2012 Château Viranel "Tradition" Coteaux du Languedoc Blanc (Previously $13)

SKU #1131893

Château Viranel is a small family run domaine located in the picturesque Languedoc appellation of Saint-Chinian. This classic Langeudoc white offers up a fruity, fresh and delicate nose dominated by citrus, lifted by notes of white flowers and apricot. The taste is nearly astonishing with its balance and harmony. The finish is long and mineral with great finesse. The two very different areas where white Grenache grow give this wine great balance, a blend of richness and freshness, fruit and minerality. 80% Grenache blanc, 15% Roussanne, 5% Bourboulenc. 13% abv.

Virnel's Coteaux du Languedoc white reminds me of summer in a glass! White nectarines and fresh peach are what immediately come to mind for me. This is a great white to feature at dinner parties where you'll be hosting a variety of winedrinking tastes. Viranel's blanc is juicy enough to satisfy those who enjoy hearter whites, while also fresh enough to please folks who enjoy brighter and more fresh wines.
