2011 Daruvar Grasevina Slavonia
100% Grasevina - Daruvar is a spa town located in the western part of the Croatian plains, on the foothills of the Papuk mountain. The traditions of wine making have gone on in these fertile undulating hills for more than 2200 years. The medium sized Daruvar co-op specializes in white varieties with a special emphasis on the locally favored Grasavina grape. This ancient grape produces delicate fresh wines with light aromas of orchard fruits and tree blossom with a texture both creamy and vivacious. Fermented and briefly aged in stainless steel before bottling, it will compliment very light fresh cheeses, mild fish dishes and summer vegetables. It is also most refreshing with anything spicy.
