In the best wines from the slopes of Etna, some say, the volcanic quality expressed by the grapes can almost be felt as well as tasted. It's certainly the source of some of the most interesting wines coming out of Europe. For four generations, the Gangemi family has been devoting itself to viticulture and to the improvement of autochthonous Sicilian vines. This is made from the varietal traditional to the slopes of Etna, the Nerello Mascalese grape.
