Green Mark (Zelyonaya Marka) Russian Vodka (750ml)
Zelyonaya Marka's history began in 1920 in Russia, it was then that under the Ministry of Agriculture, the Glavspirttrest agency was created. Between 1920 and 1950 this agency conducted very strict quality control and was responsible for the sale of alcohol in the country. Glavspirttrest became a synonym for quality vodka, as all vodka in the country had to meet certain high quality standards. Only vodka that successfully passed all steps of strict quality control received an approval of Glavspirttrest - the coveted Green Mark seal of excellence. A "Green Mark" seal was only given to the very finest of vodkas, and created a benchmark for distilleries. Today, Zelyonaya Marka is the third best selling vodka in the world, despite the fact that it's never been sold in the United States until now. The quality is spectacular, showcasing purity and a clean-finishing palate that rivals more $30-$40 vodkas. For the money, we're not sure it gets any better than this for vodka drinkers.
