2009 Ca' del Vent Cellatica Rosso

SKU #1108670

This is an extremely cool wine from the Lombardia region, the sparkling wine area of Francicorta to be exact. A blend of several different varietals, but mostly Barbara (which has it's most famous home to the west in Piemonte) and Marzemino (which is more famously known to the east in Trentino). Bursting with ripe cherry fruit, some sweet herbs, soft caressing tannins and a pleasant streak of acidity, this is a wine I'd have a hard time understanding if someone didn't like it. Serve with a slight chill if it's warm outside, incredibly food friendly and versitile. (Chris Miller, K&L Hollywood Italian wine specialist)
