2009 Antech "Cuvee Eugenie" Cremant de Limoux

SKU #1080974

From La Maison Antech located in the southern French region of the Languedoc comes this beautiful example of Cremant de Limoux. Named after the grande dame of the estate Eugenie Limouzy, this Cremant is composed of 50% chardonnay, 40% chenin blanc and 10% mauzac. It is produced along the lines of methode champenoise and spends twelve months on the lees before being disgorged. This balanced and elegant sparkling wine reveals subtle hints of citrus fruits, toast and honey. At less than half the price of a bottle of champagne, the cuvee Eugenie is the perfect choice for your house sparkling wine or to feature at parties where quality and good taste matter. 12% abv.

Another blockbuster of a value from Antech. This has been a go-to value sparkler for years and the 2009 does not dissappoint.

Still the best Bubbly for the price if you have a Champagne palate on a Cremant budget! If your like me, who is not easily fooled by imposters, this will tickle your fancy! Watch the eyes roll back as you serve this to your guests all season long...you won't be disappointed!

Great Bubbly! Antech is one of our staples for delicious sparklers at very modest price points here at K&L and Cuvee Eugenie does not disappoint. The wine has a crisp acid but enough fruit and weight to feel richer and more textural than expected for this budget. 12 months on the lees gives some of that bready nuance, but this is really a fresh and fruity party wine. Stock up for your next gathering and let the bubbles flow!
