2012 Fournier Urban Uco Malbec
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2012 Urban Uco Malbec spent three months in oak barrels. The bouquet is well-defined with blackberry, boysenberry, touches of dark chocolate and anise. The palate offers chunky black fruit on the entry. It is fresh, a little rough round the edges, but true to what an unadulterated Malbec should be. For this price: unbeatable. Drink now-2015.
A firm hot stone note and medium tannins support the dark black currant and spicy plum fruit. A mineral element returns in the end. Drink now.
Not to be confused with the hugely popular Malbec-Tempranillo bottling, this is still nonetheless another delicious wine from Urban Uco. 100% Malbec makes up the wine. Juicy, dark fruited, rich, balanced and very complete on the palate, this is sure to satisfy fans of our other Urban Uco wine, as well as anyone else who simply wants a tasty bottle of red for a very affordable price.
