Bulleit 10 Year Old Bourbon Whiskey (750ml)

SKU #1122819 91 points Wine Enthusiast

Rich and creamy, this small-batch bourbon offers butterscotch laced with bitter chocolate and orange peel, edged with a clove and cinnamon finish. Muscular alcohol feel. (7/2013)

Whisky Advocate

The new, elder sibling to the standard Bulleit. It shows the Bulleit personality, but it’s deeper and drier on the nose and palate (as would be expected), with more oak, dried orchard fruit, and dark berried fruit, along with a hint of barrel char, leather, vanilla powder, and a dusting of cinnamon. I’d save this as a postprandial bourbon, and opt for the standard Bulleit as an aperitif. (Vol. 22, #2)

K&L Notes

**Gold Medal 2013 San Francisco World Spirits Competition** Here is the new offering from Bulleit. It's 10 years old and likely (although not confirmed) sourced from the excellent Four Roses Distillery. Not as overtly spicy as the standard Bulleit, the extra time in barrel has given this a powerful oaky vanilla nose. On the palate, it remains balanced with enough sweetness to balance the powerful oak spice. While, not an in your face, spike the ball style of whiskey, this should make most bourbon fans exceedingly pleased. (David Othenin-Girard, K&L Spirits buyer)

Bulleit 10 offers big spice and rounded oak flavors to bourbon fans looking for polished and balanced nuance rather than power and high proof. Good stuff.

The 10 year old Bulleit Bourbon is delicious and wonderful. I like the younger Bulleit alot but he extra aging brings out more complexity, keeps the juicy easy drinking aspects, and makes a great drink. This is a wonderful sipping Bourbon.

United States

- When people consider domestic wine, they normally think about the state of California. The fine viticultural Region within California, including the Napa Valley, Sonoma, Santa Cruz Mountains, Mendocino and Santa Barbara, are capable of growing grapes of world-class quality. But there's plenty of fabulous wine coming from other states, too. Oregon, Washington and New York are also causing eyebrows (and glassware) to be raised around the world.
