2008 Gazin, Pomerol (Pre-Arrival)
94-96 points Robert Parker: "The 2008 is a marvelous effort from this property situated adjacent to Petrus and only a stone’s throw from l’Evangile. An amazing effort, the wine exhibits an inky/ruby/purple color, wonderful concentration, a beautifully sweet perfume of caramels, mocha, jammy black currants, and smoky blackberries, a full-bodied mouthfeel, a layered, skyscraper-like texture, and sweet but elevated tannins. Overall, it displays gorgeous freshness and delineation. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2025." (04/09) 91-93 points Wine Enthusiast: "A wine for the long-term. It has dark tannins, powerful fruit, with some extraction. The density is the power here, firm, solid and very tough at this stage." 88-91 points Wine Spectator: "Blackberry on the nose, with hints of dried fruit and mineral. Medium- to full-bodied, with very fine tannins. Tight and polished." (04/09) K&L's notes - ** Spicy, lush blackberry aromas follow to the palate. A fabulous wine. Rich wine with creamy texture. Seamless. To die for. Please note - 2008 Bordeaux futures are not in stock, but will arrive between Jan 2011 and Dec 2011 We will contact you for shipping instructions.
