2007 Domaine de la Solitude "Cornelia Costanza" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Grenache-lovers need to latch onto bottles of the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cornelia Constanza! This unctuous, hedonistic and full-bodied beauty is just overflowing with notions of ripe black currants, raspberries, licorice, roasted Provencal garrigue and hints of chocolate. Big, rich and decadent yet never over the top and always balanced and pure, it’s a tour de force in Grenache to enjoy over the coming 5-6 years, possibly longer. (JD)
Rich and velvety, with a lovely mix of red and black fruits--currant, blackberry, cherry--laced with ample anise, fruitcake and incense notes. The anise edge helps drive the lengthy, dark finish. Grenache. Best from 2011 through 2023.

Deep ruby. Pungent aromas of raspberry liqueur, incense, smoky herbs and spicecake. Sappy and sweet, with borderline-jammy red fruit character and a seamless, pliant texture. This very alluring wine finishes with strong lift and sweet persistence.
