2010 Marchetti Verdicchio Castelli di Jesi "Cavaliere" (Previously $15.99)

SKU #1071179

When the weather heats up, it's so refreshing to have on hand a couple bottles of dry, very dry, almost bitter and minerally white wine. No region does this style better than the Marche. This is very fresh, straw green/yellow in color and pure as the driven snow. Almost like driving in snow, it's that invigorating! Fantastic with seafood and fish, particularly cold frutti di mare salads.

I think that I said the word "fleshy" twice in my review of this wine, referring to both the aromas and the flavors. So we've established that there is some flesh here. Ripe citrus and stone fruit aromas lead to a tasty palate with some nectarine flavors. A tasty wine to enjoy before dinner or with seafood.
