Soon, they will be just as well known for their stupendous whites. Lime citrus and lychee fruit lend a thirst-quenching quality to this 100% Chenin Blanc. It is hard to beat as an opener to a meal, or when served along shellfish and salads. 89 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: 'her 2009 Vouvray La Dilettante is distinctively delightful. Pear, Persian melon, and pineapple dominate the nose and a silken-textured, luscious palate, with subtle chalk and salt inflections in its caressing finish. This vintage-typically generous, relatively low-acid, yet buoyant and (at only 12.2%) almost astonishingly light 2009 should hold its appeal for at least the next 18-24 months." (08/10)

This is an outstanding rendition of Vouvray. Great purity of chenin fruit with citrus, apple, quince and succulent minerality. This is the dry style of Vouvray and resonates with an incredibly long finish.

Chenin Blanc

- Also called Pineau de la Loire and Pineau d'Anjou. Chenin Blanc is an expressive white French varietal that makes beautiful dry, sweet and sparkling wines. Traditionally grown in the Loire Valley, the wines made from this varietal are typically labeled geographically. - Of all of the French wine producing regions, the Loire might produces the greatest variety of wines.
