This is a wine you probably haven't heard of but think of it as a amped up Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. The wine is a blend of 90% Montepulciano and 10% Sangiovese. There is lovely cherry and raspberry aromas with a touch of spice on the nose. On the palate is plenty of red and black fruit and spice. There are plenty of tannins so it is best with dinner.

An intriguing blend of Sangiovese and Montepulciano. It's rich, full body and full flavor! I had a bottle of this wine with a plate of my killer polenta and Sicilian sausages, and it was heaven.
