2012 Domaine de la Tournelle "Trousseau des Corvées" Arbois

SKU #1169291

Since its founding in 1991, the tiny Domaine de la Tournelle in France's Jura has grown from less than a hectare to six hectares of the region's unique varietals, including the Trousseau that goes into this lovely wine. The grapes, a massale selection, are certified biodynamic by Demeter and are aged in older wooden foudres for 12 months before bottling. Bright, with a fresh raspberry personality, the wine's delicate texture is wonderfully appealing, especially with picnic fare or charcuterie.

Another outrageous wine from the magnificent Domaine De La Tournelle. Aromas of fresh soil, wild strawberries, fresh roasted beets, slight herbal quality. As with all the Tournelle wines, the focus and purity on the palate is absolutely first rate. Awesome acidity complemented by the perfect presence of a soft lengthy tannin. A wonderful effort.
