate. *Editors' Choice* (JG) (12/2017)

92 points Wine & Spirits

This is a distinctly rich and complex release of Roederer Brut, its savory notes of yeast autolysis building the creamy texture even as the wine remains elegant and fresh. The wine’s inherent fruit sweetness will engage with crab. (12/2017)

92 points Wine Spectator

A voluptuous and expressive sparkler, with floral red apple, brioche and cinnamon spice aromas and rich, vibrant flavors that finish on a luxurious note. (TF) (8/2017)

90 points Connoisseurs Guide

Over the years, Roederer Estate’s basic Brut bottling has been remarkably consistent and as reliably well-made as any, and this most recent offering once again comes up a winner. It is lightly fruity and shows a sleek, green-apple underpinning to its creamy themes of autolyzed yeast, and it earns high marks for both its careful balance and its fine and persistent mousse. It is, as always, a well-crafted sparkler that ranks among the best of its genre, and its modest price only adds to its considerable appeal. *Good Value* (12/2017)

K&L Notes

Founded in 1982, Roederer Estate is nestled in Mendocino County's cool, fog-shrouded Anderson Valley. As the California outpost of Champagne Louis Roederer, Roederer Estate builds upon a centuries-old tradition of fine winemaking. Roederer Estate's sparkling wines are produced using only grapes from the winery's own vineyards. Carrying on the tradition of Champagne Louis Roederer in France, special oak-aged reserve wines are added to each blend.

After tasting the Roeder Estate Anderson Valley Brut Sparkling Wine, it’s hard to believe that it is a domestic sparkling and that it only costs $21.99! What sets this domestic sparkling apart from the rest is how dry it tastes. I always have a problem with how high the dosage levels are in domestic sparkling wines but not with the Roederer Estate Brut. The nose is bright and lively with fresh pear, tangerine and clean bread yeast notes. And while the palate is friendly and accessible with riper pome fruit and clean melon flavors, this domestic brut finishes precise and focused.

One of the finest sparkling wines in the world. Made with great care and precision by winemaker/General Manager Arnaud Weyrich. A leaner style of sparkling wine with a minerality and depth punctuated by a lush mid palate. Approximately 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir. Aged a minimum of two years on the yeast. A tasty sparkling for any occasion.

This has a vibrant spiced pear and melon character. It sees little to no malolactic fermentation, giving it a racing stripe of acidity that keeps the wine focused. We also have this beauty, which was awarded 90 points by Wine & Spirits Magazine, in magnum .

The fine viticultural Region within California, including the Napa Valley, Sonoma, Santa Cruz Mountains, Mendocino and Santa Barbara, are capable of growing grapes of world-class quality. But there's plenty of fabulous wine coming from other states, too. Oregon, Washington and New York are also causing eyebrows (and glassware) to be raised around the world. California

- With the explosive growth that California's wine industry has seen the past several years, it's easy to view winemaking and grape growing in the Golden State as a recent phenomenon. Due to the enormous response to California wine within the United States and worldwide, there are thousands of excellent and diverse wines being produced within the state each year.
