2009 Buoncristiani Family Winery "O.P.C." Napa Valley Red Blend
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2009 Red Blend OPC Proprietary Red Wine is another terrific wine. Mint, sweet herbs, violets and plums caress the palate as this unusual blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah, 16% Merlot and 14% Malbec opens up in the glass. Silky tannins contribute to an impression of finesse and total harmony. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019.

Red-ruby. Very ripe aromas of black raspberry, chocolate, cola and nutty oak. Sweet, lush and fine-grained on entry, then framed by a solid edge of acidity in the middle, with dark berry and violet flavors complicated by mint and game. Finishes dry and classic, with fine-grained tannins and a faintly roasted aspect...
Notably spicy and cedary, with a firm yet graceful mix of dried berry, sage and tobacco smoke. Very complete, if a tad rustic and tannic. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Malbec. Drink now through 2021. (Web-2013)
