1973 D'Oliveira Verdelho Madeira

SKU #1061893

Verdelho grapes yield what is arguably the most effortlessly balanced of Madeiras: lightly sweet and wonderfully balanced by acidity. D'Oliveira is one of only seven Madeira shippers left on the island, and it is among the most traditional. Their stocks of old wine are legendary. This particular wine is a real gem, with a mouthwatering array of dried fruit flavors, subtle brown sugar and spice notes. You can have vintage Madeira open for many months, even years, without much noticeable degradation in quality. Also, please note that these wines love air, and will greatly reward decanting prior to service. (Joe Mankein, K&L Spanish Wine Buyer)
