 (from Vaulorent). There is a lovely range of aromas present here with both white and yellow orchard fruit, sea shore scents and smoke, all topped by a note of mineral reduction. There is outstanding richness to the powerful and impressively concentrated middle weight flavors that retain a racy mouth feel thanks to the bracing acidity that imparts a real sense of lift to the driving finish.  The 2012 Chablis Fourchaume is at first aromatic and light on its feet, until the bright, intense minerality hits the palate. There is an almost exotic quality to the white floral notes in the Fourchaume. Graceful and delicate on its feet, the 2012 is also one of the more ethereal wines in this range. Hints of lime, oyster shells and smoke are layered into the bright, precise finish. Fevre's Fourchaume is all Vaulorent fruit.  (8/2013)

 Tasted assembled from tank, the Fevre 2012 Chablis Fourchaume hints in its nose of fresh lime and chalk dust (accompanied by leafy notes) at the brightness and sense of stony suffusion that go on to characterize its firm palate. As with the corresponding Beauroy – and certainly aided by the 50% share of this that originates in Vaulorent – Fevre has here managed in some sense to defy Fourchaume’s typical tendency to generate breadth and rusticity. Apple core mingles with fresh citrus and salt for a tart, piquant, mouthwatering finish of truly prodigious persistence. Look for impressive showings through at least 2017.  (8/2013)

 Pale, bright yellow-green. Reticent nose hints at pineapple, white mushroom and toast. Then juicy, silky and dense if not as sharply delineated as the last couple of premier crus, with ripe stone fruit flavors avoiding any exotic character. Finishes with a slight youthful aggressiveness but noteworthy slow-building persistence.  (8/2013)
