2007 Casa Ferreirinha "Esteva" Douro

SKU #1050956

This wonderful red shows resin-like and floral aromas, as well as a buttery complexity, resulting from the blending of various Douro grape varieties enhanced by its evolution in the bottle. On the palate it is a well-balanced wine that combines the softness of Tinta Barroca and the body and elegance of Touriga Franca. It is a very agreeable and easy to drink wine, ideal when young but also benefiting from ageing. Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca. 89 points Wine Spectator: "There's firm structure behind the well-balanced red berry and white plum flavors, which feature notes of raspberry and spice. Shows dark chocolate flavors on the finish, with hints of graphite. Drink now through 2013. 500 cases imported." (12/09)
