Bernard Tornay Grand Brut

SKU #1076661

Champagne Tornay has the luxury of being selective. They own 50 acres of vineyards and only keep enough wine to make 100,000 bottles a year total, exclusively from their Grand and Premier Cru sites. Located in the Grand Cru of Bouzy on the Montagne de Reims, this house makes powerful Pinot Noir dominated wines as a rule. This one includes 40% Chardonnay, and the rest Pinot all from Grand Cru vineyards in Ambonnay and Bouzy. A tremendous value and an awesome sparkling wine.

This is powerful grower Champagne. It is rich and intense yet still maintains focus and brighter lighter notes. A great apertif but this wine will really shine with meal.

If you are looking for a powerful, small production Champagne from a high quality grower give this outstanding bottle a try. 60% Pinot Noir lends great depth to the fruit profile while the 40% Chardonnay ensures a complex, finely tuned finish. The top quality fruit and meticulous attention in the cellar result in this deep, full, rich and balanced bubbly.

Phenomenal Value for Grand Cru Champagne. This wine exhibits power and richness from it's 60% Pinot Noir content yet also benefits from a refreshing floral lift from the remaining balance of Chardonnay. To get a wine of this quality from a small producer (100,000 bottles), exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards at this price point makes this a TOP VALUE!
