Flama Roja Cava Brut Tarragona

SKU #1092057

This is delicious cava, one that you may find quite distinctive from many of the other $15 and under Cava offerings out there. A few reasons for that: 1.) The grapes are grown sustainably, picked riper than the usual for cava production; 2.) Harvesting is by hand only 3.) There is a larger portion of Macabeo grapes in the blend, providing real brightness and a delicious, creamy mouthfeel and minerality. Though the D.O. of Tarragona often gets short shrift compared to their neighbors up north in Penedes, if the quality of this Cava is any indication, that will soon change. For $12, this is easily one of our very best values in sparkling wine.

Grown in the southern part of Catalonia, creating a richer, rounder style different from our other Cava offerings, this Macabeo/Parellada blend has a riper & creamier textural mouthfeel. Mineral, apple, toast, incredibly well-balanced, with a subtle sweetness of fruit in the finish. An absolute steal for $11.99!
