2009 Pouget, Margaux
Currant and blackberry galore on the nose, but the palate seems subtle and beautiful. Full-bodied, with wonderful silky tannins and a mineral, mint and berry aftertaste. Such delicious fruit here. (Web-2010)
Real Margaux nose with violets and cassis seamlessly interwoven. Lovely quality of fruit on the palate with layered. Textured complexity. Tannins beautifully managed, excellent length and persistence, very complete wine. (AG) Dense black red colour and fine fragrant black fruits on the nose, lots of concentration, but there is elegance and lift to come out from what is currently a rather four-square wine. Robust and chunky now, very good for the future. (SS)
Barrel tasting: *½V? We haven't ever carried the wines from this small property, but their 2009 sings. Sweet black raspberry aromas and flavors. A bit new wave, but in fine balance. Easy to drink now.
