I'd like to think of this wine as a crossroad of sorts… Absolutely Languedoc on the nose - garrigue, leather, peppers and spices. However, on the palate it is ripe and juicy without losing its focus. Kirsch, berries and very velvety tannins. Perfect for those more accustomed to a new world style but that are also willing to venture into the old. I love it!

This wine has everything you could want in a sub-$20 bottle. It has fruit, it has a bit of herbaceousness and definitely loads of character. It's really well balanced and tastes oh-so-nice.

This is a serious wine for less than $20. Under the same ownership as Pichon-Lalande, Suduiraut and Pibran (AXA) this winery is out to make great Languedoc wines. A blend of of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre on the nose, the rich black fruit dominates. The initial supple mouthfeel delivers more ripe black fruit with a long, astringent, spicy finish. A great wine for the price, it has quickly become a Hollywood favorite.

This wine has a wonderful spicy component that I really love. Red berry fruit leads to a meaty finish. Some of this will be in my cellar.

This wine is a visceral experience for me. I am intrigued by its smoke and roasted black fruit. I am entranced by its subtle crushed violet nose. I am intoxicated by its sexy musk of earthy tones. There is not a meal I can think of where I would not enjoy this wine and all of its wonderful subtleties.
