2008 La Monacesca "Mirum" Verdicchio di Matelica Riserva

SKU #1143448

This is a wonderfully special wine, only made in the finest vintages. The folks at La Monacesca use extra ripe Verdicchio that is highly aromatic, revealing notes of roasted almonds, lemon, orange, mineral and honey, with a touch of brioche. Amazingly rich on the palate, but balanced too, and it will only get better with some age. Drink it with fresh cheeses, affetati platters or veal saltimbocca.

First thing that grabs you is the wonderful golden hue in the glass. You know you are in for something special! Nose opens up to herbal and citrus notes of rosemary and lemon zest. Lovely array of mineral and sea salt which makes it ideal with anything from the sea. May a stuffed Branzino await you!
