Törley "Gala" Sec
In 1882, when József Törley decided to put the knowledge that he had acquired in Reims to use in his own country, the tradition of quality sparkling wine making in Hungary was born. He found an ideal place in Budafok, with similar soil and climate as Champagne. And, just as in the Champagne region, cellars here are carved out of limestone that ensures the steady temperature essential for making good quality sparkling wine. In 1907 the winery celebrated its 25th anniversary. Gála is a charmant method sparkling wine made from an unexpected combination of varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling and the Hungarian native grape Királyleányka. Chardonnay and Pinot define the wine while the Riesling and Királyleányka add aroma and acidity. Perfect for all occasions it has the style for dinner but a price for mimosas.
