2009 Adegas Cooperativos de Moncao "Muralhas" Rosé Vinho Verde

SKU #1058434

Just like white vinho verde, this is made with a light touch, a bit fizzy, with delicious freshness and a charming "drink me now" quality. Fresh berry aromas and flavors are livened up with a little bit of spritz and just the barest hint of sweetness. Produced from indigenous grapes such as Alvarelhao, Pedral and Vinhao.

What a perfect summer fun rose! Lower in alcohol means you can sip this delicious vihno verde all day long! Like the non-rose vihno verde's this is a slightly spritzy or fizante wine. Delicate bubbles with a clean and crisp finish. Hints of strawberry and watermelon seed on the mid palate make it very approachable and easy drinking. Enjoy it now before the summer comes to a fast end!

- Although quite small, Portugal produces a great variety of wines ranging from light and fizzy Vinho Verde to hearty and tannic Port. Portugal is Europe's fourth-largest wine-producing region, and has been exporting its wine since the 14th century. The Douro Valley of Portugal is the original and current home for the world's finest Port. The valley spans from east of the city of Oporto all the way to the border of Spain and is the country's best known wine region. Lesser-appreciated DOCs like Bairrada and Dão area also emerging for their fine, rustic reds. Click for a list of bestselling items from Portugal.
