The 2005 Grenache Kangarilla Vineyard is the most overtly fruity and flamboyant of the Grenache offerings. It offers up gobs of black raspberry and black cherry aromas and flavors in its layered, full-bodied personality. There are well concealed tannins which will allow it to have an extended drinking window of 10-15 years although it can be enjoyed now.

Dark purple. Seductive red and dark berry liqueur aromas are complicated by exotic incense, floral oil and spices; has the pungency of a head shop. Lush and creamy, with deep raspberry and mulberry flavors that reach every square inch of the palate. With its molten tannins, there are no rough edges to distract from the sweet berry fruit. I'm sure that this will age but I'd have no trouble drinking it now, and loving it.
With a bouquet reminiscent of plum pudding and dense, almost fudge-like flavors, this may be a slightly controversial wine. It’s full bodied and richly textured, with chocolate and plum flavors that linger a long time on the finish.
Wine & Spirits
This concentrated grenache holds its superripe fruit and alcohol in a velvety mouthful of flavor. The seamless texture is brightened by floral scents and lasting red cherry fruit.
Lithe and delicately spicy, with boysenberry and cherry notes mingling smoothly on the finish. The fine tannins lend just enough support, hinting at sandalwood as this lingers well.
