Moving beyond its inviting, attractive yellow and black label and into the bottle promises to be a richly-rewarding experience, as this predominantly Merlot based wine unveils itself in the glass with a wealth of appealing aromas— blackberries, currants, fig compote, plums, spicy oak, reminiscent of an exuberant Rubens painting, ripe, abundant and robustly fleshy. Multi-dimensional, layered and mouthwateringly compelling, this lovely, textural wine will evolve for several more years, but no one can blame you for decanting and enjoying tomorrow.

A huge hit at my July Bordeaux tasting in San Francisco and an amazing value as well. This has lots of up front crunchy red fruits as well as flavors and aromas of coffee grounds, cocoa, toast and mineral. Although flashy and jammy this has a wonderful limestone laced finish that adds great length and detail.

On the nose is plenty of toasty oak, coffee and heady blackberry. The rich textured palate is filled with blackberry, coffee and roasted spices. The toasty finish has a slight campfire aroma that lingers around the black fruit.
